Happy Birthday!!!

So, today is my Grandma's and my Mother-In-Law's b-day.

I just have to say that these women are absolutely amazing.

I look up to them so much.

My mother-in-law truly is one of my best friends.  We spent the summer together and ran, went to the beach, cooked and read everyday together.  I can tell this woman anything and everything and she always has the best advice for me.

I have never met someone as cheerful and optimistic as Cari.

I hope to be able to raise my children, love my family, cook, befriend everyone I meet and make others feel comfortable, loved and laugh half as good as she does some day.  (I know my grammar is struggling.)

My grandma has been a huge example to me since I can remember.

I am so blessed to be able to go to Mer's (that is what we call her) whenever I want to lay on her couch, eat cookies and listen to wonderful love stories about her and my grandpa.

She is the most amazing grandma, friend, generous, devoted woman you will ever meet. Oh, and she is the best oatmeal cookie maker this side of the Mississippi.

I am so grateful to have such amazing, strong, women in my life.

What woman do you look up to the most in your life?

-Obviously these two woman.  I could probably write a book about my mother and my sister. I am so lucky.

What sweet pictures!!

I look up to my mother and her sister, my grandmothers and an aunt who passed away from cancer in 2008. They were/are such wonderful women who influenced my life greatly for as long as I can remember.

As strange as it may sound, my 8-year old daughter. Her bravery, determination, creativity, joy and limitless capacity to love inspire me every single day. As far as picking a grown up, probably my Aunt Carol who always seems like the BEST mom anyone could ever hope for.

What a great day to celebrate! My nana is definitely a wise woman and has given me such courage over the years.
Happy bday to your lucky ladies.

Aside from the obvious 'my mother,' I admire any and all women of athletic ability. Being British, my particular idols are Jessica Ennis and Paula Radcliffe.

And, sorry for being so creepy, but of late the person I idolise the most is, well, you. You inspired me to complete my second marathon yesterday and helped me to find faith in myself when I was at rock bottom: I thought of you and your 28 mile spontaneous run during the toughest moments on the freezing-fog laden course.

Aww this is sweet :)
I love my momma, and look up to her! Especially her fitness- she's in her 50's and still keeps fit by regularly going to Aerobics and BodyPump classes :) I hope I'm like her when I'm her age!

Happy birthday to both of them! I'm so very jealous of the relationship you have with your mother-in-law. It's something I wish I had, but it just doesn't work.

And how cute are both women???

Your relationship with your mother-in-law is enviable. It really is amazing.

The woman I look up to most is my mom. We share a lot of similar qualities, but I think she is a better version of me and would love to become more like her!

Thanks for this post.

pretty post :)
absolutely my mima and mother. mima had 11 kids (!) and is still hanging on strong. she's fought many illnesses and still does today, but her family and strong will keeps her going. love! i can barely even touch on the amazingness that is my mother...the ultimate 'mom'...has sacrificed everything for us, and i can only hope to give back one iota of what she's demonstrated and taught me.

I love how close you and your MIL! Treasure that - it's rare, at least among my friends. :) I had an amazing MIL too but she passed away 5 years ago to cancer.

Definitely my sister! She is so amazing - an incredible mom, wife, sister, friend, everything. She is a great example to me of how to love and put others before yourself. She would do anything for you...and not just do it, but do it happily! I am so thankful for her! My Mom is equally as incredible. :)
