You know you ate too much when.....

I have been eating a few too many of these.....

IMG_3142.JPG

because this happened.....

IMG_3050.JPG

I sat down on the corner of the bed and the whole thing broke.

IMG_3052.JPG

I wish I could say it was an old bed, but it is brand new.

I have officially heard every fat joke in the book by my brother-in-laws and husband oh yeah and my mother-in-law through in a few too.

Maybe I need to run 29 miles tomorrow.

P.S. Please know that I am kidding about the whole fat thing.  I just think it is really fun to make fun of myself.

Have you ever broken anything by sitting on it?

-A few months ago I broke my parents stool too.  It hurt my tailbone.

What are your New Year's plans?

-We are chaperoning our Brother-In-Laws dance.  I can't wait to embarrass him muhahaha.

So funny! I broke a picnic table once sitting on it - it actually flipped over our heads and broke.

New Year's Plans right now: nothing! Better getting started with those.

Your poor brother-in-law!!!! Don't torment him too much!

New Year's Eve we are just making dinner at home and enjoying an evening in. My favorite kind of night!

Lol, you look so sad! I break things by walking into them or dropping them on pretty much a weekly basis. For instance, for supper tonight, I was stirring a veggie stirfry and broke a plastic spoon. Afterwards, I *helped* out with the cleanup by drying the dishes and dropping two. I've never broken a bed, but I once busted up my elbow from falling out of a restaurant booth. How do these things happen?
My new year's eve plans are as yet unplanned. We might hang out with the fam, maybe some friends...I think it will be pretty mellow and I'm totally cool with that. :)

Um can't say I ever broke anything by sitting on it LOL!!! It broke from your awesomeness!

Simple plans with a neighbor.

Hahaha, I broke my bed too by sitting on it a few weeks ago - it was pretty old though. I'm hanging out with friends for New Year's Eve, then helping out a kids race & 5K New Year's Day.

I broke a chair once. Beds and chairs seem to be the common thing to break!

I am spending new years eve watching the Chick Fila Bowl! Combo football/new years eve party! Small and simple. Just how I like it.

My friends and I piled onto her bed for a photo-op. And down went the bed and all of us crashing to the floor! Broke the frame! But it was fixable!

New Years plans include a 10-12 mile run, relaxing with the boo, his sister and her husband!

Breaking things when sitting on it always reminds me of shalow Hal when she breaks the steel chair and the booth! haha. I've broken a beach chair...they're flimsy though right?

New Years - a house party. Not totally thrilled with the plan, but it should be an ok time.

I broke our bed, too. Same way. I glued it back together with liquid nails, and now it will never ever come apart again and we can't redecorate unless we chop it up and drag it piece by piece down the stairs.

I broke a porch swing once! It really hurt. I love that you are chaperoning a dance on Friday. Please takes pics! Or is that even allowed? Maybe they would have to sign a waiver. :)

We are celebrating New Year's East Coast time, so we don't have to stay up too late! ha! A low-key gathering with friends!

I'm sure I've broken stuff by sitting on it, but can't remember what... I've broken plenty of things by standing on them, too... one of the banes of being a short person!

I'm working on New Year's. Yes! third year in a row!

This would not be nearly as funny if you were not so tiny.

My husband will be picking up his new car out of town, so it will just be me and the kids for New Year's. We'll have to drink sparkling grape juice and wear a bunch of party beads or something. And I'll be trying not to freak about my sore foot. :(

I dont mean to laugh but.. HAHAHAH That is so funny. So sorry it broke though but looks like you had some help getting it back together.

Oh that is hilarious. My future in laws always make fun of me every chance they get when I break something or just any time I do something. Hope that can fix the bed for you! Have fun at the dance! I think I will most likely try to stay up till 11pm and then go to bed because I am tired. I know I'm lame.

Ahh i have so much catching up to do on your blog! Looks like you're having a great holiday though! I don't think I've ever broken anything from sitting on it. maybe an old chair here or there.

I never do anything for NYE, but this year I'm volunteering at a midnight race in Central Park. Should be fun!

Oh my gosh, too funny! I don't think I've ever broken anything, but I know my family and/or my boyfriend would bring on "fat" jokes too. Good thing you don't have any body issues! :)

You are quite a good sport. I would have cried if I did that. The Husband split his pants today - I didn't comment because I know one day my pants will split and I will cry if he says anything.

Hilarious!

Our old bed would randomly fall apart - the first time it did it was about 3am, The Husband and I were sound asleep when my side of the bed just dropped to the floor. What a way to wake up! It happened three more times before we got a new bed. Something was wrong with the crossbars of the bed frame...or I ate too much, which is equally likely! ;)

It would be okay with me if every piece of furniture I ever sat on broke, as long as I could eat that pan of cinnamon rolls... :)

Oh wow. I am sure a few things broke when I was prego and 70 pounds heavier.

For the record, I like to try to squeeze into kids chairs just to see if I can. heh.

Still not sure about New Years ... Did you eat all those cinnamon rolls?

PS I knew you couldn't wait until you left Big Bear to run. Ha Ha ha!!!

Can I just tell you that my boyfriends bed broke the EXACT same way.... while we were sleeping? No no, I'm serious. We werent getting frisky. It literally came crashing to the floor. I wont say its from IKEA, because it is... and I wont say that its been taken apart and put back together more times than I can count but i will say it was on my side of the bed.... and that I too heard every fat, dirty, innaprop joke known to man. Gorilla glue is a god send. THankfully the trusty bed is holding strong after we fixed it! :) Again, are you my sister????

That's pretty funny!!!!!!1 I broke a chair once. Of course, I had to fall completely on my butt and make a huge noise right when everyone in the room got quiet. It was pretty funny though! =D

Every time you mention those yummie pockets of goodness, my mouth waters! :)

NYE, we are doing it up big time - walking across the street to a neighbors, playing Wii and eating sloppy joes.

Don't be jealous...

Looks like a serious construction project... all thanks to your skinny butt! Those cinnamon rolls look ridiculous. I should go run 29 miles so I can eat the whole pan.

I totally broke a bed this way once too! Except I was babysitting and I was like 14! How horrible is that? It didn't involve me sitting on the bed tho so there weren't really any fat jokes associated but I did feel pretty terrible and was mortified to have to tell the parents when they got home.

That's so sad, I have never had a piece of furniture break on me, I think I would be traumatized! Way to handle it like a champ!

We haven't finalized our NYE plans yet, one option is going out and the other is not:) I am leaning towards not since we have big football plans for New Years Day.

Haha too many cinnamon rolls can do that you know! :P I've broken a chair before, and yes got a ton of fat jokes!

HAHA! Your poor bed...
I once broke one of my inlaws chairs- the whole thing just crumpled when I sat in it. My Huz made terrible fun of me but my poor inlaws didn't know what to say because I'm the size of a small 12 year old (depressing.) It was quite amusing.
Those cinnamon buns look ah-freaking-mazing. I want one in my belly NOW!

I broke my bed once too. But actually, I jumped on it and the mattress wasn't level on the frame and it went through the bottom. Very embarrassing. It happened in front of my first real boyfriend.. a Senior while I was a measly Freshman in HS....

I broke a shelf. I don't know what I was thinking, it was one of those ikea type things that was screwed in with two screws. I was sitting on it and I had just thought "I probably shouldn't be sitting on this" and bam.

Just came across your blog-this post is hilarious! I would have had the same problem if those cinnamon buns were in my possession! Instead I munch on everything else in sight, ha.
For new year we're planning on going to one of our fav restaurants for dinner then meet some friends out for some shennanigans of some sort.

I don't recall breaking anything... but once my butt got stuck in a plastic patio chair. I should mention that it was a child-sized one... lol. My kids laughed hilariously as I walked around w/ the chair sticking out behind me.

I'll be babysitting my kids while my husband goes out this NYE.

Happy New Year to all!!!

Found your blog through Failed Muffins - I love it! Looking forward to reading more.

As far as this post goes, I can top your breaking the bed story. My boyfriend and I were visiting his parents in Arizona for the first time, and they had given us separate bedrooms upstairs (totally fine). But I went into his room to chat with him, sat down on the bed, and it BROKE! We tried to put it back together, but eventually had to get his father's help... SO embarrassing, because I'm sure I can guess what they think we were doing! :(
