Hairy Legs and Mangoes.

Breakfast was syruplicious.  Yep, I made french toast with grilled banana after my morning run.  I forget how much I love french toast or maybe I just use them as an excuse to eat syrup and a caramelized banana:)

IMG_4663.JPG

My breakfast hierarchy (as of today...changes weekly)= Waffles>French Toast> Hash Browns and Eggs> Cereal> Omelet> Pancakes> Oatmeal.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE oatmeal but I just love all of the other choices even more!  Although anything with chocolate chips trumps all (example: choc chip pancakes> waffles)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I haven't shaved my legs in two weeks.

Normally that isn't a problem but today it was a problem for a certain somebody.

That somebody would be the message therapist.

I felt bad for about 28 seconds and then I fell into an unconscious state of pure muscle (including the brain muscle) relaxation.

My quad still aches but the rest of my legs feel SO much better.  If you are training or putting a lot of miles in, go get a massage.  I found an AWESOME deal online.....I refuse to pay full price for anything.

The rest of my afternoon was spent babysitting which was so much fun.  Seriously, I got to hang out with the cutest little boy, watch Ellen while he was napping and eat Megan's Mangoes.....oops, sorry they were calling my name.   I promise he loves me a lot more than it looks like.  (My computer takes pictures in case you were wondering....I didn't whip out the self-timer:)

Photo on 2011-03-11 at 12.47 #3.jpg

I shared some of the mango with him too, don't worry.  PS is it weird that I eat about half of the skin on mangoes?

Off to get some fro-yo with bloggers and then my night will be spent with the Billster fueling for my long run tomorrow:)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Would you rather have your back, legs, head or feet massaged?

-MY FEET.....I requested her to spend a lot of time on my feet ha, poor girl but these running feet need some lovin.

Do you eat the skins of any weird fruit or veggies that most people don't

-Mango and kiwi.  My 2nd grade teacher ate the orange peel and I always thought that was strange.

How often do you shave your legs?

-Summer=every other day, Winter=never, I hope the extra layer of leg hair helps to keep me warm in the freezing temperatures.

What are your Friday Night Plans?

I totally hear you on the not shaving thing. I got a massage a few weeks ago and totally felt bad for the girl who was doing my massage! As for what part do I like massaged, my feet! John refuses to come near them, but I swear I hold stress in my feet.

Back! I hate when the massage therapist doesn't spend enough time on my back. Although, the more I run, the more I want time spent on my legs and feet.

Now that I get acupuncture, I try to shave every other day. Before that, I also skipped shaving in the winter. My poor husband.

My plans are sleeping off last night's Lady Gaga concert (free ticket).

back and scalp massages are my top two. in fact, i had the most heavenly scalp massage while i had my hair washed at the salon today before my cut. seriously, if i hadn't been in the reclining position, i would've been drooling on the floor.

i'm pretty picky about peeling the skin off fruits like kiwis and mangoes. i even peel the fuzzy skin off peaches. just can't stand the fuzz!

i shave about 1-2 times a week year round. makes me feel like a lady. and with all the burpin' i do, i could use all the help i can get!!

gonna watch It's Complicated with the hubby after the kiddos are asleep. trying to think of something good to blog about too...hmmmm. happy friday night!

Winter shaving - I save that for special occasions and church. Summer - every other. My dream is to get laser hair removal on pretty much every body part.
Made delish peanut butter choc chip whole wheat pancakes and now watching tv with the fam.

I used to shave my legs once a week when I was a single lady. But now that I'm married, I shave my legs almost daily for my hubby :D. I don't want to gross him out.

And I agree, anything with chocolate chips for breakfast trumps all other options: i.e. Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chocolate chip muffins > a piece of toast.

Winter & shaving legs do not go together for me. It probably happens a few times a month, don't judge!
My favorite is back & leg massages, but a good head massage is fantastic. My boyfriend won't touch my feet after tons of running & not enough showering. Hah, again don't judge.

I had a massage the other week, and it was ahhh-mazing!! I told my husband that I think I could have a massage every day and not get tired of them!!

I am lucky if I shave my legs once a week in the winter, but in the summer--definitely a lot more!! Plus, what else am I going to do with all my time off from teaching?!?!

I eat the skin on kiwis! I once tried eating an orange rind, but it was nasty!

Yeah I don't shave either...I remember my aunt telling me she never shaved above her knee and I thought it was so gross..and now I really can't remember the last time I shaved above the knee...probably last summer?? My poor husband!

And I eat the skin on kiwi too! Everyone at works freaks out like little babies when I do it...but it's good! I like things hairy apparantly!

I love massages groupon and livingsocial are great for getting discounted ones. I love all parts of my body being massaged. My back and shoulders tend to get really tense though, so i think i enjoy it most there.

I shave every other day or so, my skin is super pale and my hair is super dark so its super noticeable if i don't.

Your breakfast looks SOOOOOOO good. I wish it was breakfast right now and that I lived at your house. Consider me inspired.

There have definitely been weeks where I have not shaved at all. I try hard to remember to do it 2-3x a week...but just like I can't be bothered to do anything about my hair, I'm more likely to forget in favor of a good read or run :)

I had TWO mini cupcakes today and thought of you!!

I had a massage yesterday and was really disappointed that she didn't even TOUCH my upper back, which is the tightest part of my body. I did like that she spent a lot of time on my legs, but even so... she also didn't go deep enough for my liking.

I shave my legs at least once every two weeks, and always before an acupuncture/massage appointment.

I shave just about everyday - I can't stand feeling "prickly." And I'm glad I'm not the only one who eats skins! I eat mango and kiwi skins, and I eat the white part of the orange rind.

Quick question....have you read Dean Karnazes Ultramarathon Man or his newest book RUN? I was thinking about reading it and wanted to know if you had checked this one out? Do you have any good running memoir-type books?

Have an awesome weekend!

I have never eaten a mango straight like that. I always take the skin off and cut it into slices, then put it on my thai sticky rice. Yeah, I'm a fatty.

I wish I were in Utah still so I could come meet you for fro yo!

Bahaha to leg shaving.

For real-I think I shave my legs on average once a week and I most certainly don't have blonde leg hairs.

I eat the skin on Mangos and Kiwis. I had no idea you weren't supposed too...I always knew I was a little...odd.

K- i love you, but eating the skin on mangoes and kiwis is just weird. Lol. Though i used to eat sunflower seeds whole. I couldn't get the hang of splitting the shell with my teeth.

And I'd go for the foot massage too. ;)

Shaving my legs?? Hmm. Once or twice a week. Well, no. It's once. Usually sunday before church. Unless I'm wearing pants... lol.

P.S. had so much fun today at yogurt land. You girls are fetchin gorgeous. Love chatting with you. :)

I am the same with shaving! In the winter, I need all the extra layers- I like to think of it as my winter fur :) I do feel a little bit bad for everyone at the gym who has to see my furry and albino legs, though.

and eating the skin? on mangoes? is that a utah thing?

SO fun seeing you today. you are simply fabulous :) Lets repeat this again soon!

I do not think I eat the skins off of weird things but I have eaten apple cores in the past...I dont know...I think I just thought it was cool? but not really so much. haha.

Ever since I went to an all girls high school I got in a really bad habit of shaving my legs like once per week. Sometimes this is twice per week during summer though.

cant wait to hear about how you ROCKED your LR!

I have to say that in southern Indiana a "Mango" is the name of a green bell pepper. I was literally in college until I knew the "other kind" existed.

I like to have my calves massaged more than any other place, but if I get to pick what's done, I'd rather have my back scratched! Seriously, I'd rather lay on the couch with my head in Dewayne's lap and let him scratch my back than go get an expensive massage.

In the summertime, I shave every other day, but like you the winter time is a whooooooooole nuther story!

I eat the fuzzy part of the kiwi too. I may have to stop soon though. It always makes my mouth and lips itch ferociously afterwards, and it gets worse all the time. It's funny because that's the only thing that I'm even remotely allergic to, but I just can't give it up yet. When my throat starts swelling and I can't breathe? Yeah, then I'll consider it.

I shave my legs every single morning in the shower. I cannot stand having any stubble whatsoever (I'm sure the hubs appreciates this!). In the summer sometimes I'll shave twice a day.
For a massage, I would go with legs and lower back. I teach Zumba five times a week, and my legs and lower back seem to get the tightest. I do love foot massages!
I eat the skin on mangoes, kiwi, and peaches. People think it's weird, but I'd rather skip peeling it because 1) it takes too long and I'm wasting my snack time and 2) it takes away some of the fruit and I want it ALL!
My Friday night was a date night with Daniel - a little shopping and dinner.

I love massages and prefer full body but if I had to pick one area I would absolutely choose back.

In the summer I shave my legs every other day (I can't wear shorts to work but I can wear capris) and in the winter probably every 3-5 days, depending on my mood. I don't know how you go so long without shaving!
