Best Pizza of My Life

Conversation with Billy this morning after my run:

Janae: B-dawg, will you pick up some fish-oil capsules because I am a six year old and can't do anything for myself and you are responsible and will remember this and I will forget about it in less than five minutes.

Billy: Yeah sure, how come?

Janae: I was talking to the girls that beat me in the last race and they all said they took it, I guess it is really good for you to take Omega-3 or something.

Billy: Cool. That is a really good idea, you are the smartest most awesomest thing ever and you really know your nutrition (K, I might have exaggerated on this line a little).

Doorbell rings 4 minutes later (NO JOKE)

UPS man drops off CHIA SEEDS.

Billy is creepy and reads my mind before I even do.  He ordered them last week without me even mentioning them and they are even better than fish oil for me (chia seeds are the richest plant source of Omega-3, they are used for hydration for athletes, help balance blood sugar along with many other great things!)  Be prepared to see these babies sprinkled on everything.

PS my arms and face are the same color.......if one looks blindly white compared to the other you should probably get your eyes checked out!

IMG_4648.jpg

I showered and got ready today because I had a hot date.  Yep the madre took me to one of my Favorite Restaurants.  Terra Mia.  SO GOOD.  She even had a coupon for 10 buckaroo's off so all of the amazing food I am about to dangle in front of your eyes cost $12 (I even brought home leftovers for Billy's dinner......3 meals for $12 yep, I get a high from saving money, it is weird). Plus, it isn't a sit down restaurant with a waiter but my mom still left them a tip:) She is a good woman.

IMG_4651.JPG

We started off with bruschetta for our appetizer.  They sprinkle magic dust on this.  I could probably eat 12 of these, so good.

IMG_4650.JPG

This is the Caprese Salad.  I think every salad should include 4 ginormous pieces of bread drizzled in olive oil and lots of freshly made mozzarella.

IMG_4654.JPG

This beauty would be the pesto pizza with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and chicken.  Heaven.  The dough is SUPER thin which is perfect because then you can eat more pieces without getting full and therefore more TOPPINGS and delicious pesto sauce.

IMG_4659.JPG

She then DRAGGED me to the Cupcake Chic and forced me to get a chocolate cupcake with coconut frosting.

Now I am stuffed and will let my body digest all of this goodness while laying down and reading for my MENTAL HEALTH.

Hope you are having an amazing Thursday and I promise if you come hang out with me in Utah I will take you for some bruschetta and pesto pizza k!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Billy just texted me that he is taking me on a scooter date and to put on my riding boots........I may have squeeled, the scooter is my best friend and it is finally warm enough to ride!!!

That pizza looks so amazingly good! I've never been on a motorcycle or a scooter. My little brother has a motorcycle, I should beg him for a ride next time I visit. It's not warming up here. Pouring down rain and only in the 40's. :(

I am so jealous! It is supposed to snow here tonight. 1-3 inches.

I love groupon for restaurants. Just make sure to tip on the amount pre-coupon!

Do you like motorcycles/scooters?

-I love how they look but they terrify me. My brother had a motorcycle and I wouldn't let him go faster than 30mph when I was on it.

Do you like bruschetta or Caprese salad?

-I loooooooooove bruschetta. Sadly, dairy allergies keep me from Caprese salad. =(

Is it warming up where you are?

-79F today!

Do you use coupons at restaurants?

I've been using Groupons when they come up for places I'll it. I love saving money!

Obviously, bruschetta and Caprese salad are some of the most delicious things on earth. I am obsessed with CHEESE, so the salad is a big DUH.

Yum! It IS warming up here, but that just means that the big-as-houses snow piles will melt and cause giant pools of yucky water everywhere.

Is it weird that using coupons always makes me feel really nervous - like I'm doing something wrong? Groupons are helping me work through my issues but it's still weird for me.

I have chia seeds and keep forgetting to use them. Guess I shouldn't put them in the top cupboard where I can't see them. Maybe I should put them by my chocolate stash!
I am LOVING this weather! Please let it stay!

What a fun day with your mama! It's definitely warming up here in Texas - this is a great time of year here. It's been really windy though and I'm scared of wind on race day! I'd choose bruschetta over Caprese anyday, but what I really like is the pizza. Have a fun scooter date!!

Cold & rainy here. 12 storms in 15 days, or so the weathermen say.

I rode a scooter once - really wanted to buy one - but I crashed & can't shake the fear of crashing again. (Also my crash? I basically fell over while doing .25mph. whoops.)

I've never been on a motorcycle/scooter, though I've known several people who ride motorcycles.

And I love coupons, but can rarely find any good ones!

I really like Caprese salads. There's this awesome pizza place here called Proto's and I love theirs.

I actually really like riding on motorcycles. My first boyfriend had one and we used to go on long rides. It was fun, but scary at the same time, especially when he crashed a couple times...without me on it, thank God!

Bruschetta is amazing! Yummy city!

It's hovering in the 60s here in Sacramento, CA and it's fantastic! Some days of rain, but it's all warm :)

P.S. I just got back from doing a 5K run followed immediately by a spin class. I thought of you and how you do your runs and spin on the same day. That's some hard stuff to do and I think I sweated out like 5 lbs of sweat, but I love the endorphins! You're such a good influence! :)
