Checking in!

Spring Break has officially started.

I just rolled out of bed.

That equals 12 hours of sleep last night.

My only plans today are to run and wash my hair.

I might be too busy to wash my hair though.

I would rather bake.

Hopefully, I don't run into a pole because my eyes are still super squinty and kind of glued shut from just waking up.

IMG_3136.JPG

Bread with jam and a donut are my pre-running fuel of choice this morning.

I can't think of anything else to write because I am too busy plotting out my 12 miler today.

Come back in two hours for a fully awake, non obsessed with what run she is going to do, donut eating Janae

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is your WEDNESDAY workout?

-12 miles and I teach spin tonight with some new AWESOME music.

Do you ever have donuts for breakfast?

-Our neighbors brought them over last night and either I am schizo or they really are calling my name from the kitchen.

What is the longest amount of time that you have slept?

-I think my record is 14 hours after finals week my junior year.   I probably took a nap later on that day too.

You guys are too cute running together! Love it. I can't wait til we get to change the clocks and Mike and I can run together outside again and maybe drag along the pup!

My Wednesday workout is going to be 14 miles on the treadmill with iFit mapping out the trip too and from my office while Mike is at poker night!

Hope your run is awesome!

Love your blog! What new music are you using for spin? I'm always looking for new, upbeat tunes to motivate my workouts!

Spring break! Lucky! I work at a school but I don't get spring break off. I guess I should have been a teacher rather than a social worker!!

Workout tonight will be 6 miles. Switched my days around a bit this week, but I will still accomplish my goal!!

I haven't had donuts for breakfast in quite a while but that does sound really good!

I think when I was in high school I slept for around 14 hours once as well. I was also sick though.

Yay for teacher schedules! Mine is that the end of the month.... I...can...make...it!

I love donuts but I try not to eat them for fear of that yucky feeling. But I love em! Glazed, Maple, chocola-tat-tay, custard...I haven't met a donut I didn't like!

My fav? Nutella Donut... yes...nutella!

Envy on the sleep. I have kids so I dont think I have gotten more than 5 hours in the last 7 years. Workout weights and cycling and a ton of stretching. I dont eat donuts but when I was pregnant I craved apple fritters from the donut store by my moms house. When she flew up to visit I begged her to bring me some and of course she forgot. Funny thing is my 3 year old is now obsessed with apple fritters.

i can sleep like NO ONE'S BUSINESS. i love those 12-hour sleep in days. don't get them much anymore, but they are heavenly.

as far as donuts go, i've definitely cut back. but one day about 2 months ago, maybe i had 8 krispy kremes in one day. MAYBE.

Hahaha wait the 14-hour sleep is the story of my LYFE right after finals!! Slash totally fine, my eyes are always glued shut after I wake up, slash running fuel is always best/yummiest/most nutritious when it consists of donuts. Yezzer! My workout today = most likely the elliptical and poss some weights since my upper body is SO sore from weights on sunday! Why am I so weak, I need to enlist a husband to keep my guns in shape!

I still am SO amazed at how you run 12 miles or more sometimes and then teach spin too! you are superhuman!

I think when I was sick I was only up for like 4 hours one day!

enjoy spring break!

What's a full night of sleep? I don't even remember...

I never eat donuts for breakfast. I occasionally (when my kids whine a whole bunch or have something to celebrate) get donuts mid morning after breakfast. This happens ~2x per year ... if they are lucky :)

Today's workout ... more not running. I think I will go the whole week not running with as stiff as my legs still feel. Tonight will be 2-3000 yrds in the pool.

I am on spring break this week as well!!

I've been sleeping in every morning. . . .until 6:30 a.m. I guess that's what you get when your body is used to getting up at 5 a.m.

I am running 5 miles today--I had a longer run yesterday--so today is a recovery day. Afterward I am going to go and get a free doughnut with a coupon I have!

Donuts usually don't call my name, but I found these blueberry cake ones with blueberry glaze on top that are so good. I had one after my run Saturday as a reward. YUM!

-I worked out with my trainer this morning. It was HARD.

Do you ever have donuts for breakfast?

-Not in a long time. I can't handle sweets for breakfast. Please don't defriend me!

What is the longest amount of time that you have slept?

-I don't even know. I think it was probably like 18 hours in college. I had been up for a few days, though.

I have donuts for breakfast when I'm having one of those "I don't care what humanity thinks of me, I'm staying in my pajamas and feeling pudgy and getting a sugar coma" kind of days. So ya, I probably make donuts my breakfast about once every few months :D.

12 hours of sleep? Wow, you sleep as much as my baby! :)

I could not be more jealous. Sigh. I was up at 5:30 to make 7 AM mass and then work. I think the sleeping in sounds decidedly more relaxing.

First of all, super jealous of Spring Break, my sister is a teacher too and I am so jealous of her summers off!
My workout tonight will be Bob Harper's Pure Burn Strength dvd and I'm really excited to try it out!
Sometimes I will have a donut if someone brings them into the office.
The longest I have slept I think is 10 maybe 11 hours, but typically it's a 8-9 hour night for me!

I ran 3.5 miiles and caught the first 30 minutes of an athletic training class. Had to cut it short because I have school Mon/Wed.
I love donuts. My friend does a double digit donut run. If she runs more than 10 miles she rewards herself post run. Great idea.
I love sleeping in but that's because I stay up way too late. So I take naps instead. One more perk of the kids being n school.

At March 9, 2011 at 11:48 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

So glad you got to relax and sleep in! That is always the best thing about breaks. The longest sleep I ever got was probably 12 hours after a dance in high school so I literally slept all day afterwards. Yikes!

You guys are so so sweet <3

I did a spin class and after I did 10 min. deep water running. So. so. boring.

My husband buys the kids love with donuts on an almost weekly basis. I try to shove them all down their throats before morning, but if there is one left, yeah, I have one. Who can resist a donut with coffee??

I think in college I likely slept a whole day once or twice. These days it's 6 if I am lucky...

things i miss about high school/college and why i wish i was a teacher: spring break.

today's workout was a 7 mile run through the zoo with the lovely blogger LAPT who is visiting DC for the weekend and hopefully a swim or spin after work.

chocolate donut holes are my favorite post-race food. i owe all of my race success to picturing them waiting for me at the finish line.

You are so lucky to be on spring break. I have a 4 day weekend coming up next month and I'm counting down the days. Workout today will be 4 mile run after work.

I try not to eat doughnuts, every once in a while I will get a craving and I'll have to have one. The last time was on Monday. They just opened a Krispy Kreme less than a mile from house (not good!) and I kept driving by it and wanting one so I finally stopped. It was yummy!

I've slept 20 hours before but I was also in the hospital with pnemonia. I think the longest I have slept on my own without being sick and on meds was 12 hours.

I think I'm going to come to UT just for some spin classes...the instructors at the Y here in town need some new/better music. Sometimes their music choice can kill my entire workout!

I love the idea of donuts but they usually really hurt my teeth. Something about being too sweet...but I can eat a whole bag of Sour Patch Kids or Skittles without any tooth pain...? I don't get it. But Skittles make me happy so I'm okay with it!

I had a cinnamon donut the other day. I probably shouldn't have, but I had slept through 2 meals, and I was really hungry, so I felt like I needed the extra calories. Haha. (I also had a huge meal to go along with that donut. My belly was happy.)

Who took your picture? I also like how it looks like you are missing part of your right arm :)

Wednesday Workout: 1 hour spinning

Donuts for Breakfast: rarely. sometimes on car trips when we stop at Dunkin Dunuts though. We do have pastries from a bakery that is about a 30 second walk from our apartment though...

Sleep: I actually don't really like sleeping in. I feel groggy when I wake up after sleeping too long (more than ~8 hours). I slept for 12 hours consecutively when I was sick around New Year's this year though...
