I am a weirdo.

This is what happens when my photographer (aka Billy) is still at school after my speed workout. (p.s. honey, photoshoot>electrical engineering homework, thanks).

I have a little too much fun with the self-timer.  I was a little tired after this workout.  My legs are still learning what speed work is.

6 mile repeats @ 6:17, 6:17, 6:17, 6:17, 6:20, 6:21.  Pretty good for only my second real speed workout ever.

Every muscle in my body hurts.  I almost lost my tuna fish salad sandwich 3.5 times and Mary Ann (my most awesome ELITE training buddy) saw me at my worst.  I even cursed in my head at one point and I DON'T SWEAR, that is how you know it hurt.  But it was the good hurt.....ya know where you are thinking that you are the bomb.com and that the only thing that could stop you from finishing your workout is a tornado or a table filled with donuts and hot chocolate.  (I am still on my runner's high as I write this).

I hurried and took an ice bath (after I finished my CYTOMAX, gogurt and Glutamine chocolate milk mixture, found on my gear page) and attempted to not look like a beast for my girls only Bachelor party.

IMG_4623.JPG

Allison made us delicious soup!!! Tomato Vegetable Parmesan.  She is a rockstar!  I provided the girl scout cookies and skittles of course:)

IMG_4617.JPG

We spent two hours of our life (plus an hour after the show) talking about the show.  Worth every minute.  Who needs to lesson plan or shower?  Overrated.

IMG_4625.JPG

Like my new shirt? It says 'I run like a girl. Try to keep up.'  I won it from JESS'S BLOG.....if you haven't been to her blog, GO NOW... She is the most beautiful, talented, sweet girl ever.

Welp, Today is going to be a long day......7:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. at SCHOOL!!! I will post at about four so come back for more weirdness and a triple tangent TUESDAY!!!

LOVE YOU!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is the favorite job you have ever had?

-I really do LOVE teaching the mostest but days like today are LONG and I reconsider working in general.  Why can't I get paid to run and eat all day?!?!

Does running with other people push you or frustrate you?

-IT PUSHES ME!!!!

What did you think of the 'Girls Tell All" Bachelor Episode?

-Don't read comments if you haven't seen it yet, that doesn't mean don't comment.....just hurry and scroll down to the bottom with your eyes closed.

Where and what is the best soup you have ever had?

-Last night's seriously was my favorite, I will be getting the recipe, and also in Seattle I had the best clam chowder ever.

You are super speedy! Way to go on your workout!!

It depends on who I'm running with whether I get frustrated or push myself.

My favorite job was probably when I was a nanny during my college summers. So much fun! basically we went to the beach everyday.

That soup look amazing!!! My fav is cheesy chicken tortilla, which is basically plain ol' chicken tortilla soup with a cup of cheese thrown in while cooking. Cheese+spicy+tortilla strips= deliciousness! =D
Congrats on your speed run!!!

Ha! Those pictures crack me up! Dang girl- you are so fast doing those 6 mile repeats!
My fave job would probably be being a nurse, but a close second would be when I worked at Starbucks- free coffee & pastries....yum!
Running with other people definitely pushes me, too!
The Bachelor was def drama filled but I fell asleep before it was over!
My fave soup is my mom's chicken tortilla soup...I could eat it everyday!

Why do you have to stay at the school until 9?? Thats absurd!!! I hope you packed extra skittles!!! Nice speedwork, I am jealous as always. The most mile repeats I've done is 4, I cant imagine doing SIX!! Like you, I'd really like to get paid to get and run all day and hang out with my dog. Why aren't there any positions open like that?! *sigh*

That soup looked AMAZING... I honestly wish I were there for the soup... save some for me next time k? haha.

I am a structural engineer. Had to take 2 semesters of electrical engineering. HATED it. It made sense to me, I just HATE anything electrical, to this day I still break electronics like it's my job.

Running with people. Frustrates the heck out of me. I am a loner on the trails and I LOVE LOVE LOVE speed work and tempo runs. If my body doesn't feel trashed after a run, then in my mind, I didn't run.

Keep up the good work!!!

Congrats on the strong workout. And I love the self timer pics! That's about how I felt last night after 2 x 2 miles on the track.

And that soup looks amazing, please share the recipe! My favorites are clam chowder and Italian wedding.

AMAZING job at the track, that was a killer workout, and you nailed your times!

Girl, you are a super star!! Those splits are amazing!! I can't wait to see you rock Boston! :)

My favorite job was working at a local bank. I was a "substitute teller" so I went to different banks around the area every week to fill in for tellers on vacation. It was an awesome summer job! Now my only job is grad student extraordinare! ;)

I don't know if I've ever had a favorite job, but I do know I've rather enjoyed working from home these last 12 years :D

I like to run with other people. I particularly like to ride my bike with other people because I really feel I can push myself in that sport in order to keep up...not so much in running.

I had an amazing clam chowder at the coast last year but I can't remember the name of restaurant. SO YUMMY...and BUTTERY!

Great job on your speedwork! Very impressive!! Keep up the awesome work!

My favorite job I ever had was being a college student. I got to volunteer for some really cool places, go to class and be a Papa John's delivery girl! It was fantastic!

Running with others typically pushes me to try a bit harder than I might if I were alone.

My favorite soup is my grandma's homemade turkey noodle soup that she makes after Thanksgiving.

Dang, 6 mile repeats! The most I've ever done is 5 and I thought that was death. Way to go. I've been doing more straight tempos lately, but you have inspired me to throw in a mile repeat workout this week or next! Thanks!

Your speed workout WAS the bomb.com lady!

Best job ever: working at a bagel bakery. Not really...but I wouldn't mind returning to the days of boxes full of bagels and donuts.

Running (and swimming and biking) with others totally pushes me. I love training with fast boys because I don't want them to beat me ever.

Wow-Great job on the speed workout!!! SPEEDY!!!!

Favorite job-working at a movie theater. Yes, I like popcorn......and candy.....

Running with others both pushes AND frustrates me. I used to run a lot with my sister. She is faster at short distance than me and that was a good push. In the same token, it frustrated the heck out of me when she would push through recovery or try to race me outside of the paces we had set. We are just a tad competitive-I love her!!!

I love soup! That looks awesome. White chicken chili, lasagna soup, french onion soup with loads of cheese!

Have a great day Janae! Congrats on the killer second speed workout EVER!!!

Hahahaha love the pictures!! WAY TO GO ON THE WORKOUT!! I don't even think my legs would move that fast if I tried!

Long school days are awful. Today my kids are taking a mock state-test to see how much more work we have to do before the real thing at the end of April and it's so quiet and boooring! I love my job though and wouldn't trade it for anything. Thousands and thousands of teachers across Texas are being laid off this year though because of the state budget (or lack of) so I'll just be thankful to have a job next year.

I'm learning to run with other people. It makes me nervous because I don't want them to judge me for being such a turtle but I tend to do better when I do.

You're going to be incredibly fast after you've done speedwork for awhile. I'm not fast by any means, but when I added it a few months ago I managed to shave 8 minutes off my 1/2 marathon time. It's hard but so effective!

Congrats on the amazing workout!

I looooved the Women Tell All. I can't believe I'm saying this but I felt bad for Michelle when she was cryin' her eyes out in the hot seat. Those girls were just attacking her. Ridic.

Also, I absolutely adored Dentist Ashley's makeover. She makes a fab brunette.

WAY TO GO ON THAT WORKOUT!!!!

My favorite job I ever had was a soda jerk at an old diner. I made shakes and sundaes all day. My favorite thing about it was getting to eat the extras that wouldn't fit into the glass. "Whoops, some for you, some for me." :D.

My favorite soup is probably tomato bisque. YERMS.

Favorite job ... definitely being a life guard and swim instructor from 15 yo - 20 yo. Sit in the sun, play in the water, get paid ... yes!

Right now I have been liking a spicy mex tortilla soup.

Haven't got myself together to put up more about my race .. but soon, check back with me later in the week.

Great job on the workout! I always felt like I was doing great with my mile repeats when I wanted to lie in the grass on the boulevard and take a nap ... or when I sped up just so the pain would be over.

I'm not sure if you could call it a job but my favorite work experience was the college newspaper. A bunch of idealistic 20-somethings eating and breathing what they love. Awesome.

I don't have a favorite job. I've liked pieces out of all my jobs and was really sure that I would love teaching. I just didn't forsee teaching Spanish instead of history. :D I get to go back to school in the fall so maybe after that I'll come across my perfect job. :D
I've only run with another person once, and that was before I really started running. I ran with my mom and (bless her heart) she did hold me back.

I felt so bad for Michelle during the "girls tell all" thing last night, I couldn't believe how harsh they were being! But the saddest thing about the Bach this season? Is that the winner was LEAKED and I accidentally saw who wins on the FRONT PAGE of a magazine at the grocery store! Don't they have laws against showing that stuff?! Dude, so if you don't want to know how wins (if you don't know already), don't go grocery shopping for the next week!

Wow, what a workout! And that soup looks delicious. I think the best soup I've ever had is my mother in law's split pea and ham soup. Seriously to die for.
Running with other people pushes me but can be frustrating if the other person is either waiting for me (which I hate slowing other people down) or they are worried that I am frustrated with them (which never happens).
My favorite job ever is being a mom. It is the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done. But right before that I was a project manager for a construction company and got to pick out all the colors and carpet and cabinets for the spec houses that we were doing. It was an absolute blast!

I just did the opposite of what you suggested, and scrolled through all these comments LOOKING for bachelor related comments. Only like 3 people talked about it! boring!

First of all, I've always loved Michelle. I think she is hilarious and entertaining and beautiful, but obviously never meant for Brad.

Second, every season they edit these talk-show type episodes like whoa. It's really annoying, you can tell they cut what someone really said.

third, I agree Ashley looked good, but she had work done, right? I stared and stared until I figured it out -- I think she had a nose job.

I also thought it was funny that Shawntel looked like she wanted to punch someone whenever Brad talked or was mentioned

WOW! I'm very impressed with both your speed and your ability to keep your miles consistent. You go girl! Teaching is so frustrating, my favorite job ever was a Starbucks barista, so much fun. If I had married a rich man I would quit teaching and just do that.

Love your shirt, whoever made it must rock! Ha ha! If you send me a picture of you wearing it I will post it on the Chick 9 Facebook page and website...you can be one of my models!

I used to be in a soup club at work, so I have all kinds of great recipes! My favorite is green chile soup with a little bit of cheese, sour cream and crushed tortilla chips on top! Sooooo good!
