2nd try workout.

Today's workout:  Started with 2 lamesauce miles.  I literally came home and crawled back in bed.  I was being super grumpy and didn't want to run and instead watched The Biggest Loser while drifting in and out of sleep again.  I had 12 miles on my schedule so I decided to do the things that MOTIVATE me to run (click here to see what those are) and I got myself back up to run again.  I decided to forget those first two miles even happened and did my scheduled 12 @ a 7:15 pace and felt awesome.

I came home and chugged a protein shake with glutamine and did some Jillian Michaels yoga meltdown.  My muscles were tight city but felt great after a few sun salutations:)

I wish I could say I got ready and did grading and other productive things but that would be a lie. Instead, I changed into my spin clothes, vacuumed my car, rented Eat, Love, Pray from Redbox and made the most delicious lunch ever.  I have to say that this is my ideal way to spend a day off from work.  Donut-TV in bed-Run-Lunch-Yoga-Blog-Movie-Spin.  I just need to figure out a way to make this routine a daily occurrence.

My salad had spinach, red pepper, broccoli and grilled tilapia that I coated in Italian bread crumbs before baking.  Fiber baby.

Did you see Eat, Love, Pray or read the book?  What did you think?

Ideal day off would be at the spa, getting a massage.

Katy Perry is okay- good for running. I have to admit I did download ET :)

If I don't want to workout one day, I tell myself that I could try just 5 minutes, and if I still don't want to, then I can stop. Usually, I feel much better and end up finishing my workout!

On a day off, I like to hang out with the family, watch movies and bake!!!! =D

It's your FIRST day of break, no productivity allowed!

My ideal day off would be spent doing lots of sweating, watching trashy television, eating delicious food and

I don't usually do the second try workouts in one day. Sometimes I'll bag it for the day and then try again the next day. I'm super impressed that you rallied and pulled off an awesome workout.

And, I <3 Katy Perry.

Your food always looks soooo yummy. I'm not sure I'd give my workout a second try, I would be too mad at myself for quitting. Silly, I know. I saw the movie, it seemed kind of slow in parts.

If I could spend a day off from "life" it would be to go to the beach and just do whatever I felt like.

My ideal day would be to go for a long run outside, have a bath & read a book, do some baking and of course read blogs ;)
I started to read Eat,Pray, Love a few years ago and never got into it but watched the movie and LOVED it, so I have been meaning to go back to the book now!
PS I love Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown, do it after long runs all the time!

I read Eat Pray Love but didn't see the movie. I thought the book was ok. Half of it was really interesting and half of it was really boring, so at least it kept me reading but I didn't power through it like I can with most books. (Although, you'd think I loved it from my blog title. hee!)

I hated that movie! I watched it for as long as I could stomach it and then got up and started cleaning house while it was playing. Even when a movie sucks horribly, I can never bring myself to turn it off.

Wow your day is my ideal day!! Nothing like sleeping in, eating some yummy food, catching up on extremely important tv (biggest loser), running, watching movies, blogging, and eating some more yummy food! i don't know why someone won't just pay me to do that every day!

if my workout is just a "filler" run (like a few miles) then i won't worry about giving it another try. if its a longer run then i'd def either push through it or go back again bc i get awful guilt when i miss important workouts.

i read eat, pray, love and LOVED it! it made me realllly want to go to italy and eat pasta, pizza, gelatto, and lots of fresh mozzarella cheese! and a vacation in indonesia that i could sit on the beach every day would be pretty amazing too. was the movie good? i keep meaning to rent it.

yay for spring break!!

My ideal day off would involve sleeping in (so that would mean that someone would have to dog-sit), it would be sunny and warm so I could spend the day laying out on my back deck reading Cosmo and Runner's World while enjoying a cold beverage. Do this allllll day long and then grill out for supper.

I'M SO READY FOR SUMMER!!!!!!

Woo hoo for spring break! Ours isn't until the last week of March. Perhaps we'll actually have some spring-like temps then.

I don't usually try a failed workout again that day... I'll wait till a few days later. Give my legs a few days of easy running before I try the hard stuff again.

My ideal day involves waking up without an alarm, eating some yummy breakfast and hanging out in my sweats until I decide to go outside for a long run. Then I spend time stretching, shower, get back in the sweats and read and watch movies in bed :)

Ideal day =
1. getting up for an early long run (the weather, of course, would be awesome and perfect)
2. then me, my hubby and my kiddos would head up to the local coffee joint that has a great patio area and chill out there for a while (the kids would, of course, be perfectly behaved)
3. we would then take ourselves to some incredible b'fast place (i just realized this perfect day off would be in Carlsbad, California, because this b'fast would be at the Naked Cafe)
4. and then, since we're already in Carlsbad, we'd spend the day at the beach!

i think my perfect day off somehow morphed into my perfect vacation day...

read eat, pray, love. LOVED it. loved the food and the spirituality. didn't see the movie. heard it wasn't as good as the book.

so, i know who Katy Pery is but i could only identify her songs because my 1st grade daughter and all her friends sing them!! how old am i??

My ideal day off:

Slowly change into run clothes and hit the pavement
Afterward relax and watch some Hulu :)

Ideal day - morning workout followed by a nap. Then reading a book by the pool (of course it's 85 and sunny out) while sipping a Sonic Diet DP. Followed by hanging with my girlfriends and a date night with my hubby.
Katy Perry - take her of leave her.
Not so fond of Eat, Pray, Love movie (haven't read the book). Just can't get over her abandoning her marriage.

K. Perry perfect for running.
Eat Pray Love: ah...for the movie..well I did not believe for one sec that Julia Roberts was Liz, I mean the real Liz. Real Liz is no Julia that is more what I mean. For the book...if she had been a single gal looking for her true self she would have won me over but in this situation no. sorry.
and I tried to read the follow up and I gave up after 20 pages.

perfect day: sleeping in would be nice but with 2 kids that will not happen until they are both teenagers!!!
so for now, a long run that goes well is good, brings some peace and quiet. getting a sitter for a couple of hours on sunday afternoon and going to the see a grown up movie with Bill is also good!

I muscles were sore yesterday! I feel your pain, I hate it!!!

My ideal day off from work would be to sleep in, have a great breakfast latte included, then explore more parts of New York with my BF and then go for a run by the Hudson River. :-)

I haven't had a chance yet to give a workout a second chance. It'll happen though, I know it.

Eat, Pray, Love.... Loved the book. I've read it twice! I've seen the movie three times! (Though the book is way better than the movie.)

And I love Katy Perry for running. Her music is great!

Great job getting out there!!

My ideal way to spend a day off is to sleep in a bit, have a nice breakfast, hang out with my spouse, go sit down by the water and hang out, then go out to dinner and come home and watch a movie. Pretty boring, I know.

I have actually given a workout a second chance once before. I was having a really tough time running outside last summer (so hot) so I came back and finished my run on the treadmill. I felt like a rockstar.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book but it is #3 on my Netflix queue right now.

I love Katy Perry's music. It's so much fun!

I read most of Eat, Pray, Love, but never finished it. I saw the movie though. Did you like it??

My ideal day off work...It would probably involve a good run, and a marathon of Top Chef. It would also involve sun shining through the windows and not a snow flake in sight!

On a completely random note, has anyone ever told you that Billy looks like Chris from Dashboard Condessional...? Because I totally think he looks like he could almost be his twin...

Have a great night!

I loved the book eat, pray, love. I thought the movie was just alright. But really, anything with Julia Roberts has to be good. In my book at least. An ideal day off from work for me would definitely be just lounging in bed all day watching tv. Doesn't get much better than that.

Ideal day...had a good day off 2 weeks ago (but it was a furlough day :( ). It involved buying ice cream, meeting a friend for lunch, getting a massage, and going for a run. Also getting my car's oil changed, which isn't as fun.

I don't think I've ever re-attempted a workout in the same day. I've rode my bike & run in the same day. But I think if a run goes awful, I make it an easy run and try the speedwork/whatever the next day.

Didn't read or see Eat pray love.
