Triple Tangent Tuesday.

MADE MY DAY..........

The CUTEST EMILY @ eat. drink. run. sent me the most thoughtful thing ever!! (GO TO HER BLOG...she has the best recipes, running adventures and she is BEAUTIFUL)

IMG_4626.jpg

A signed poster by JACK FULTZ (won the Boston Marathon in 1976).....it says, "For Janae, See you in Boston and in Rio 2016 (the olympics:)." I peed a little and jumped up and down for five minutes.....THANK YOU EMILY!!!  Plus she restocked my candy drawer (pantry).

----------------------------------------------------------------

Workout: 6 Mile Recovery Run at 7:35 pace on my lil' treadmill that I love so dearly while watching a Friends episode I have never seen....Phoebe's Wedding, SO GOOD.

----------------------------------------------------------------

TIme for Triple Tangent Tuesday where I tell you 3 really weird/creepy random things about me.....get read, today is especial weird.

1.  This is probably way too much information but that is why you like my blog right......I tell the world things I probably shouldn't and you realize every day how completely strange I am.

I have an inny and and outy belly button.  Yep, it is awkward.  I also have a little hernia right where my belly button is.  It is harmless but it feels weird if you touch it and it sticks out a little bit. This is one of the reasons I wear a one piece bathing suit and or coverup:)

IMG_0619.JPG

2.  This photo was taken 3 hours after consuming my breakfast.  That means I had a ginormous blackberry seed (plus four more that I already wiped off before thinking about taking a picture of it) on my lips for 3 hours of teaching and talking to other teachers and NO ONE SAID A THING.  They probably secretly were talking about how funny it was.  I guess this tangent is about the fact that after I eat there is always remnants left behind of what I chowed down on.....whether it be on my shirt, stuck in my teeth or smeared all over my face.  Billy always knows what I had for lunch when I get home from school.

photo-24.jpg

I really have no filter of the pictures I post on here.....strange.  If you haven't noticed before my front teeth are uneven and one sticks out way farther than the other.

3.  This is more of a confession and a tangent all in one but here goes........

Wedding-6888.jpg

We whipped out the top of our wedding cake from the freezer for our one month anniversary.  Billy was too full after dinner to have a slice so we put it back in the fridge (after I had a huge chunk) and somehow a few days later it was gone and he didn't even have a piece. I don't know who broke into our house and ate the whole dang thing, but whoever that was, that was very selfish.  It couldn't have been me....I don't really like sweet things or fluffy beautiful frosting that much.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tell me TANGENTS about you (keep in mind I am chaperoning all night and the only thing keeping me entertained will be reading your comments because I get them via email, so I am pleading for some entertainment k?!?)

If you are married.....did you freeze your wedding cake and eat it on your anniversary?

-I am not proud of myself.

Do you tell people when they have food on their face or in their teeth?  Does it happen to you very often?

Are you an inny or an outy belly button?

-What are the odds that I am left handed and an outy....weirdo.

I accidentally threw away the top layer of our wedding cake two months after the wedding, while cleaning out the freezer. Whoops.

I want to have the biggest wedding cake ever so I can have an endless supply of frozen wedding cake. I don't even care if I have to get an entire separate freezer for it. Also, when people have food on their face/teeth it depends on how well i know them if I tell them or not...because I get equally as embarrassed telling someone if I don't know them well so I just try to ignore it! If its someone I'm comfortable with I'll tell them no prob :)
I have an inny belly button!

I have an innie-outie too! :)

And I always tell people if they have something in their teeth. I don't really trust people to do the same for me so I usually ask whoever I'm with about 1,000 times if there's something in my teeth. It's a problem.

I'm SUPER paranoid about stuff in my teeth because I had braces as an adult...it's betting better but I always have a mirror on me. (Or, when I don't, I've been known to take a picture of my teeth w/ my cell phone camera & analyze it for food particles...)

Innie belly button. We didn't save our cake but we when our daughter got married we saved hers. We live in Texas and she's in Utah. About 8 months later we were running out of room in our freezer so we called her and told her we didn't have room for it and there was really no way to get it from Tsxas to Utah anyway. So my husband ate it. Luckily our daughter isn't super sentimental. I know - we are really bad parents.

I am left handed too but totally have an inny haha. I also get food stuck in my teeth ALL the time. After I eat PB (usually straight out of the jar) I almost always have it on my face so my boyfriend always catches me. I will probably save ALL of the leftover cake from my wedding and eat it for...years (yes that is how big my cake will be) :-)

You always make me laugh! Seriously, you knock yourself and it's so funny but yet you're a total supermodel:)

OK-we probably have matching bellybuttons kinda. I don't have an outy but in a previous life I had my bellybutton pierced and then they cut through it when I had my gall bladder surgery. A little awkward looking! Not to worry as not many people see my bellybutton anyways!

We did eat our wedding cake on our Anniversary! Yeah-I think it was mostly me too....

Tangents-I have absolutely not one single brown hair that grows in my head. EVERY single one is gray and now I have to box my roots like every 4 days. This sucks! I wanna be 25-ha!

Have fun tonight:)

We got out the top layer of our wedding cake on our one month anniversary too! Daniel doesn't like sweets all that much....which left me in a very compromising situation where I may have eaten all but two bites...oops.

If it is someone I am close to (teacher friends included), I always tell them (privately of course). I always feel weird telling them, but then I remember how awkward/embarrassing/amusing it can be to find out you have had food on your face or in your teeth all day (wink wink).

I'm an innie - and it's deep! I have my bellybutton pierced and it looks like the "jewel" part of it lives in a cave hahaha.

It depends on the person is... and I don't think it happens to me very often, but I'm super paranoid about it happening. Also, I'm paranoid of having a booger in my nose... TMI?

I'm an inny... nothing special about me.

I'm an innie and I always tell people when they have food in their teeth. With some people, it can be slightly uncomfortable, but I feel like it's the right thing to do... RIGHT!?

I have an inny belly button. Also...I have major anxiety about having stuff in my teeth or on my face. I always ask people awkwardly.

Tangents: today i used scotch tape for an hour to get the fuzz/lint off the sweater that I dug out of the BOTTOM of my clothes pile...I was a little embarrassed when I got to work and saw that my black sweater practically looked spotted. haha. I do this often...find things I have not worn in forever (like it is a new clothing item) and just wear them without second thought...oops. I get to work and buttons are missing or they have crazy lint or stains, etc...then I remember why I have not worn it in forever.

p.s. Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. Lets hit up the Pizza Factory Salad bar SOON!!!!

Innie belly button!

Our 1 year anniversary is April 3, and i CANNOT WAIT to eat the cake! Its chillin in the freezer, right behind my frozen fruit so that i see it every morning. AHHH cant wait!!!!!

My 3 Tangents: just counted my "bottoms" drawer, I have 9 pairs of leggings. LOVE.
Quesadillas for dinner make my WHOLE night feel better. Especially with mushrooms and spinach. Feels so classy to add veggies!
I always take my shoes off in the car, well, unless its snowy.

Tangent - my high school best friend's sister used to call me weirdo and still does (in an endearing way, i think) I can't really remember why anymore but I'm sure it was cause a collection of things that warrented that name.

I have an innie. I got it pierced when I was 16. I lied to the guy piercing it at the tattoo shop that I was 18. I went with my sister (she was 18 then) I know the guy didn't believe me but he still pierced it. I don't have it in anymore though.

I do tell people when they have food on their face or teeth. I have gone with food on my face with no one telling me till I get home and my bf says something about it.

P.S. I heart you and your blog :)

we totally ate our top tier. It was amazing! It was gone in only a few days. It was too good to keep around. It never stood a chance!

I have a hernia too! I one day was stretching and rubbing my stomach and noticed the lump. It freaked me out and so the next day I asked my mom about it. She told me that I had a hernia when I was a baby and that it "went away" Well they never go away so she said it must have moved. These are the sort of things that parents should tell their children.

Another medical thing that my parents never told me was that when I was a baby I was lactose intolerant. When you are lacto it sort of comes and goes so in high school every day I would get really sick. My mom asked what I had been eating. Every day I would have chocolate milk with my lunch. She said well you are lactose intolerant. So don't drink milk!

How do you go through life not knowing you are lactose intolerant and that you have a hernia! Only me!

We froze the top of our wedding cake and moved it to Chicago with us after the wedding. We defrosted it and each tried a bite on our first anniversary. My hubs proceeded to collapse on the floor with the fork hanging out of his mouth like it had poisoned him. It wasn't that good after 365 days in the fridge. :(
FRIENDS....still the best show EVER! I am running to The Bachelor tomorrow morning. Still have an hour left of the women tell all. GO EMILY!

But I didn't have a wedding cake, I had a bunch of french pastries. It was excellent!

We got married in June and I have no idea what happened to the top of our cake. We left straight for our honeymoon and I never saw it again. Bummer because that chocolate macademia cake was the bomb.com.

I always tell people if they have food on them. I try to save people embarrassment. This is mostly b/c I spill all over myself and I want to put some good karma out there. Someone has to tell me when I have food on my face!

Definitely an inny. Outies freak me out a little. But I'm weird.

1. Yes. Thawed it on our first anniversary and ate it. My MIL had packed it perfectly so it still tasted good. (She also made our cake.)

2. If I know them, yes. Just passing by, no. Maybe I am mean...actually, just shy...

3. Inny all the way.

I am actually not sure if we are going to save our top layer of our wedding cake. I love cake too much to eat bad/freezer-burned cake, so I figured we could just order a small one on our anniversary.

Year old frozen wedding cake sounds like the most disgusting thing ever. The bakery we used gave us a 6in cake for free for our one year anniversary. We each ate a piece then I took it to work and let those heifers chow down. bahahahaha :-)

I have an inny belly button.

I tell people if they have something on their face. It's kind of awkward, but it's more awkward when they notice then ask you why you didn't tell them.

Ha, great story about the cake. I wonder who ate all that cake? How very rude.

It's funny you share that because John and I's 1 year anniversary is this Sunday and my father-in-law recently admitted that although they had been keeping our cake topper in their deep freeze, it had somehow gotten unplugged and the cake went bad - mold and grossies.

He felt so bad he even thought about getting us a duplicate and not telling us! Ha! I don't care though. It probably wouldn't have been any good anyways.

Regardless, I'll probably make us a little cake for our anniversary date so we can have something sweet to celebrate with. I can't wait!

My tangent is as follows:

I love your blog, and I am so glad I found it because if not I'd be not as cool. Yeah, I feel like reading your blog gives me cool points. haha I'm a nerd.

I have this horrible habit of saying things like, "I swear on all things holy", or "Mother Martha Mary Margaret!", Its kind of horrible.

I hate it when people don't use paperclips and staple something together, then I have to unstaple everything and it takes forever. It also rips the paper and makes it look ugly, which is just horrible presentation if you ask me.

I don't think that I heard anything that my sociology teacher said today. I was too busy reading blogs off my google reader on my phone. I didn't pay attention the entire class and I have a feeling that there was something important I was supposed to hear. Ugh, I'm a horrible student.

On that subject, I hate college and have only done 3 semesters and I'm almost 21. I am way behind, and I really don't want to keep going. So I don't think I will. I realize education is important but I hate that there is no instant gratification, or that I'm not doing anything hands on. I'm crazy

Okay, I'm done.
Have fun tonight!!! :D

Yep froze it and ate it on our year anniversary and it was still yummy! The key is to make sure it's wrapped really well I think.

I have an innie, but after carrying three children I am all about the one piece/tankini actually this also goes back to the three kids thing, but the tankini is best because it so much easier when you have to go potty than a one piece, 3 kids = bladder control issues. Plus I find a lot of enjoyment out of making fun of those on the beach who shouldn't being wearing a bikini, and well if I were in one I am pretty sure that would be the definition of hypocrite. lol.

Have fun tonight!

I've always wanted an outtie but I'm weird like that ;)

We froze our wedding cake but ate it within 6 months. It was taking up too much room in the freezer. Plus, I never had a slice of cake on my wedding day (the caterers cleared it before I got to it) and I was antsy.

I would so tell you that you had something in your teeth. I even told strangers when I waited tables.

AND...I love watching America's Next Top Model. Don't judge!!

We got married in the middle of August and had an outdoor reception so we did an ice cream sundae bar instead of cake!

I am all about telling people about food on their faces since I'd want to know too!

I have an innie - we actually noticed our niece has an outie while we were babysitting this weekend, I've never seen one in person before that, lol!

Tangents... hmmm... I took my kids to the NEW Target today... they were begging. It sucked. It's too big and sprawly and high tech for my liking. I did get them a "treat"... Megamind. My husband came home and had lunch w/ me today :)

Our cake sat in the freezer for several years... several :P when we pulled it out and thought of eating it... inedible... even for ME! lol It had to be tossed :(

I always tell people about the food face or food in teeth or tags hanging out. I am nice that way :)

I have an innie, but my oldest has the innie/outie like you and my older daughter's is a cinnamon swirl... think: spiral.

We just got married last April and our topper lasted until we got home from our honeymoon. We get a fresh cake from our baker next month for our 1st anniversary so I'm already thinking about what to order!!

I am a dental hygienist so I ALWAYS tell somebody if they have something on their face or in their teeth. If they can't get the seed or whatever out I have been known to remove it myself with whatever "tool" is handy.

I have an innie, but I can't STAND for it to be poked or touched...I gag. seriously. If somebody kept poking me in my belly button I would get sick!

we had cupcakes for our wedding and we didn't save any because they were sooooo delicious, I ate like all of the leftovers the weeks after the wedding. My sister in law made them, though, so I make her make them all the time for me!

I eat all of the time too and constantly have stuff in my teeth. Today a coworker made a comment, something along the lines of "oh, you're eating AGAIN??" i think he was just jealous that I get to eat my lunch at 10 and then more at 12.

We also had a running joke with her mother (so my great grandma) bc she always had food in the corner of her mouth and we'd joke and say "ohh shes just saying it for later"...
so dont feel bad....you are obvs just saving it for later muaha

My 7 year old daughter is a lefty too with an outie belly button. She's also a fast runner (for a 7 year old girl). Maybe she'll grow up to be like you. :) The only times I had an outie was when pregnant. It was obnoxious and got very tender from rubbing against my shirts all day long. I would cover it with a band-aid so it wouldn't stick out so much and get so irritated. We didn't have a wedding cake when we got married. We had cookies and ice cream! We didn't save any cookies. I'm pretty sure I ate them all.

Didn't save our wedding cake. We got married 6.5 hours away from where we live, and we went away for a long weekend after we got married, so...hope my parents enjoyed what was left of it. Our cake maker made us a delicious (complimentary) 8" cake for our one year anniversary.

Inny.

I tell people (nicely) if they have something on their face, something in their teeth, an earring's about to fall out, etc. I'd want someone to tell me.

I have gone several hours after eating before noticing something like a poppy seed in my teeth. I scold my husband for not telling me. It kills me. He says he doesn't notice. Apparently I have to ask "do I have anything in my teeth" and smile with my teeth to find out from him.

That. is hilarious! If someone has something in their teeth\on their mouth, and someone says something, everyone else that's around secretly loves that person, because they've all been looking at it, and haven't been able to get up the courage to say something!

I CANNOT STAND when someone doesn't tell me I have stuff on my face. Like when I was younger and worked at an animal hospital. I just started my day, so fresh lipstick and all that. I was taking an owner's little dog over the counter and the darn thing jerked in my arms hitting my face. So I go back to the surgery room with it. Talk with ALL my co workers, dr's, nurses, other receptionists.

About 10 minutes goes by when I go to the bathroom to wash my hands from the darn dog and I have this HUGE streak of bright red lipstick across my chin!! From bottom lip aaaalllllll the way to the bottom of my chin!! AND NO ONE SAID A THING.

I marched right up to my co worker and demanded why she didn't tell me. She said she was embarrassed to say anything!! Yeah, SHE was embarrassed. Just don't get people. I tell anyone I see if they have something on them.

food in the teeth, i'll usually tell someone. If they are a complete stranger, probably not, that's super awkward. Once, i had to tell my dr that i work for that he had a sticker on the back of his pants and i almost DIED of embarassment. :/

i have an innie belly button. I totally have no shame and wear bikinis... which means... with your ROCKIN' elite runner hottie bod you should/could rock the skimpiest swimsuits ever. if ya got it... ya gotta flaunt it. ;)

I have an inny, regular boring ol' inny. And yes, I try to notify people if they have something potentially embarassing going on. It's best to have a code with friends if they have boogies... like "I'm craving some ____!"

I did freeze the top 2 layers, but took them out to eat when I needed room in the freezer. I didn't even get a slice of my wedding cake on our wedding night. All our guests were pigs!

If one of my friends has food on their face, I don't normally tell them, but that's because I think it is funny.

I definitely have an inny! It is so deep it actually makes "perfume" I am thinking of calling it Sewage #5.

So finally my aunt's helping my g-ma clean out her freezer and they find our cake. Thankfully they called and asked if we wanted it before throwing it out. Um, yes!! I'm not ashamed to admit that I ate almost all of that 3 year old cake. It was pretty good, too. Only a tiny bit of freezer burn.
