GOOD MORNING

Let's be honest here and just get it out in the open.  It is 11:30 and I just got out of bed.  Yes, I can run a lot but I am also one of the laziest people you will meet at times.  I just tell myself that recovery is just as important as the workouts.

Since half the day is over and I have yet to accomplish anything except brush my teeth after eating swedish fish lets talk about Saturday:)

After my run I took an ice bath (for those of you that asked about what that is......basically I just turn the water to the coldest setting and fill up the tub with water and lots of ice cubes, sit in the waist deep water with a parka on and shiver for 15 minutes)  I got ready ate some grub and then headed up North to meet up with the gorgeous.......

JEN!!!!

We ate ice cream and talked about running, life and food of course:)  Besides having a truly inspiring and motivational blog check out her blog for her injury prevention through barefoot running...she is truly remarkable.    Crazy how you meet someone through blogging and you feel like you have known them forever!

Better believe I wear those boots daily.  For the summer I will just cut the toe portion out of them and call them sandals.

We then went to Costco with my sister and her family and ate 3,000 calories worth of samples and only burnt our mouths twice on the pizza (I don't know why I don't believe the sample passer outers when they tell me to be careful it is hot).  Thank you Costco for filling me up with free food.  My sister and I have a great system going for us on how to get the maximum amount of samples without being asked to leave the establishment.
IMG_0666.jpg

We were that family in Costco that you could hear from any part of the store, I apologize Costco shoppers yesterday afternoon.
IMG_4678.JPG

Then it was off to see Tangled.  I am obsessed.  Second time seeing it and it was even better this time.

After the movie we invaded my mom's house to watch BYU get slaughtered by San Diego state while my sister and I got stuck on youtube watching this movie......so sad!  (PS I did not name the title of the youtube video.....that is what the person who posted it named it)

The grand finale.......CAFE RIO to go and muscle rub on my quads.  I got the pulled pork salad this time, heaven.

Sometimes I wish I had the ability to sleep past 8 o'clock... doesn't really happen much in this household, so I always eat breakfast foods.

I looooooove pulled pork, and so does my hubby. We make it in the crockpot with Sweet Baby Ray's and chopped red onion and it is so good. It's also good on top of a baked potato with some cheese on top. Yum!

I watched How to Train your Dragon recently and LOVED it! It was sooo good.

And Jen is so fabulous...so awesome you got to hang out with her. She really is inspiring :)

I usually make sure to still eat breakfast...I get a little anxious if I do not get all 3 of my meals in...haha!

And pulled pork salad at cafe rio...yum...my mouth is watering.

I have those boots (in brown...ok, and black too) and wear them ALL the time! I love pulled pork, we make it in the crock pot all the time. If I wake up super late (which is rare) I eat breakfast! You can't go wrong with breakfast food!

I usually still eat breakfast because I crave breakfast food in the morning. It's my favorite meal of the day.

Pulled pork is delicious. It is probably my favorite BBQ food.

I definitely eat breakfast no matter what time i wake up - although I never sleep past 8 or 9 anyway...but seriously, breakfast is my favorite. I could eat it for every meal. and by could, I mean I do ha.

p.s. I have been going through all your blog posts and i may have forgone sleep and homework the past couple days, but I am officially all caught up :) totally worth it - who needs sleep or good grades?

Okay, so I just watched that marathon finish video five times and cried each time. I don't like the title "very funny marathon finish." Not funny at all! So sad!

As for breakfast / lunch, I'll eat whatever not picky. This morning it was left over pizza with eggplant, chicken and roasted red peppers.

Favorite cartoon movies: Beauty and the Beast (Disney versios), Monsters, Inc, Lion King

That movie is so sad:( Maybe they did not have enough Gu shots on the way:(

You should tell us your sister's secrets for maximum samples!

I loved Tangled, although I genuinely can't pick a favorite animated movie! I have more than one shelf of Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks movies. I will definitely be adding Tangled to that shelf.

So, I hate pulled pork. My mom and step dad are Kosher Jews and I just never developed a love for pork products, even though I'm not a practicing Jew. My real dirty secret is that I detest the smell of bacon. People start yelling at me if I mention that most of the time.

I also woke up at 11:30 and I had a small breakfast followed by a real lunch a few hours later. I guess daylight savings time is not my friend.

Oh my gosh those poor ladies trying to finish that marathon!!!

Gustavo and I went to Coscto and Friday and obviously I made him go around to everyyy sample with me. That's the best part!!

Make french toast for breakfast/lunch! That's what we did :)

Oh my goodness that marathon finish is so sad!! :( Those women have some serious heart for crawling to the finish.

My favorite animated movie is and oldly but goody. FERNGULLY!!! Happy Feet is a close second though. I begged my dad to watch it with me and he told me not to tell anyone how much he liked it (oooopppss) :) I also love Finding Nemo. When I get tired running, I just think of Dory and sing Just Keep Running in my head!

If I wake up late, I usually just skip to the next meal! I love lunch!

I'm so jealous that you are going outside without a jacket. We're finally going to have an entire week above 40* this coming week! Can hardly wait for this snow to really melt.

I can't wait to see Tangled now! I've heard so many good things! Plus I'm obsessed with all things Disney/Pixar.
Costco samples are the BEST- much better than stingy Whole Foods and TJs.
Even if I don't get up till 1p, I make sure I never miss a chance to eat breakfast! It's my fave meal!
Also, have you tried turning on your space heater in the bathroom while taking an ice bath? I think it would make the ice seem warmer?

Hi Janae! I recently came across your blog and love it! Anyways.... If I ever were to wake up at lunch time, which would be a miracle if I could sleep in past 7, would be a veggie omelette, some toast, and fruit, and maybe some dark chocolate...I think it completes every meal!

I get pretty lazy on weekends too. Most of the time I end up eating breakfast, then messing up my eating schedule for the rest of the day. I just went to Costco with my family for some spinach & broccoli - the essentials.
My favs are Tangled, Little Mermaid, Lion King & Up! I think Up is one of my all-time favs, it's so cute.

Also I wanted to tell you that yesterday I did my longest run yet - 20 miles. I'm a REALLY slow runner so I had a lot of time to think about things and try to self motivate. When I really wanted to give up I thought to myself "if Janae can run a full marathon on a treadmill I can surely run 20 miles on a gorgeous sunny day"

Thanks for the inspiration! :)

For a girl who is a foodie, have you seen Ratatolli (sp?) Such a cute cartoon movie!!

I am a big believer in satisfying the craving on the weekend......if I wake late and crave sweet/fruit I do breakfast foods, crave salty/veggie i do lunch. i did not even wake as late as you (10) and I hamburger and a salad for breakfast and a bowl of cereal/apple for lunch, and both hit the spot!!

Pulled pork......depends. Pork I love, but BBQ....depends on the day.

Happy lazy day you deserve it.

Janae....thank you so much for your kind words. I deleted that comment about an hour after I posted it, because I realized I was just in an awful, bitter mood when I wrote it and the feeling passed. I love your blog so much, and 99.99% of the time you are just an amazing inspiration to me and all your readers...

But sometimes I do get caught in the comparison trap, and it is an ugly ugly thing. The blog world is fairly new to me, so I'm adjusting to seeing my numbers and lifestyle juxtaposed to everyone elses. I totally, 100% appreciate that everyone is different and the important thing is to focus on your own goals and accomplishments.

With that said, I regret you saw that comment before I deleted in, and thanks for being truly one of a kind. Love.

I don't think I have ever even seen one.. hmmm

Not sure what my favorite cartoon movie is at the moment...no kids and I haven't babysat in a year and a half, so I'm a little out of the loop. I want to see Despicable Me and Up still though.
