Kitchen Staples and Friday Happy dance

Dinner wasn't eaten until 9:10 p.m. I know. Who am I? How did I let this happen? We usually eat WAY earlier than that in order for me to be in bed by 9:30. Well it was an interesting day......let's just say those side stitches have not gone away and it is driving me insane.

I wasn't craving anything in particular when I got home (except for hot chocolate) so I just pulled together a bunch of ingredients and it turned out really good.

Tortilla with melted cheese, spinach, avocado, grilled tilapia, mas queso and sour cream.

I may have almost gotten into the car to go to the store in my pj's and face mask on to get salsa. I LOVE salsa and I put it on my salads all of the time. It hurt my heart a little to be without it but tomorrow is a new day and I am going to have to sneak into my mom's food storage to steal some more of her freshly canned salsa.

The night ended very well......Rocky Road ice cream with M&M's eaten out of my favorite purple mug while watching The Bachelor.

It is FRIDAY people. One, Two, Three......do your happy dance....here is mine:) I washed my hair today and my hair rejected the shampoo and made it look greasier than ever.

3 miles on the treadmill......My coach switched my long runs to Saturday's so now I will be getting up and going long before spin!!!

-Emily 100%......he is whooped over her. Who wants to skype while watching the last two episodes so that we can analyze every little detail and talk about everything?!?!

-I love eating ice cream out of a mug but Billy thinks it is strange........do you ever eat out of a mug?

What are 5 staples that you HAVE to have stocked at your house at all times?

-I already listed salsa so that doesn't count. Broccoli, Spinach, Eggs, Candy, Bananas.......okay, just a few more. Yogurt, Bananas, Chocolate Chips, Costco Whole Wheat Bread and Tuna.

What time do you eat dinner?

-Usually between 6 & 7, I felt like I was in college again eating way too late at night.

My kitchen staples that I always have and buy no matter what every week are apples, bananas, baby carrots, spinach, broccoli, tofu, greek yogurt, eggs and milk. I also have a special snack drawer that's filled with other necessities, like sour patch kids, swedish fish, m&ms, stacey's cinnamon sugar pita chips!! :)

i try to eat dinner as early as possible, but my bf and i both work so late/have lots going on during the week so prob half the time we eat at 8:30 or 9, which is so late.

have you ever scrambled your eggs with salsa? before cooking them add a bunch of salsa and then scramble - it looks a little weird but is soo good!

I eat ice cream out of a mug. I don't know why, but it makes me feel good. Also, I have big bowls and if I put the ice cream in there I know I will overdo it and scoop more than I need.

We usually eat in between 6-7pm (after I have finished running :) ).

Are your side stitches from running? I used to get side stitches pretty bad when I ran. I found that if I changed my breathing so that if I was breathing in when my left foot struck the ground/out when right foot struck, I switched it to the opposite. That worked. Or if it's pain not from running, I got that too, I didn't know it was also considered a side stitch though. I checked that out with my doctor, and he said it was most likely stress related. causing cartilage to rub in my bones. Nothing too serious - but if yours is stress related, take it a little easier on yourself! You're so awesome - no need for stress :)

Kitchen staples, hmm...eggs/yogurt/cottage cheese/apples/bananas/strawberries (if they're in season)/bread/CHOCOLATE/PEANUT BUTTER:). Okay, that was more than five but you cheated first;).

Dinner time is usually sometime between 5:30 and 7:30. I can NOT eat later than that or I will literally die from severe hunger pains:).

2) Greek yogurt
3) Apples
4) Edamame. Seriously. Can't live without it. I get it at Costco in those individual serving bags & eat it at work. YUM.
5)Cottage cheese. Love it on its own, or as a salad topper instead of dressing.

Basically I feel like I am on a little kid's schedule all day, lunch at 12 snack at 3 dinner at 6 bedtime at 9. Pathetic but keeping on my schedule helps me do my best during my morning workouts at 4am!
