More chocolate than most people eat in a year.

Besides just enjoying sweat in my eyeballs, I clearly enjoying having hair in my eyeballs.

We decided to celebrate V-day last night and make a special meal at home on Monday.

IMG_4047.JPG

We splurged and our date wasn't completely free this week but it was dirt cheap for PF Changs.

My lil' student teacher is a server there and she hooked us up big time.

We started off with delicious soup....Egg Drop and Hot and Sour.  I love starting meals off with soup especially since we were still warming up from being outside.

IMG_4040.JPG

Next up.....the legendary lettuce wraps.  I don't know what they put in their sauces but A. they cannot be remotely good for you and B. they must have traces of crack in them.

IMG_4042.JPG

Billy wore my favorite shirt of his, husband points.

IMG_4043.JPG

For dinner we had Kung Pao Chicken, Honey Glazed Shrimp and Szchewan Asparagus.

I love those little rice noodles, they are so fun to eat.

IMG_4044.jpg

I ended the night with one of those miniture two bite desserts.......

IMG_4046.jpg

That's a lie.....I ran 18 miles yesterday and that called for the Great Wall of Chocolate at home.  Billy is making me share with him though.  As long as I get at least 1/4 cup of that frosting I will be happy.  P.S. chocolate chips should be mandatory in all frosting.

IMG_4049.jpg

We watched the new Office (HILARIOUS) and 12 episodes of Arrested Development.  I love setting up my own little bed on the living room floor.  It allows me to be as lazy as possible.  Don't mind the open bottle of lotion and girl scout cookies in the picture and the fact that I just throw my purse on the floor....I was tired and had cake calling my name.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you like using chopsticks?

-YES....I think they are so fun.  At dinner we started planning a vacation to Hong Kong just so that I can use chopsticks for every meal.

Do you like spicy food?

-Before Billy I never really tried it but now I am hooked.  The spicier the better.

When offered soup or salad before a meal which one do you choose?

-I go through phases, but right now I always choose soup because no restaurant can make a better salad than I can;)

What is your Saturday workout?

-Teach spin, cross-training and WEIGHTS (we shall see how that one goes).

That reminds me of forts I used to make with my sisters when we were kids - we would make blanket forts in our living room and stay under them with books & games all day!
I love using chopsticks, and I've gotten so good because of all the sushi I eat. I'm the same way - I never really like spicy food, but my boyfriend likes to add tons of spice when he cooks, so I've learned to love them. We found an incredible maple ginger habanero sauce.
Good luck on your weights! I might attempt some today too.

I love rice noodles, back in the day my sister and I used to buy ramen noodles and eat them plain!

Slash is that a whole half a head of lettuce?! Giiiirl now I have to go to Chang's!

I absolutely love chopsticks, I bring chopsticks to school to eat my lunch with because they are so much more fun than a fork:)

I like spicy food, but I can only handle a little bit of spice, I am a baby. Slash I always choose salad, I love me some greens!

My Sattyday workout is most likely going to be running for a little bit and then spin:) And possibly weights we shall see.

Slash giiiirl it is TOTALLY fine, I spent my night watching three episodes of Lie to Me and three of Glee..slash I had a chocolate milkshake while I was watching it and it was so. freaking. good. Fridays are not complete without chocolate!

And OF COURSE I am not working today! Lol. I ran last night…really.

That is the biggest piece of chocolate cake I have ever seen on a plate intended to be eaten at one sitting....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Yeah for cheap date nights!

I will use chopsticks when I eat sushi. I am not a big fan of super spicy foods though; I guess I'm just too weak!

I'm doing a long run this morning! I hope I don't freeze my bum off!

Aaaaaaand now I must have Pei-Wei for dinner, yuuuuum. Love chopsticks! Can't do too spicy, but my new favorite is to put the GREEN (more mild) tabasco on everything! Long run tomor. Happy V-Day!

Happy Valentines Day to you and Billy! You two are adorbs.

I am chopsticks handicapped. I can't use them to save my life. Sushi ends up all over my lap.

Being from Vermont, I never could handle spicy food but now I'm dating a guy who loves it and my tolerance for spice has skyrocketed lately!

Salad. Unless I'm getting sushi. Then miso soup AND ginger salad.

My Saturday workout will be an easy run or swim to keep trying to get better from being sick (ick) and get ready for a race tomorrow!

Saturday workout: sprints and weights. Love me some SPEED.

Also, I recently posted on teens and Valentine's Day - thought you might be able to relate to it since teen drama is also a big part of your life, too =) Here's the link to that one if you're interested during your Sunday blog stalking...

There's also a Part II on why you should NOT try to bake 200 cookies for them on a week night.

P.S. I think my sister and I are going to try your pizza recipe on Monday! Also, I always think of you when I am trying to run on the treadmill - you're treadmill marathon post is my inspiration! Thanks for sharing =)

SAMOAS!! Or did they change the name? One of the best parts about Chinese food is after about two hours you could totally do seconds, and thirds, and fourths. Plus, more room for chocolate chip icing. I'm glad you're a part of that crew. I wasn't sure if I was just crazy or brilliant. I prefer the latter. :) Have a great Saturday, girl! P.S. You're absolutely beautiful! Even gorging Chinese food like there's no tomorrow :)

I was thinking of going to PF changs last night because someone at work suggested those lettuce wraps! They sound so good!!

I ran this morning in the snow - it was intense but nice to be outside.

I love hot tea in the winter before dinner and salad usually unless its a soup I like. I guess I am picky about my soups!

The last Office was especially hilarious. We watched it thursday, and today my boyfriend was randomly like "I can't get over how good that last office was. It was soo good". I love Gabe and the new Secretary whose name I can't think of right now.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT MOVIE has been confirmed!! let the countdown begin!!

I love the pic of you laying on the floor. I do the same. something about the floor is so comfy for me. When the hubs was away last year I literally chose to sleep on the floor, and one of the best nights sleep ever. Did not even have to get up for my usual 2 bathroom breaks.

I am just starting to adore spicey food as well. Buy some BW3 wings sauce, it is delicious on eggs.

Workout was cross train on the bike this morning. maybe some weights later (probably done while catching up on shows to make it less painful)

Happy weekend to you!

I love PF Chang's! And agree they have the most incredible sauces. Scary incredible. Your hair looks gorgeous in the pic of you at the table by yourself. I hope y'all had a blast. My Billy and I camp out in our living room on the couch with all of our snacks, blankets, slipper socks, etc. I love chop sticks! I love spicy foods, too. And today Billy and I are planning a long bike ride and a picnic. We've been married for 5 months today.

I hope your day is fabulous!

I have never been to PF Changs but I have always heard great reviews!

Chopsticks are so fun! I use them all the time when eating sushi, or food that I can justify using them for :)

I inherited the spicy gene from my father who pours hot sauce on his hot sauce. I love spice. Bring it.

Depending on the selection, I usually choose salad. I am very particular about both types of food, so I go with whatever one suits my fancy that day.

My Saturday workout is pretty unconventional: I am injured right now, so running is out for the time being. So today my workout is serving 14 hours strait which to me consists of cardio from running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, and weight lifting from carrying all my trays high above my head. Hey, you do what you can.

At February 12, 2011 at 11:01 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I'm a big fan of chopsticks but haven't had a chance to use them in a while, I've probably lost my skills.

My workout is going to be 4 hours of snowboarding...probably the last time this year.

OMG. You two are way too cute! Last year for my birthday my hubs went to the Strip House to get a piece of their chocolate cake, that we saw on "Best Thing I Ever Ate" on the Food Network. It was HUGE!!! We had to share it and couldn't even finish it that night. But yeah, I can definitely put down a lot of chocolate!

We're probably doing dinner at home on Monday too (with some chocolate!) but going to a cheap-o dinner and movie tonight. Ran 6.5miles this morning.

I LOVE hot and sour soup!!! My favorite!!! I also really like a greek lemon soup with a chicken base. Yum. It's not spicy, but i really do like spicy food. I think the spiciest I've had was Korean.

Re the soup/salad: I go to olive garden because you can get both a soup and a salad =D

My workout today was 20 miles at "easy pace"...didn't feel too easy, though. Haha!

I love your idea of celebrating V-Day early!! I think I will follow suit! PF Changs is so delish--I miss having restaurant options available close by. Yes on chopsticks!! When in Rome...err, China?? :)

I usually choose sald HOPING it will fill me up more--and you MUST have at least a 1/4 cup if not 1/2 of icing per bite-o-cake--it's your b'day week, you are allowed 2 desserts! Oh, and the fact that you pull out double digit runs daily!! :)

Happy Saturday to you and Billy!

I like medium spicy food. I can't tolerate hot- hot-hot food. Apparently I'm a spice wimp.

Sometimes it's hard to find a vegetarian soup, so I usually opt for salad.
