It is officially my Birthday Week.

For this entire week please remember that it is my birthday week, it might be helpful and a good reminder to put this important week into your phones or on your calendar/day-planner/computer.  If you wish to leave extra long comments telling me how we are best friends and that you are going to enjoy skittles and a fro-yo in my honor please do so.

Billy asked me yesterday if we could be twinner's.  He loves to wear the same color as me.  So, I let him this time only.

He also asked if we could do a kissing picture but then he backed out and now I am embarrassed.

IMG_3992.jpg

Okay, so he got dressed before I did but I am pretty sure it was the highlight of my week to both be wearing purple at the same time. I had to document it.

IMG_3993.JPG

For dinner I really just wanted 25 biscuits with honey butter but I decided to load up on taco soup and jello too.  If you have heard rumors that Utah eats a lot of jello, it is the truth.  There were blackberries and bananas in that jello too, brilliant combination.

IMG_3995.JPG

I think there was some sports game going on yesterday but I opted to loose in bingo to a 8-year old instead of watching the football game.

Reason #34598 to run:

IMG_3997.JPG

You can eat all the brownies and ice cream that you want.  Okay, maybe that's not true but let's just close our eyes and pretend real hard that it is and maybe it will come true.

Giveaway in the afternoon post today.......don't forget to come back later.  You are going to want to win this one!!

------------------------------------------------------------

Go wish TMB @ Racing with Babes and Ali @Aliruns a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------

P.S. for some reason Wordpress blogs send my comments to spam....it makes me sad, so check your spam so that we can be blog bff's and you get my comments:)

What is your Monday workout?

-Speed work on the good ol' treadmill @ 5 a.m.

What is your favorite color to wear? Or what color do you wear most often?

-PURPLE and black in the winter and white and turquoise in the summer.

Do you feel like a bottomless pit when you run a lot?

-It is kind of scaring me.  I think I should not only compete in marathons but also in eating contests....it takes a lot to fill me up when I am running a lot of miles.  No food left behind.

I love birthday weeks! This past year I tried to stretch it out to be a Birthday Month. The husband put a quick end to that. :) During marathon training (like right now), I seriously get concerned that I either 1) have a tapeworm or 2) am pregnant because I can. Not. Stop. Eating! My favorite colors to wear: shades of grays, blues and purples. All year round. Mondays are a recovery day for me, I do some deep water running, core, lower and upper body strength training routine, and some elliptical or cycling. Happy Birthday week!

I am a bottom less pit also!! If I have a HUGE salad after I run it makes me hungrier in the afternoon and so I eat more stuff than I should, even if it is still good stuff.

Purple is my favorite color also! It's a family thing as it is my Mom's and her Mom's favorite color as well! I seem to wear a lot of green and blue in the summer though, and pink!

I heart purple - it takes a real man to wear that color, if you ask me :)

My workout was XT today on the spin bike and ET.

Happy Birthday week, hooray!

Totally a bottomless pit over here... Hubby tries to keep up with me, but it doesn't work as well for him since he rarely exercises. Oops!
I'm gonna try and get some miles in today without hacking up a lung. We'll see. And currently, I'm into pink.
Happy Birthday Week!

Happy Birthday Week! I also love purple :) My shoelaces in my running shoes are purple lock laces, I love 'em! My planned workout in a mile on the tm then an hour spin class and then another mile. It's my old-lady-protect-my-joints-but-still-get-some-endurance-workout. My 3 year old is telling me she feels sick and doesn't want to go to the gym and I am #3 on spin waitlist though, so this is subject to modification. Thanks so so much for commenting on my 5k post, so awesome of you!!

Speaking of bottomless pits, when I was training last year, after a 22 miler, I went to our local Italian festival. They were looking for people to enter an eating contest. I made sure it was spaghetti with no meat in the sauce and couldn't believe my luck. I was all, you mean I get to eat as much of a big bowl of pasta as I want and I don't have to pay for it even if I don't win? And since there were about 10 of us competing, it didn't seem like people were watching me. It was so delicious. I ate, and ate, and ate. And lost the contest, but got a full belly!

I am impressed with the husband picture. And truth be told, if for some odd reason my hubby and I were matching, he would go and change. It makes me sad. So count your blessings :)

My workout today will be after work and it will be a run on the treadmill, followed by some machines. Yay. I can't wait!!

In the winter I wear a lot of black and gray, but usually with a pop of color. In the summer I almost always have blue on because it is my favorite, plus it makes my eyes shine!!

I don't always feel like a bottomless pit after running, it's actually usually the next day that I feel that way!

Bottomless pit - I wish. I'm trying to lose weight, so the running is part of that.

It's my daughter's birthday week too! She'll be 1.

I know I don't need to tell you that since you work out so much that you actually need to consume more calories. The ideal way to find out how much more is by wearing a heart monitor when you work out. Some heart monitors will tell you how many calories you've burned, so you know about how much more you should be eating. And those calories should be coming from things like protein and whole grains, not Swedish Fish...Love you and I'm sorry, but it's true.

Happy Birthday Week!!!!

I wear a lot of black, but love red and purple a lot too.

I upped my miles last week and the amount of food I ate was silly, I was laughing because of how hungry I was and how much food I could consume.

And yes brownies and ice cream are delicious!!!

I am so excited for your birthday week that I promise to eat extra ice cream, m&m's, and cookies every night in your honor!

I am definately a bottomless pit when I train a lot. My monday workout was a swim and maybe some strength training later!

Happy Birthday Monday!! I think for every day this week you should eat candy that either begin with a J (for your name), F (for february) or the day of the week. So today you could eat M & Ms and not feel guilty about it!

Do you get presents throughout the week? We do this in my family. Instead of 1 big gift we get a lot of little gifts :)

My Mom is a marathoner and she can eat anything in her sight when she is training. Right now she is training for her 10th marathon and eats double what my Dad does!! It's hilarious!! Take it in stride and she says to eat lots of high fiber foods!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You and Billy are so cute in your purple.
We had a taco bar for the game yesterday and also a cup cake decorating bar..I wish you lived closer and I would set you up my famous ice cream sandwich bar (I made brownies and chocolate chip cookies and cut them into bar..cut ice cream into bars and then had topping for the sides of the sandwich....made it for my group of girlfriends this past summer)

ANyhow..did a circuit of ellyptical, biking and running at the gym...hope to run 5 or so more miles outside tonight.
I like to wear teals and white when it is summer...aka I am tan. Right now I don't really have a color but i love a cardigan these days..the ones that engulf you.
I like to eat....I need to get better about actually eating more often as I get sidetracked with the boys and forget to eat sometimes...oops

Happy Birthday week!
Monday workout was a three mile run and a Cardio Muscle class. :)

I did a 4 mile run outside during my lunch break. I ran a 5K race yesterday morning so today was supposed to be an easy day, but I think I managed to find the hilly-est route in Ann Arbor. Felt good though. I'd like to be a bottomless pit, but I'm trying to loose a couple lbs for my wedding, so trying to contain myself at least a little. Oh, I think that I wear TEAL a lot... that & pink & red. Happy Birthday Week!!

I love the color purple! Most def my fav color. Also? Your kissy face couple pic is seriously cracking me up, hilarious! :) Happy birthday week to you! And lastly, my workout this morning was 3600 painfully fast yards in the pool. Masters swim is no JOKE and it's kicking my runners BUTT. But I kind of love it.

Happy birthday week! My boyfriend & I have a few matching shirts (from colleges and stuff), and I always make silly jokes when we match. I also make us take way too many pictures. I love wearing a salmon-pink color or a light green!

Happy Birthday!! In your honor, I will bribe my potty reluctant 2 yo to pee in the potty with skittles instead of m+m's ... that's a sure sign that we are BFF, no?

Today's work out started with chaperoning the aquarium field trip. That is exhausting! However, tonight, I will be doing the more traditional workout things, 4 miles on the TM followed by core and upper body resistance work.

Happy kick off of your birthday week!

Happy birthday gorgeous :)

My Monday workout was a weird 'tri' combo of 11.5 mile run, 90 minutes spin, 1000m in the pool.

Colour-wise, I'm all about the black clothes...I just feel 'safer' in them and they fit my dour personality. I was a Goth for a while in my teens and I think my wardrobe is still mostly stuck in that phase of my life.

I am a bottomless pit whether or not I run. It scares the heck out of me, but what can you do? I'm just never going to be one of those people with a bird-like appetite. And you're tiny anyway! No matter how much you eat, you never get any bigger and those muscles need some fuelling. I really wouldn't worry about it you 23-miler treadmill runner, you. And it just shows how amazing you are that I'm no longer surprised when you just knock out 23 miles on the dreadmill like it's nothing!

xxx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK!! When exactly is your bday? I need to know exactly when to bombard your comments/email with birthday love, and when to leave extra long comments telling you how we are best friends and that I am going to enjoy skittles and a (vegan?) fro-yo in your honor:)

Hold the phone, I CAN'T eat all the brownies I want because I run?! Please tell me that's not true!! This bottomless pit NEEDS her brownies!!

I am a bottomless pit after a long run. It's so bad.
I think I ate 75% of the dessert platter at the Superbowl party last night! That's what 18 miles will do to ya. But I enjoyed every bite. :)

Happy Birthday Week! I'm so happy you're a dedicated bday celebrator. I always insist on celebrating all week. Actually, I prefer on celebrating all month but my family/friends don't usually support that... I have no idea why not.

I love that you have a birthday week too! My family is not so sure about the whole "week" aspect but I make sure that they remember...haha. I also feel like I can never eat enough lately. It is terrible but I like knowing I can usually treat myself to "bad" stuff and not feel so awful because...well...I am a runner. seems like perfect logic. also...followed your example today and decided on an extra mile on the treadmill outweighed the time I needed to get ready. it was great. :) have an awesome week!

I constantly tell people that I think I am meant to compete in eating contests!!! I could do ice cream and pizza for sure. Pre-vegan days, I would totally win a hotdog eating contest. I loved those nasty little suckers!

You and I should compete.

And, yes, I always feel like a bottomless pit.

That Jello sounds brilliant! and easy. I'ma make it.

Today was 19.4 miles. holla

I have thought about professional eating contests. I can eat way more than I should admit. OK I'll admit it: I have easily eaten a quart of frozen yogurt. A QUART. and that, my friend, is after a full dinner.
