SHOE GIVEAWAY!!!

New Balance sent me their Minimus Trail shoes and I have instantly become addicted. I am pretty sure you have seen them in many of my pictures in the past few months because I wear them everywhere. I did not receive them in time to do some serious mileage before my injury but I did use them for a few runs and absolutely loved them. What I do know is that I can't wait to go on some sweet trail runs in these babies! I walk all over the place in them (even wear them to work oops), cross-train and weight lift with them on and love every second.

I believe the less shoe the better to help increase speed, lower chances of injuries (now if I didn't try to run a 20 miler on the snow for the first time two days after a 26-miler:), strengthen your feet and get back to the basics of proper running form by running 'almost barefoot':)

The lack of a flash helped my 'never seen the sun' look on this one but I accidentally came down on my leg weird and that is my, wow that hurt really bad face.

Let's be honest and just admit that being 'cute' is one of the reasons we choose what we run in. These are cute, durable and crazy comfortable (Billy, thinks it is weird that I sleep with them on, but I find it quite normal)!

Love the tread at the bottom.

Added bonus- less laundry for my Mom to do (I wish I was kidding) because you don't have to wear socks! I guess I do have to explain myself with this one and tell you she doesn't do my laundry but I do my laundry at her house and sometimes I accidentally leave a load in the dryer while I take a nap and somehow it magically gets folded.

Anyways, my favorite place to run is anywhere with boardwalks. I am obsessed with boardwalks. There is a park about 10 miles from my house (which isn't far, but it seems like a treat to go there because there is nothing around it). Said park has about 2 miles of boardwalk around the park, sadly, not all connected. The longest bit is about .5 miles. I will run it about 5 or 6 times (I haven't been in a while, so I haven't done anything longer there).

My favorite place to run is any CA beach city! Huntington, Long Beach, Dana Point... I don't even live there (I live in AZ) but I make it a point to race a few beach cities per year!

schönbrunn is the park-n-palace combo near my house. i know, that is more than a little bit insane. it is my backyard, and if you go any later than right at dawn, it is swarming with tourists. but before the world wakes up, its the most wonderful spot.

I like the trail shoes in black. My favorite place to run is actually in a beach town that we lived in for awhile in Costa Rica. I'd run up the mountain to a little dairy farm and then it would slope down to the beach and then through the little town and back home. Those were the days!

My favorite place to run in here Virginia Beach. In just a few miles I can run from the Ocean into the state park that has a bunch of different trails. Hard to beat that! :)

I love the gray NB Minimus Trail Shoes (like the ones you are wearing in the pics)! I don't really care for the other color combos, but I like the color and design of the new Minimums Trail Shoes. Their low profile design is pretty sweet and I love the Vibram sole! Cool!

I love running on the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville, SC. I recently moved from there to Baton Rouge, LA and (not that I miss a whole lot about Greenville, but...) I do really miss that trail. It was an old railroad track through the woods that they paved and made a walking/running/cycling trail. Its awesome!

There are some lovely trails by my house, I love to run there. There is also a nice 7 mile loop on the roads that I adore- it goes right by the water so I get a sea breeze and a view of the ocean.

I love running by any body of water. There's this route I run from my husband's parent's house around 3 lakes with canopy oak trees. That's probably my favorite run spot. I want to move to that part of town just so I can hop out the door and run there :)

My favorite place to run... There are some hilly, curvy, quasi-forested neighborhoods in Austin that meander past big expensive houses. It's a nice way to get somewhere quiet in a city. :)
