Janae the Widow.

My go to after school snack is toast with jam and a fried egg.  Weird combo but you are not allowed to say that it is gross until you try it.

Just as I was telling Billy that I had completely perfected the drippy egg..... splat.  I guess it was a little too drippy and ended all over my cargo pants (yes, I know that cargo pants are probably out of style but I don't care because they are so comfortable).   Tupperware lids as a plate is how the classy people eat these days, I saw Kate Middleton doing it the other day in a magazine.

IMG 5814

I was not mad because I made my pants dirty and they will probably permanently smell like eggs but I was really upset that I lost my favorite part of the whole concoction.  So what does an optimist do in such a bad situation, make another and do everything in their power to not let any drippiness escape:)

Somehow, I tore myself from the couch and went and taught spin, here is the latest playlist-

I know I have complained about this 43 times already but Billy is CRAZY busy this semester.  Between a full-time semester at BYU as an Electrical Engineer major and a LSAT class that steals 30 hours a week from our hang out time- I feel like I am a new widower.

Thank goodness Ash has taken over for Billy during this busy time.  Just throwing it out there....anyone that wants to hang out with ashley and I, we are quite free:)  Also, Monday and Wednesday nights work best.....we could go to yoga or for fro-yo or watch Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movies followed by watching Mean Girls while eating spoons of pb dipped into chocolate chips.  You name it, I am there.

I need to stop putting up these pictures, please forgive me for making you covet my bowls of goodness.  Let me just say that the mango in there was the PERFECT ripeness and I considered going back for a second bowl of pure mangoes.

IMG 5815

Dinner after dessert- why not?  I am rebellious and my mom only sets a few rules for me now that I am 25.

Using my chef skills, after school I looked into the fridge and threw everything that looked like it was on its last leg into the crock pot.  Potatoes, celery, carrots and chicken breasts with salsa.

IMG 5813

Billy loved it too and I think that it means that maybe he will skip his next LSAT class to party with me but then he will remember that I am a grandma and would fall asleep by 8 o'clock anyways so it would just be worthless to stay home.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are in a relationship right now who is the busier one?

-Usually I would say we are equally busy but now I feel like a lazy bum compared to all he is doing.  Maybe I should get a part time job but I think instead I will just add a new TV show to be add to the list of addictions.

What is your FAVORITE way to eat eggs?  What do you put on your eggs?

-I LOVE BIlly's FROACHED method but I also just like to fry it up with a barely cooked yolk.   Try the jam combo, okay maybe don't because I want us to still be friends but I do love me 6 tbs of ketchup per egg when I don't eat them with jam.

Any new FAVORITE songs for me to add to my spin/workout playlists?

-My students are getting sick of me asking them what is cool to listen to these days, I need your help.

What is your after school/work snack lately?

Mary Kate and Ashley movies? Heck yes, count me in. I have Holiday in the Sun on dvd...something that Mike loves making fun of me for.

Mike and I are pretty much the same amount of busy, luckily.

I will eat eggs anyway I can. They are delicious no matter what. Though, deviled eggs are phenomenal.

love your play list! :) you could add some of britney spears' new stuff (it has a great beat) or maybe some more lady gaga.

i'm definitely the busier one in my relationship. i'm a chemistry major, president of an on campus club, have been working on a research project, and have been trying to get in my work outs. i'm not sure what to do with myself now that it's summer!

i feel like 'sam i am' when it comes to eggs! i'll eat them in a car, in a bar, in a plane, in a train, & on a yacht when i'm hot.
oddly though, i hate hollandaise (?) sauce...so eggs benedict turns into egg on an english muffin, 86 the canadian bacon as well. and that is my favorite way to eat them. well, it's a tied with "in a bowl of grits with runny yolk". yum!
and i've mastered the art of cooking them in a microwave. (sometimes i need an egg...stat!)

Oh my goodness! I eat egg sandwiches with Jelly, too!!! My husband thought I was a weirdo until I forced him to try it, now he's a convert!!:)

Aww, that sucks that Billy is so busy. Right now I am the busier one because I'm in grad school AND training for a half ironman. My poor husband is very good to me to put up with me being stressed and tired all the time!!

Lately I've been an oatmeal addict, and sometimes in addition to having it for breakfast I make a small serving in the afternoon. It always make me feel nice and full!

My husband is finishing his PhD and will graduate in December. His PhD adviser told my husband to put a picture of himself on the refrigerator so that I won't forget what he looks like since I won't be seeing him very often for the next 8 months. Depressing, but it gives me lots of time to nap!

My hubby is definitely the busier one. The army owns him right now, so his time is rarely his own.

I usually only eat my eggs fried with a super well-cooked yolk, but I've started venturing into other ways of cooking them and I am seriously wanting to try a frittata.

Ugh I hate stains on clothes!! That sucks that you lost your favorite part of your food. I think my spouse and I are both pretty busy... but busy for different reasons. After work I usually go to the gym. That being said, I do have a part-time job as well so work for me is about 50 hours per week, around 55-60 for my spouse but I also workout so I think it evens out pretty much.

I don't eat eggs so I can't really tell you how I like them!

I love sprinting to Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous by Good Charlotte and I love climbing to They Don't Really Care About Us by MJ :) Fire by Raghav and Dog Days are Over by Florence and the Machine are awesome too!

My fave after work snack has to be PB and sliced banana on toast. I don't think I can ever get sick of it!

We are both very busy, but my bf is probably the busier of the 2 because he races 4 nights a week May-September whereas I usually only race 1-2...so he spends every day NOT racing, working on the car. We also live 350 miles apart, so being crazy busy is a good thing :)

Eggs - scrambled on toast with herb and garlic cream cheese and havarti! Yummmm

Oh my, Billy's froached eggs look and sound divine!! I can't wait to try them! I love eggs! I loved scrambled with lots of cheese, I love omelets, hard boiled, and fried! I love eggs really any way! One of my favorites is a sliced hard boiled egg on bread with mayo then a slice of harvarti cheese broiled until the cheese is bubbly! Then to top it off, add tobasco and salt and pepper! Sounds crazy, but so good!

I would say my husband and I are equally busy. He is at work all day while I am a stay at home mom with an 18 month old daughter that is WILD and a puppy in training!

My favorite snack these days is chips or crackers with hummus! Yummy!!

2 - afternoon snack - usually something containing peanut butter and some sort of fruit...

I love dippy eggs, so I will have to try them with jam now. Usually I fry them up and make a ton of toast because I need a bite of toast with every bite of egg.

Spin list.. I wish I could take your class because you keep it loaded with upbeat songs! I'm loving that I see Lil Wayne made an appearance on your list, he's my favorite rapper :) There is nothing I hate more than being at spin class and being told to sprint to something like Dave Matthews band. Lately I've been frying them up in a skillet (egg still half runny), but I really love poached eggs. I think I'm going to try your froached egg today!

After school snack is usually oatmeal if it's cold or a toast/wrap with egg and hotslaw (it's a secret family recipe - amazing - you would love because it is ketchup based). Sometimes I'll just do a ginormous protein shake.

I love anything by Daddy Yankee (it's perfect for Zumba), and lately I'm loving On the Floor by J-Lo.
