Why Cinco De Mayo is my favorite day of the year.

I know you are thinking today is my favorite day of the year because I finally have an excuse to bring pinatas filled with candy to school, eat three churros from Costco in one sitting and fill my heart and soul with guacomole and salsa. There is another reason today is my favorite day (okay, the above mentioned items do play a role in my cinco de mayo obsession).

I married my bestest friend in the whole wide world 2 years ago today and he has never been happier in his whole life:).

I love you because you are always there for me no matter what,

You inspire me to be a better person, to treat others with more love and to serve as much as possible. You are the most OTHER'S FOCUSED person I know!

You deal with my craziness and I think deep down you kind of like it:)

We have so much fun together, you make me laugh harder than I make myself laugh and for completely superficial reasons....you are hot.

Basically, I am obsessed with you Billster. You make me happier than I have ever been times 1 quitrillion.

We are going to have an amazing life together filled with lots of adventures.

Also, really glad about your running/periods post yesterday. As a runner + med student, I was amazed to learn about hypogonadotrophic secondary amenorrhea (fancy medical term for the female athlete's triad of amenorrhea, "disordered eating", and osteoporosis). Had no idea it could cause osteoporosis until then (if you are wondering why, it's basically because you're hypothalamus gets confused and stops secreting the hormone that tells the ovaries to make estrogen, which is needed to maintain bone health). It's definitely a problem that there should be more awareness of.

May 5th is pretty awesome…but the 6th is even better cuz it's my b-day ;-)

Our anniversary is March 1st. We celebrate it by saying 'wooo hooo' and if we're lucky enough to land a sitter for our crazy kids, we might go have dinner or see a movie. We used to celebrate by going to Europe. I don't 'celebrate' but I do honor the anniversary of my dad's death.

OK, so this may not be the most appropriate post on which to ask this =) But after your period post, I have been wondering - what are your thoughts on running when you have cramps bad enough to force you to take ibuprofen? So...you know your body is in pain. But post pain killer you don't feel it. Do you run anyway? Or wait until the pain dies down enough that you don't need the painkillers?

anniversary- stopped celebrating the dating anniversary when we got married 8/18/07. Coming up on 4 years this August!

Coconut water- me likey. some brands, some have been a miss. best when super cold over ice.
