Kissing a polar bear, muddy pants and lasagna noodles.

Our Friday night consisted of our usual clubbing until 3 a.m.

Okay, that is a lie,  I don't remember the last weekend that wasn't revolved around delicious food, little kids and some form of television watching.  Don't be too jealous of our crazy party animal ways.

I was talking to runner friends yesterday and we were discussing how different Friday nights are for runners vs. non-runners.  For a runner the whole night is based around eating the exact perfect food for fueling their run in the early a.m., hydrating like a mad woman, going to bed before the sun does and making sure that all of your long run gear is organized and ready to go.  We are strange people aren't we?   I am not going to lie, I am enjoying staying up way past my 'marathon training' bedtime.

Billster and I drove up to Draper (where my aunt lives) and were served some crazy awesome lasagna, salad with avocado and caesar dressing and a side of pineapple and strawberries.

IMG 5835

After dinner we walked on over to the park and I kissed my aunt's pet polar bear,

IMG 5866

and then we got a picture with almost everyone looking.

IMG 5867

I ended up with mud all over my pants (at least it will mask the smell of the salsa and tuna that I spilled on them earlier).

Little punk children that were playing at the park at the same time we were decided to put mud on the slide as we were going down.

Why I outta........

IMG 5842

Other exciting events of our park extravaganza: Billy ended up bleeding onto the baseball bat (he is not making an obscene gesture at you all, I promise he is just trying to show how hurt he is),

IMG 5856

because the 8 year old's baseball skills were a little advanced for him.  Don't worry, no stitches.....just a Dorra the Explorer Band-Aid.   Pretty sure they decided to bat up on the big toy because it made it easier to hit us with the ball while we were sitting on the bench.

IMG 5848

All night long I begged the littlest one to come cuddle with me.  Each time she responded with a big fat no.

Finally, when her mom said it was bed time she sprinted over and nuzzled her way onto me........she is a smart little girl and knows that I would be able to talk her mom into letting her stay up just a few more minutes for quality snuggle time.

IMG 5873

Um, yeah....those are 3d freckles all over my face, I promise.

While Billy was watching the Laker's game the girls made cheesecake.  Sit down before you read the next sentence.....we didn't eat any.  I know the math doesn't add up, 3 girls that love dessert skipped it and decided to save it for Mother's Day.

I was actually physically TOO tired to eat it.  I would have eaten it if Billy would have spoon fed it to me as I lay down like I begged him to but he thought that was a little too far.  I reminded him that it was our anniversary week, and then he reminded me that I asked him to help me lower my sugar intake and handed me an avocado instead.  Now that is love.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Favorite cheesecake or cheesecake toppings?

-I LOVE Cheesecake Factory snickers cheesecake.  For normal cheesecake please pile my plate 6 inches high with raspberries.

Favorite game or thing to do at the park?

-Water fights are the best.  Also, tag on the big toy when the ground is 'hot lava' so you can't ever step on it....that game is intense.

Are you a big dog person, a little dog person or a no dog person?

-I think I love BOTH so much but if I had to choose....a BIG dog (not a polar bear size but more like a lab size).

Who is racing?  Who is watching races this weekend?

-We are going to watch the Provo City Marathon before I teach spin in the morning!

Big dogs! They are the BEST! I have an English Mastiff, he's 175 lbs and can stretch his head up to my face when I am standing up eating. I'm only 5'2", but that's still tall for a dog! I only wish he could run with me, but that's not his thing :(

any sort of fresh fruit makes cheesecake extra amazing... especially strawberries!

I love all dogs. I have always had a softspot for big dogs, because my first dog weighed about 80ish pounds. But I also adopted an 8 pound min pin back in July, so I guess size really doesn't matter. LOL

Hmm, I love to play football at the park (well at home we didn't really have a park close, but the beach was! so football at the beach, haha)

Oh, and I love big dogs! Unless they are the dogs that look like little teddy bears.

I love how you all it "the big toy" is that a Utah thing or a Jenae thing?
Either way I like it. Almost as much as your neice's flip-flops. Cutie toes.

I like small dogs because they are much less stressful to *ahem* pick up after if you know what I mean.
Big dogs= big offerings.

I used to LOVE playing hot lava! Probably still one of my favorite games to play when I go there with my niece. Good memories! Another favorite is tag, but the person who is it has to stay on the ground and everyone else stays on the equipment... quite challenging, taller kids definitely have an advantage in this game haha!

First of all, I think you should clarify that BIlly was watching a Mavericks game and will probably be watching a Mavericks game tomorrow as they send Kobe off on summer vacation).
I wish I was a dog person because my kids want one so bad. Despite their promises I know it would take them about 1.3 weeks before they got sick of the responsibility.
I ran my second half today. It was awesome and I learned a lot about what I need to do to improve (i.e. calibrate my Garmin FR60 which said I had run 14.46 miles so I don't think I am faster than I am as I train).

I always wanted a big dog... actually two. I had this visual of driving a red Alfa Romeo Spyder with a Newfie and a Pyrenees both sitting in (more like hanging out of) the back. Yes, I was in high school when I had that vision :P

Have a great weekend!

I really like your blog, but I was kind offended by your comment of "telling them they are adopted" to get back at the kids at the playground. My kids are adopted, as is my husband, and I hope that no one ever uses that fact to taunt them, even in jest.
