SHOE GIVEAWAY!!!

New Balance sent me their Minimus Trail shoes and I have instantly become addicted. I am pretty sure you have seen them in many of my pictures in the past few months because I wear them everywhere. I did not receive them in time to do some serious mileage before my injury but I did use them for a few runs and absolutely loved them. What I do know is that I can't wait to go on some sweet trail runs in these babies! I walk all over the place in them (even wear them to work oops), cross-train and weight lift with them on and love every second.

I believe the less shoe the better to help increase speed, lower chances of injuries (now if I didn't try to run a 20 miler on the snow for the first time two days after a 26-miler:), strengthen your feet and get back to the basics of proper running form by running 'almost barefoot':)

The lack of a flash helped my 'never seen the sun' look on this one but I accidentally came down on my leg weird and that is my, wow that hurt really bad face.

Let's be honest and just admit that being 'cute' is one of the reasons we choose what we run in. These are cute, durable and crazy comfortable (Billy, thinks it is weird that I sleep with them on, but I find it quite normal)!

Added bonus- less laundry for my Mom to do (I wish I was kidding) because you don't have to wear socks! I guess I do have to explain myself with this one and tell you she doesn't do my laundry but I do my laundry at her house and sometimes I accidentally leave a load in the dryer while I take a nap and somehow it magically gets folded.

My favorite place to run is in Athens, GA down Milledge Avenue. All the big, Southern sorority and fraternity houses at UGA are on that road, so it's really pretty. Plus, there is lots of traffic so there's motivation not to stop for a walk break! :)

And my favorite place to run is up Ski Hill road. It's a gradual incline all the way up and if I keep running long enough I eventually end up at the gorgeous ski resort. I like the Minimus Life in gray/red and also the Trail in gray. Glad to have a recommendation for a shoe I can weight train in.

My favorite place to run is on a trail that runs a long a dam and the beautiful Norris lake or along the greenways in Knoxville. I also love running along the beach on my annual fall break trip.

my favorite place to run would have to be this one route in my college town: running through the trails of the town Commons, then out on the road, where it's open and there's a farm and sometimes hay, that takes you to the ocean. it's especially nice when sunny, warm and blue skies :)

I doubt the giveaway is international, right? haha I'm in Australia and it'd probably cost a buttload to ship them (even if they ARE super lightweight haha :p).

Buttttt I follow you and I'm gonna answer your questions anyway because I'm bored and a weird internet stalker :) I thinkkkk my faves are probably the black/blue trail ones! They're way cool. Absolutely rock my world.

My favourite place to run (at the moment... i'm prone to changing my mind haha) is around a lake near my work. It's just beautiful and picturesque and peaceful, with a great path that's perfect for pretty much anything (mostly flat, but with some decent hills in parts). Plus I'm a numbers nerd and I like the fact that the course is EXACTLY 7km which makes things super easy when training for a half or full marathon. eg if I want to do run 21kms, just do the loop 3 times! Even my terrible non-mathematical brain can figure THAT out :)

Also? at the very end of the course, it goes past a bunch of lovely lakeside restaurants. I can smell steak and burritos and fries and curries and noodles and waffles and bacon cooking as I finish up, and I always reward myself with a nice meal afterwards.... and no i don't bother showering/changing first hahahah. the waitstaff are getting used to it.
