A peek into our marriage.

In running news: I have been very tempted to crawl up on my treadmill and frollick my little heart out as I stare at my Kara Goucher shrine. I asked Billy what he would do if I was to do such a thing and he said we would tackle me and even dared me to try.  I am afraid for my life.   I guess there won't be any secret treadmill running until I am 100% healed.  I will probably thank him in the long run but for now I think I will just give him the evil eye.

5 examples of why I have to leave the house in order for Billy to get anything done.

"Why won't you let me run on the treadmill? I promise I will stop as soon as it hurts. Are you even listening?"

IMG 5975

"Hey honey, I was driving by Wal-mart today and they had free puppies.  Let's start our family now by getting a brand new puppy that we can love and squeeze and cuddle with all day long."

IMG 5981

"Why won't you hang out with me.  I promise it will be more fun than homework.  We can door bell ditch our neighbors, make cookies and see who can fit the most skittles in their mouth at once."

IMG 5978

"Billy, why don't you like it when I put the camera on self-timer to take 5 continuous shots.  I am making a different pose for each one....at least put some effort into it."

IMG 5979

"I want chocolate so bad right now it physically hurts.  Hurry and do something about it, those logic games aren't going anywhere."

IMG 5980

"Fine.  I guess the fact that I have not ran in 43 days has caused me to have unusual amounts of energy and in turn I am trying to tempt you out of being an adult and doing homework.  All I have to say is school's for fool's."

I made bloggers and my sister meet me at Pizza Factory so that I could get a little energy out before bedtime (yes, the same method you mothers out there use when you take the kids to the park after dinner so that the hoodlums end up exhausted and they fall asleep on the car ride home).

Hey Sissy, my salad could eat your salad for an appetizer.  Go big or go home.

What was the longest that you have gone without running/working out since you started?

-Um, 43 days 23 hours and 19 minutes without running.  It hurts. I need help.  I have way too much free time on my hands.

What is your favorite season?

-Well, we were having Spring for a few days but Utah went all bi-polar on us again and it is back to rainy and coldness.

What do you usually do when you hangout with your friends?

-Eat, fro-yo eating competitions, yoga, gym class or eat.  I want to go see a chick flick asap....who wants to come?!?!

I LOVE summer. I would rather be sweating in the heat than shivering any day. I can't wait to be home in that Georgia sun this summer, it is going to be great!

I really need to move to Utah so I can go to all these awesome meetups and hangouts!

you guys are so awesome that you get to hang out all the time! I'm jealous!

I don't know what the longest I've gone without running is. Maybe a week?

My favorite season is fall, when you're coming down off of the swealtering summer and you can't wait for cold (because you forgot what cold is).

When I hang out with friends, we usually get coffee or hang out at one of our houses.

Bahahah your marriage sounds creepily like my relationship with my boyfriend...

The longest I've gone without running is 2 months during the summer after high school, and it was glorious. I was burnt out and decided to only get back to running when I really missed it. Totally worth the break!

When I hang out with friends, we always grab dinner or coffee, or sometimes go out for movies.

Your pictures with Billy are too cute!

The longest I've been without running was 83 days. Stupid stress fractures.

I love summer. I love summer so much that after college I moved to Florida for 2 years so I could have summer all year.

When I'm with my friends we do stuff like go to restaurants, go on walks, go to the beach, and watch movies.

i am constantly injuring myself running, so i don't get to run for long. i have chronic shin splints (but only in my left leg) as well as knee problems. they're probably related somehow.

i'd have to vote for fall. i love the leaves changing, and i love knowing that the holidays are close :)

Ha ha! Thanks for the laughs! Loved the self timer shots!!!

Longest time without running. Precisely May 27th to August 28th. Torture. First month was terrible and then I settled into reality a bit (I also gained a fair amount of weight and watched a lot of trash TV)

Favorite season-summer of course! The lake, waterskiing, bonfires.....Ahhhh-can't wait!

Friends-either hang out at the gym or the "Brickhouse" restaurant in which we have a SPECIFIC table that we glare at people if they sit in it (kinda like the specific pew I have in church and if someone sits in it, I somehow can't listen to the sermon because God only speaks to people in the second pew-ha!)

OK-I'm behind. Off to check out the giveaway! Have a great day:)

I went 76 days (not that I, uh, counted) without running when I had my stress fracture. There were many, many gallons of ice cream and bags of pretzels consumed...and also many, many laps swam. :)

Looks like a ton of fun at the pizza place!!!

Since I truly started running the longest I've gone was 10 days and it was for a neck injury I got running (who does that!).

I love summer, it is definitely my favorite season. I won't rush spring though.

When I hang out with my friends we talk, watch movies, go out to eat, go shopping, just whatever!!!

The longest I have gone without doing anything was 3 weeks because of my knee. I wanted to poke my own eyes out! My favorite weather to run in is the fall. Fall in New England is beautiful. Today that movie Blue Valentine comes out on Demand. Totally a chick flick. I will be watching it.

When I was working full time and going to grad school at night full time, I would come home exhausted and try to do my homework - but my boyfriend, who lives with me, was "taking a break" from work to sail around the country or something like that, but when he was home, he would wait all day for me to come home, and have so much energy built up that he resembled your blog post for this morning...I was Billy he was you - but somehow, it is ten times more comical to see it now, rather than when I was heads down in my books.

I tore both my ACLs, at very different times in life, but the second one was senior year of high school and I had to sit for months, not knowing if I would be able to play in college (my goal/dream) - it was excruciating - I am a high energy nut, and injury recovery is not...

I love spring - because it means no more winter for a good 6 or 7 months!! (Boston at least) and I hate the cold and snow, and running in the cold and snow....

When I hang out with friends...we run, we go for drinks, or we cook dinner and chill at home...not too outrageous

What a fun get together! So wish I could have been there! Give all my Utah County BFF's a hug for me next time!
I'm bad like that to my husband too. I'm always trying to get him to ignore his work and do something fun with me. I loved your analogy of taking the kids to the park to wear them out. I've so done that on multiple occasions!
The longest I went without running (after I discovered that I liked it!) was a year and a half. I had IT band problems really really bad and then I got pregnant. Coming back to it was so sweet! And scary. I still remembered the pain and didn't want it to come back!
My favorite season is fall. I get sick of the heat and love it when the evenings and mornings start to be cool again but the days are still warm. Spring is so unpredictable or it would be my favorite!

Also I had cookies for breakfast and it reminded me of you!

I ran the St. George marathon in October, qualified for Boston, and didn't run again until the middle of February. It would have been depressing to count the days, but I just know it was way tooooooo long. The good news is that I learned a lot about what my body can handle and other than little nagging issues, have not had an injury since that kept me from running. I even ran the morning of my last surgery - but did take the next day off.

My friends are very different, so what I do with them varies. Some friends and I have doggie play dates, which usually ends up with the dogs laying around and the humans playing. With other friends we do crafty things. Like making jewlery or up-cycling clothes.

i have to go four weeks without running this summer for some Army training and I'm dreading it!

You & Billy are so cute--but I agree, school is definitely for fools ;-)

Oh I love the pics of you and Billy! So funny!
I haven't run since January!!!!! Going Nuts, but will be for the best! Can't wait for the day to come so i can run again!

Favorite season?? Oh I love them all here in Utah, but there is someting about summer that wins my vote.. Maybe its running, biking, boating, gardening and swimming that does it!

When I get together with my girls we usually go out to eat, shop, or do something crafty!

Have a great day!

I went about a year without running in college when I was having some bad ankle pain problems and couldn't figure out what was wrong. It was horrible:(.

My favorite season is fall! Spring is second:).

We usually do something that involves eating...dinner, dessert (we used to ALWAYS go to melting pot, just for dessert!), ice cream, etc:). Oh, we also get together just to run/swim/etc. I love friends that are willing to work out and eat with me!!:)

I thought I liked spring...until my allergies started going crazy and the humidity started doing bad things to my hair. I forgot about those "fun" perks...

Love the self timer pics - hilarious! The longest I've gone without running is about 6 weeks when I got runner's knee. It wasn't pleasant for anyone, least of all my husband. Fingers crossed for you to be running soon - no secret treadmill though! The combo of obsession with vegetables and cheapness is what makes us alike and why I love you and your blog.

I love your his & hers macbooks. My husband and I have them too (and I'm secretly hoping to find a similar toy one for our baby)

That reminds me of how my boyfriend acts when I'm bothering him while he does work!

As per usual, LOVE the giant salad...those peas on top look great.

Ha! I understand pestering the man all too well! I told my husband yesterday that I was going to start soliciting the answers to math problems when I was trying to get his attention. Case in point:

"Jason. If you're listening to me what's 13+7?"
"Yeah."
