Breaking the Rules and a GIVEAWAY!!

First of all, Billy got a hair cut. It looks real good. It makes me real happy to see. That is all.

Second of all, we were rebellious. We threw all of our rules of not eating out during the week into the wind and ventured over to our favorite hole in the wall taco shop. I mean I did run 30 minutes and that should equal at least a lard tortilla, mounds of cheese, sour cream, rice and beans right?!?!

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and get a shrimp taco and a veggie burrito. It is a must to smother the whole thing in more salsa than you thought a human could consume.

You know the food is going to be good when it is served on a styrofoam plate.

Guess who gets another 30 minutes of running tomorrow. This girl. Watch out Kara.......you might not win Boston this year, better luck next time.

Time for a giveaway. The amazing Mod Bod sent me some AWESOME SHIRTS. I am not exagerating when I say I REALLY love these shirts for working out and also to wear on dates to make my husband think I am extra hot.

I am clearly learning a lot of boxing skills after watching this season of Biggest Loser.

Another awesome thing, they wash REALLY WELL. You know I get a sweatastic workout in these things and after washing them a dozen times they still look and feel brand new.

I LOVE layering them under clothes!!! Even my students thought they were awesome, that is how you know they are cool.

I know, I know I should try out for America's Next Top Model because of my original poses and wow, I am good at looking off into the distance. Quite artistic if you ask me.

- that I got the go ahead from my PT to run 4 miles today. Although I think I heard her say 6...so hard to not run. I know you feel the pain too!
- that it is finally turning into spring weather here in good old Vermont. This winter was way too long and way too much snow. Made for slippery training. Although, i think my core is stronger from trying to balance and not fall on the ice while running all winter! BONUS!
- that I have a race this weekend and for the first time ever I am not running for time. My friend who has lost over 120lbs this past year is running it and she skipped 5ks, and 10ks and is making a 1/2 marathon her first race. I am going to run with her and pace her. Hopefully my PT lets me....

I'm lucky to be able to work part-time and stay home the rest of the time raising my daughter. We get to go to the gym every day ( a plus for me and for her since she gets to play in the Kidzone while i work out). I have a great family support system. I'm healthy. We have two great dogs. I have amazing friends who support and love me well. Life is good.

I love my life b/c since I started running I have the clarity to put everything in perspective.
I have 2 amazing babies a hardworking, supportive husband, and the ability to put one foot in front of the other and feel truly alive.
I love running I love it in a way that makes it sooooo much more than just "running" I thank God daily for the ability to run. It has given me perspective, confidence, a sense of accomplishment, and so much more. I have an amazing life and I am grateful to be able to recognize it.
