4 Minutes and Buffets.

Once again we bribed the children with food in order for them to be good during our Physical Therapy appointment on Friday and once again it worked.

Photo 2

After our first sugar coma of the night we went back to our house to crash on the couch while watching 'Despicable Me.'

IMG 5054

Our energy was renewed and since the treadmill has been lonely lately we decided to see how fast my niece could go.  She got up to 11 mph for a few seconds.  Don't go calling child services, Billy was holding his hands right behind her in case she fell.   We are starting her young with barefoot running.

IMG 5056

And the other one (that refuses to take off her sun hat) wanted to tiger tail her stomach......too many sit-ups.  By the way that is the computer where the blogging magic happens.  I spend a lot of quality time with that thing.  Yep, Lindsay that is your blog open, check out her AMAZING giveaway:)

IMG 5059

The clock struck 9 p.m. and we decided that meant we should eat dinner.  Thanks for taking us out Sissy and bro-in-law to the Pizza Pie Buffet.

IMG 5060

Please take a moment to admire my salad making talents and also my pizza selections.  More toppings than I can name but just focus on the jalepenos for a second, do this now.

IMG 5067

There had to be dessert pizza too. Just imagine oreo, cookie dough and peach cobbler toppings on warm doughy bread with frosting drizzled over them and close your eyes and you will be in heaven.

IMG 5064

Group shot.  Thanks a lot Claybourne for looking so serious in the picture......no more pixie sticks from your favorite Aunt Janae again.

IMG 5068

Time to get my 2 hour (PT's advice) killer bike ride on with...........4 minutes of running afterwards @ 6.0, don't be too jealous of my run, someday you too will be able to run for 240 seconds.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you like buffets?

-Yep, I am not ashamed of my love for them.

Chocolate, vanilla or swirled ice cream?

-VANILLA.

What is your Saturday workout?!?! I want to live through your long runs mkay?!?!

Aw. No long run. I'm going to try for 3.4 today. I took a week off of running after a couple of weeks of uninspired running, and I'm feeling the sorrow of running little miles :(

No workout for me today, resting before tomorrow's half. I'm thinking of dragging Mike and Bungee on a hike though.

I can't remember the last time I went to a buffet! Though, I did follow your lead and make homemade pizza last night (tomato, pesto, and mozz.)!

I did a short tempo-paced 5K this morning but I will get in a nice 7-miler in tomorrow for you :)

And might I just add that the dessert pizza is making me drool. Oreos on a pizza? Genius.

Usually I go for vanilla, but nothing beats a Malt Shoppe swirl cone!

Saturday is my rest day, but tomorrow I'll be attempting a long run.. but I may crash and burn on mile 6 or less. This whole being sick thing really isn't suiting me well.

I love me some chocolate ice cream! Buffets are my best friend, especially salad bars - luckily we have many buffets in NYC. If you ever come here, you'll be in heaven.

Congrats on running for 4 min. It is a small victory and you'll be doing long mileage in no time :-). I'm off to run about 12 miles in Central Park. First semi-long run since the marathon. WIsh me luck!

Alright 4 minutes of running! When I had to take a break due to injury my first run was about 30 seconds during a walk to test it out and it was maybe the best 30 seconds of my life.
The sun is out here so I'm going to actually attempt a run outside inside of living on the treadmill.
Dessert pizza is delicious. I'm jealous!

Hey, running is running ,and those 4 minutes will be AWESOME!! Have fun on the bike- although if I were spinning for two hours straight I think my butt would fall off, considering how sore a 45 minute class makes me!!

My run today consisted of a 12 minute warm up, 3x10 minutes at 8 minutes a mile, with 3 minutes EZ in between, and a 14 minute cool down. AWESOME since I got to watch a show about Food Trucks that made me crave pancakes which obviously made me work harder on the 'mill. Half marathon next weekend, here I come!!!

I did my first 10 miler. I'm kind of excited to have joined the double digits club!

I love buffets, but they cause me to eat way too much!

Some days vanilla, some days swirled. Rita's had orange and vanilla swirled for a while last summer and it was to die for!

Your nieces are SO STINKING CUTE! I want to squeeze them. I love buffets - especially at weddings! I want to go on a cruise with you and our Billys so we can eat from buffets all day long.

Swirl is the way to go. I'm taking it easy today between a wedding shower luncheon and an engagement party dinner. I don't want to have to wash my hair again. Priorities. ;)

I haven't been to a buffet in years - now I really want to go! Though I would probably eat way too much and need tummy time - my eyes are way bigger than my stomach and I am a clean plate clubber.

I like vanilla better - with either one of those cherry dips, or with rainbow sprinkles. (They can't do both, I've asked).

I worked out today by going biking at a velodrome. I got invited to go have a lesson with this coach who trains all the pros. Then I crashed into one of the pros and we both went down in a heap and the coach was not too happy :(

Minimalist movement in full affect with your niece on your TM! So, 4 min of running really? I couldn't tell if that was sarcasm or not. :(

In college, I could make the best 2 foot tall, VANILLA soft serve cones!! And, with Vanilla you can have any possible topping.

I opted for the TM today to do my 15 miles as the +20 mph winds weren't so inviting :P bleh. April fools eastern WA weather!

-I love buffets when I feel I have been healthy enough to gorge until I can't move! GO TO THIS SITE. It's the best buffet on the East Coast. (Seriously, amish food = BEST) www.shady-maple.com/smorgasbord The best is breakfast. Make your own pancakes with SO many toppings. My personal fave... choc chip, pb chip, and banana pancakes. <3 Nom nom. There's also cheese stuffed sausage. Don't knock it 'till you try it. ;P

-Cake batter? haha. Probably chocolate!

-I had a nice long 10.5 mile run. :( Don't weep from everyone's comments! You'll be running soon enough, lady! The farthest I've gone so far is 11 miles. I'm so scared for the 13.1... I don't think I'm going to make it. Ugh.

Your nieces and nephews are adorable!!

I love buffets, but as a binge eater, I try to avoid them. Nothing good happens when I eat at one! That being said, I should really be a competitive eater- the amount of food I am able to eat in a short amount of time is actually pretty impressive, not going to lie.

And I ran 11 miles today :D Felt great! Go you on the 6 minute run! That's awesome you got the go ahead, so happy for you!! You'll be back to your ridiculous mileage in no time. ;)
