Tripple Tangent Tuesday.

Workout:

I woke up at the crack of dawn to get a good workout in this morning (I may be loosing some of my running strength but I REFUSE to loose my cardiovascular endurance, that takes FOREVER to build up).

1 hour swimming

1 hour cycling

30 minutes elliptical.

Still no running this week.......maybe towards the end of next week:)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time for your FAVORITE part about Tuesday.  Don't deny that you look forward all day on Tuesday to the time that I share with you three random and strange things about me.

1. I live out of my car.  At all times I have gym shoes and clothes in my car just in case I have time to fit in an extra workout sometime throughout the day.  Pretty much half of my house is in my car.  One time Billy and I decided to go to a movie while we were out doing errands and hadn't had dinner yet.......lucky for us, I always have at least 3 days worth of food in the car at all times, you can read about it HERE.  Good thing I don't have any friends to drive around with because the passenger seat is always full.

Photo 7

2. Somedays you may feel bad for Billy because I always ruin pictures of us by making a creepy face, I am here today to tell you that I am not the only one that does this......it takes two to tango.    That is Billy's bro in the seat behind him, it must run in the family.

IMG 0144

3. On my 23rd birthday I chose to have Rice Krispy treats for dessert.  Yes, they are good but I still regret that decision to this day....how did I choose cereal mixed with marshmallows over dense cake and 3 inches of RICH FROSTING!?!?!  Please forgive me frosting gods, I will never choose something over you again.  And cousin Erin in the background, don't you ever text during my birthday song again.  You know it is a big deal to me:)

IMG 0263

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Is your car messy or clean?

-I try and try to keep it clean but sometimes it just has to turn into my closet in order to go from place to place throughout the day.  Plus, I can't go 14 minutes of driving without eating something, that would be a crime. PS Billy found my secret candy stash in the center console of my car.....any ideas of a new home for my candy?

2.  What time is the earliest you have ever woken up for something?  What was it?

-I woke up at 3:30 for the Utah Valley Marathon.

TELL ME SOME TANGENTS ABOUT YOU!!!!

I love your gym bag!!!

I have to get up at 4:30 am on the weekdays because of my husband's Physical Training for the Air Force. I stinks... A lot ;)

I've woken up pretty early for flights (3am) but then I get to sleep on the plane so it's all good!

Why can't you put frosting on the rice crispy treats? Best of both worlds! I would totally do that ;)

I dont own a car :( Living in Chi-city you don't need one! Not sure what the earliest time I've woken up is.. but I get up at 5 am 3 days a week and for me that is SO early

My car is generally pretty clean. It gets worse during the week because I'll have my gym shoes, running shoes, towel to protect my seat from sweat from working out, a couple jackets or sweatshirts, backpack, gym bag, and rain boots for the kennel at my school. During the weekend, Fifi (my car) gets emptied out and she loves it!

I think the earliest I've woken up for something was a 12 AM-4 AM shift to feed a newborn foal its bottled milk. That sucked and I was exhausted all day, since I had to get up for work at 5 AM!

At March 29, 2011 at 4:10 PM , Blogger Pam said...

I used to have to be at work at 1:00 am, so I got up at 11:30 pm. Does that count as early or is that late? lol Then when I was in another position I had to be at work at 6:00 and it was 1hr 15min away, so I got up at 4:00 every morning.

My car is dirty, but there's not a lot of stuff in it. Gotta leave room for the dogs!

LOL... love that pic on the roller coaster!

My car is a mess... I joke about how we could live for a week off the cheerios and pretzels that are on the floor. But I have 4 kids ;-)

Actually gone to sleep and then woken up... 4:30 for a 30K race about 90 minutes away. But I have just stayed up all night so as to not oversleep for things... like airplanes that leave way too early in the morning.

A tangent for you... my 2-year old can COUNT! Unfortunately, I know that it is not because I am a great parent :P (I think I learned that after the second kid!)

My car has been clean lately - yey!!! - but it's normally full of clothes (riding, yoga, running) and the associated shoes/gear for all of those. And water bottles like crazy.

Earliest I've woken up is around 3:30 for a 6am flight. Yuck yuck yuck.

At March 29, 2011 at 4:16 PM , Blogger Allyssa said...

My car is mostly clean. Clutter makes me nervous and I don't like having to walk out to my car from the house to get something. Then my kids follow me out and I have to wrangle them both back into the house.

I recently woke up at 2:30am for a Disney race. Ridiculous. Disney runs start way to early for my taste. Never again.

I love your tangent posts! My car is fairly clean, but the trunk has a yoga mat, rollerblades, a yoga towel, tennis rackets, extra running shoes, etc. And I always have something to eat in my purse/bag. Billy is like my child and sneaks into my bag looking for snacks, so I try to remember to have enough for him, too.

My car is CLEAN! Boyfriend reformed me - I used to live out of my trunk. I even bring my empty starbucks cups inside with me now. :(

I used to get up at 4am for horseshows. I HATED that.

My car is a little bit messy. But it's not too bad. I think the earliest I've ever woken up for something is probably around 3 am when we had to drive down to South Carolina.

Let's see something random about me: I literally wake up 20 minutes before I leave for school. I try to wake up earlier but no dice.

At March 29, 2011 at 4:35 PM , Anonymous Kerri said...

My car is unfortunately messy. I grew up having a SPOTLESS car, but as I get older and work crazy hours I live out of my car. It is now my goal to clean it out by Friday!

The earliest I have ever gotten up is 2:00 am for work. I did it every Monday for about three months and it nearly killed me!

My car is clean...minus the trunk! I have an extra sweatshirt and sneakers....and....my giant suitcase. It just doesn't fit in my closet so that's the easiest, out of the way place for it haha :)

The earliest I woke up was somewhere between 3 and 4 for a flight. Talk about zombie mode!

Rice crispy treats? What the heck were you thinking girl?! Ha ha...I'd still regret that decision to this day if I were you, too. That is hilarious.

Tangent: When I laugh really hard I start hyperventilating. Like bad. Like I'm sucking air and making oinking noises.

At March 29, 2011 at 4:43 PM , OpenID fitchocoholic said...

I always carry snacks around in my pocket or purse.....just in case! :D
Tangents:
1. My cat hates me for no apparent reason. My sister bothers him and he goes and bites me! This is why I want a dog! :D

2. I like to wake up early and get a lot of school done and workout, but then I'm bored the entire rest of the day because I've already finished everything!

3. I'm always losing stuff or randomly finding things in odd places. For example, I once found a prepared bowl of grits in the microwave, and I always find some money in my pockets!

Hope you had an awesome Tuesday! :D

My dad used to wake my sister and I up at all sorts of middle of the night hours to see things like Hailey's comet, eclipses, meteor showers etc.

My hubby has woken me up at 4am for his adventure races.

I have a candy stash under the bed my hubby found.......shoot.

My suggestion is put the candy in a sunglass case and put that in your console, or glove compartment.

Rice Krispie treats are heavenly. Heavenly. Don't ever regret that decision. I can eat the whole batch in one sitting. Sweet marshmallowy goodness. Who dreamed up your recipe?

Ahaha. Those faces are priceless.
My car is... cleanish? The OUTSIDE is now clean since I got a carwash today :) Sparklin. The inside could use a good vaccuum and such but there isn't a whole lot of junky stuff going on. I used to make it my job to keep my backseat as messy as possible though, I actually had a collection of empty energy drinks that I refused to take out. Just because I thought it was funny to build the pile. I no longer drink energy drinks so the pile is long gone. I almost miss it. New dirty garbage collection suggestions?

I don't think I've ever woken up earlier than maaaybe 4:30 for anything. It was probably for a flight visiting the grandparents.

Most of my car is clean...at least the parts you can see when you ride in it. It's the truck that holds all sorts of stuff I don't use. Roller blades? What was I thinking?

I've been up at 3 or 4 for races and for dog shows (yup, I used to show my dog).

Random Tangent - I eat the cake first and save the icing for last because it's the best part. Or, I just get a GIANT slice of cake and eat only the icing until I fall into a sugar coma :)

My car is very clean. I don't like having a messy car. That doesn't mean that I don't have stuff in there but it's organized.

I wish my car would stay clean, but somehow I never follow through. I travel all day for work to go see clients, so I have to take car seats with me in case they have kids, my paperwork, food, books, water bottles, ugh its so embarrassing when a client jumps in my car. They probably think I'm a slob. Awww well.

My car is a joke. No lie. I used to use it instead of a locker in HS. I keep all kinds of crap in there, especially working three different part-time jobs, I'm always out of my house. You're not alone in living out of the car :)

Also, I think the frosting gods would forgive you if you frosted a rice krispie treat. I loooove putting PB and chocolate on top! So good :)

OH dear--Billy's face in that picture is HIGH-larious!!

OHHHHHH--your rice crispy treat comment just reminded me that I used to have a recipe for chocolate-covered rice crispy treats. I MUST FIND THAT RECIPE AGAIN. It makes them 8,000 million times better (still not better than cake, though). My siblings "invented" a new cake for my birthday this March: chocolate cake on the bottom, chocolate icing in the middle, funfetti cake on top, and vanilla icing with funfetti sprinkles on top! Sooooo good. I may have eaten half of it in one day. Maybe.

My car is pretty messy:/ People make fun of me but then when they need a sweatshirt and WA-LAH I have five in my car, then who is making fun of who???

At March 29, 2011 at 7:00 PM , Blogger Erin @ UntilYouTri said...

Okay I said I needed to find the recipe but as soon as I posted that comment I realized that I think all you do is melt chocolate chips and then pour the chocolate over the rice crispies when they're still in the pan and then cut them as normal. Oh dear I am going to have to make these ASAP now!:) *droool*

My earliest ever was 2:30am for the Ironman Rhode Island 70.3. It started at 6 instead of the usual 7 and it was point to point so the swim and bike start were 56 miles away. The shuttle bus left at 4 and I had to meet a friend in the lobby at 3:30 to walk there. It was obscene!

My car is a horrible mess a lot of the time, and I usually have EVERYTHING in tehre that I could possibly need and if I were snowed into it I'd probably be able to live for a few days ;) haha. :)

1. i am anal, can't stand clutter, but do let things like dust and crumbs go (for the most part). so, my car looks like nobody is ever in it (and that's with two kiddos!).

2. all of my super-early mornings have been because of plane travel. i think we've gotten up around 3:30 for a few flights and to drive from Missouri to Maryland. we made it from Kansas City to western Maryland in one day (with two said kiddos in tow). it was...not a great idea.

i love that picture of you guys on the roller coaster. not so much because of the goofy faces on the guys, but because you look so calm and composed with your lovely smile--HA!! that's usually the part of the ride where i start to cry uncontrollably. i don't do roller coasters...

and, whatever is on that plate behind the rice krispy treats looks GOOD. you could've stuck a candle in that!

I live out of my car too! Always have gym clothes, Zumba clothes, Zumba skirts (I sell these), snacks, water bottles, etc. One time we were driving somewhere and I realized I had a hair dryer in my car (no doubt it fell out of a gym bag). I really do TRY to keep it clean ha!

I get up at 5 on weekdays to workout or train before going to work. Some days I have to get up at 4:30 or 4:45 if we have an early morning meeting. I love to hunt, so during the winter I'm always getting up before 4 to get into the woods before the deer wake up. :) I have been known to sleep in my deer stand.

Tangents:
1. I have decided that for the next 8 weeks (until school is out) I will be recording ALL my food (I usually do this about half the time) and sticking to my 1300 calories per day.

2. Top Chef and Chopped are two of my favorite TV shows.

3. I could eat sushi every single day - I love it!!!

I bet you could cover Rice Krispies treats with frosting and it would be delicious!

My car is a disaster zone. I kind of live out of it, I've never vacuumed the interior (I've had it for almost 4 years), and I only clean stuff out of it when I'm near a dumpster and waiting for someone. Last week I threw out a pair of men's size 11 shoes I found in the backseat. My husband is a size 13, so I'm stumped.
