Jelly Bean Head and The First BBQ of 1,000's This Year.

While we were driving to my parents house last night for dinner I wanted to see what Billy would look like with a jelly bean for a head.
IMG 4997
The picture doesn't do it justice.  Next time you have a starburst jelly bean hold it really close to your eye and look at people in a way that the jelly bean covers their head.  This is the cure all for a bad mood.....instantly you will start laughing and realize that life is awesome but it could be even more awesome if some people really did have jelly beans for heads.  They would not be safe around me and I would probably end up in prison and then there would be no more blogging:(  (PS keep in mind I do not drink or do mind is normally really strange).
Dinner was green beans, a roll the size of my foot (that is big considering I wear a size 10) and a bbq chicken breast with jello in the background.  Dad-good job on cooking the chicken on the grill, perfection.
IMG 5006
Mer (doesn't everyone call their grandma Mer?) and I were more than ready to dig in.  At least someone will join in with me for a weird pose and chant, 'we want food.'
IMG 5010
Side mom puts a towel on my chair whenever I eat on the 'fancy' chair at their house.  Hmmmm I guess I have a history of spilling things.
IMG 5001
I taught her to use that pouty lip anytime she wants something.
Somehow she went from really sad to really happy when we whipped out dessert.
IMG 5019
IMG 5016
We also had a skype date with my bro, his wife and their cute baby.  I like to do the 'walking downstairs' trick whenever I skype, it always fools people that I really am going down stairs while talking to them (great way to win friends....walk by the monitor and make it look like you are walking down stairs as you go by by just bending your knees more and more so it looks like you are going down stairs).
IMG 5015
We ended the night by watching 'Chopped' as a family.  We are recreating a Chopped episode at the next family dinner where we are all competing against each other.  (You are given three random ingredients in which you much incorporate into a meal.)  Get very excited.  I better not get chopped.
Hope you have an AMAZING Monday.  Enjoy every second of it and remember you only have one Monday March 28th 2011.......take advantage of it:)
What do you call your Grandma?-Mer and she is AWESOME.
What is your favorite Easter candy....tis the season?
-Starburst jelly beans and cadburry mini eggs.
How are you going to take advantage of Monday?
-Go to one of my favorite 6 a.m. spin classes, eat more jelly beans, try to make my students laugh at least 10 times and make Billy cuddle with me.
Have you ever seen Chopped on the Food Network?
-We are hooked!

I love Billy's outfit in the first picture! And your Grandma is so cute! I don't have any living grandparents so I have just adopted Jordan's. His family is plain and just calls them "grandma and grandpa." Maybe they will like it if I come up with new names for them? :) I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

I love Chopped! We did 'Iron Chef Seattle' last Christmas between my fiance and my sister's husband. It was so much fun (especially because I wasn't involved in the cooking and just got to eat everything!).

I was seriously LOL-ing at the jellybean head story :D You are too funny!

1. Po-Po. It's an asian thang ;)
2. Chocolate eggs. No real preference
3. Go swimming and study for my history essay test!

I hope your Monday goes really well :D

Your Grandma is adorable!

The Mini Cadburry eggs are like crack! The Easter candy exposure is like double the length is normally is and it has been quite bad for my skinny jeans.

When I was growing up, I called my grandma "Meee-ma" because I couldn't say the whole thing. Sometimes I still call her that just for fun.

BY FAR my favorite Easter candy is Starburst jelly beans and Reese's peanut butter eggs! LOVE Easter candy!

I miss my grannies now! They both live way too far away from me :(
Yesterday the hubby and I bought a way-too-huge bag of mini eggs. We also seriously devised a plan to purchase 12+ bags to ration out for the rest of the year. Serious business.

I am definitely trying the jelly bean trick. I like the disclaimer that you aren't altered by drugs. :)

I call my grandma grandma. Original, I know.

This post was awesome. I laughed at least three times. Out loud. At work. I now look like the crazy girl...then again, people already think that.

So I have seen you post before about how you like SPK's and now that I see you like jellybeans you may be interested in knowing that they make Sour Patch Kids jelly beans now. 1stly they are amazing, like a little party in your mouth. 2ndly I must warn you that it is difficult to stop eating them. 3rdly I ate a whole bag of them in a 24 hour period.

I will take advantage of today by exploring the gym in my new building!

Love the picture of Mer- that is cute! I would always call my grandmas "grandma", but when I was pregnant with my first my mom was having a hard time with the grandma thing, so she said she had to come up with a different name, so to this day my kids still call her GG (for gorgeous grandma).
Cadbury mini eggs are my favorite!
Today I am going to try to blog, and I have to go to town to get a chip fixed on my windshield and tires rotated- but I would rather stay home :)
Love every show on Food Network!

Don't have a grandma anymore. Sigh.

I love those eggs (Cadbury?) with the candy shell. I have them beside my bead and suck off the candy shell and let the chocolate melt in my mouth. It really is a talent and fine art to be able to do this while watching the Real Housewives or Bethenny Ever After.

At March 28, 2011 at 8:25 AM , Blogger Coy Martinez said...

I call my grandma, well...grandma. I refer to her as my grandmother. I can't take the word "granny". Reminds me of the Beverly Hillbillies.

Favorite Easter treat...hmmm, Cadbury Eggs. Whatever they put inside can't be good for me BUT it tastes pretty darn deliscious.

The Jelly bean matched the tie. HAHAHAHA~

Have a great week!

I call my grandmother "Babcie," because she is Polish and that means "grandma" in Polish.

I am not a huge candy fan. On the sweet side, I'd rather have ice cream! But generally I prefer my treats to be savory.

I am so exhausted after getting up at 5:30am (Monday morning flights are brutal). I still want to get to the gym tonight though - we'll see!

I watched Chopped when it first started, and I didn't love it - I prefer Top Chef because you get more invested in each of the people. That said, I'd LOVE to participate in a competition - how fun!

I have never heard of Chopped but I think that I need to watch it because I LOVE to cook.

Can we please hang out soon? Fro-yo date this week with the girls?

Your grandmother is adorable. I call both of my grandmothers "Grandma ___ (last name)".

Favorite Easter candy? A toss up between those Whopper eggs and the crispy shelled eggs with the smooth chocolate in the middle? I think Cadbury makes them & they come in a purple bag, but I'm drawing a blank on the name.

I've never seen Chopped, but I did watch Jersey Shore for the first time this weekend. Stupidly funny. ;-)

I'm going to the gym at lunch for a run today. I need to get my energy back after a crazy weekend. Hope your day is also excellent. :-)

Okay, I love this post for several reasons:

1. Your humor (ie jelly beans as head) jives with mine. I don't drink nor do drugs, and I would think this as well. Hilarious.

2. I want that grilled chicken STAT.

3. Walking down the stairs?!?! Um, hello! I had no one else thought that was fun to play! I also do the elevator!

My respect for you just went to a whole new level. I request a video of you doing this!
