WOW!!! I was blown away by all of the amazing comments on the Self-Worth post......If you are feeling alone in this struggle or looking for some great ways to improve the way you view yourself PLEASE read the comments.  I am learning so much from all of you amazing woman!!!


Spin was still a good time even when I am a complete gimp and can't use any tension or come up out of the saddle.  Loud music, other crazy obsessed fitness peeps, sweat and speed sing to my heart and I was able to get in a few good ol' endorphins floating around my blood stream.

Right after spin we met up with my running bestie, Maryann and she took us out on a date to TERRA MIA......yes, once I find a place that I love I go back a trillion times.  This place is good plus ginormous tree's smack dab in the middle of the restaurant are cool.

I really took my time getting dressed up, showering and primping my hair....sorry time we go out I promise I will at least make an attempt at hygiene.  Thanks again gorgeous girl!!


You would think I wouldn't be as hungry when I am not running but I am just telling myself that all of these muscle repairs take A LOT of calories:)  Don't mind if I do eat like a 14 year old growing boy.


Maryann and I split the Smoked Salmon Pasta and a glorious pizza with artichoke, tomatoes, mushrooms and eggplants.  Seriously, heaven.  I love their crusts because thin crusts allow more toppings without getting stuffed too fast:)


Billy's calzone.  I may have snuck a bite or 12.....ricotta, salami and marinera.  I could live off of this stuff.


How is it already THURSDAY!?!?! Did this week fly by or what!  Teaching a spin class this morning and then working on those ABS, BICEPS, DELTOIDS and TRICEPS!!!  LOVE YOU ALL!!!


Do you sneak bites from your husband/wife/gf/bf/friends/families plates?  Do they mind?

-Every meal.  I just HAVE to try what they are having too.  He doesn't care (at least I don't think he does) until I accidently flinged his knife onto him spilling sauce everywhere.  Sorry, honey....forgive me

Do you listen to songs while you are working out that you would never listen to just driving around or sitting at home?

-YES.....Lately I have been listening to country or just super chill music when I am not working out!

Thin crust or Deep Dish?

-For just a cheese pizza: deep dish.  Anything with lotts of toppings: thin crust.

Favorite muscle to work when lifting? 'em.

I have to listen to music when i work out! Lately when I'm just chillin at home or work I've been listening to the christina perri pandora station. Makes me happy. :)

Love thick crust/deep dish on pizza... the more dough, the mo' better! ;)

I love working out my quads, i feel like my legs are the strongest part on my bod. But I'm always so sore after! Lol.

Fyi... i hurt from your spin class x 2. Isolations kill me. And hill climbs. And sprints. And pretty much the whole class. lol.

Can't wait for our yogurtland date again! :) we are addicted!

Haha I listen to music that I think is kind of embarrassingw hen i work out... aka justin bieber and trashy pop songs because they're damn catchy and have a good beat ;)

but let's be hoenst sometimes I listen to them when I'm not working out too... ;)

I steal bites of my husband's food all the time! Also, when I order/eat things that are not great for me, a lot of the time I just eat some of it and then push the rest off on him, hehe;).

When I work out I am all about the upbeat pop music (my latest kick is the Black Eyed Peas radio station on Pandora streaming on my iPhone while I work out). But in the car/at home I like more mellow stuff, too!

I usually don't sneak bites from mike's plate because when we're home we eat the same thing and when we're out he orders meat. I do, however, steal any and every dessert he has. I chased him around the house trying to get girl scout cookies from him the other day. And at weddings I always eat his cake before he even knows it arrived.

I love any kind of pizza, except New Haven style (it's super thin crust and a burnt bottom, it's terrible).

I wish I liked lifting more. My legs are nuts from all of the running, but my arms are like noodles, sad little noodles.

Just last night my husband and I had popcorn while watching TV. I made him put it in two separate bowls because I always feel like we are fighting to get more popcorn. Well I polished off my bowl in no time. He went into the other room to take a phone call and I quickly stole two handfuls from his bowl...

So yes I guess I do take bites, he just doesn't know it ;)

a) I do not taste things off other people's plates. I don't know why, but I don't do it. And I don't really like people eating off my plate either. No idea why.

b) Thin crust is my favorite. St. Louis style pizza is like a thin flaky/crackery crust- nothing compares :)

c) My running playlist is embarrassing. Gangster rap, cheesy pop, even a little Broadway.

I want that creamy pasta and pizza like crazy!!!! I am DEF going to an italian place for dinner saturday night to get my carbs in for my half on sunday!! yay love having that excuse :) I have been praying for your leg to heal up and I know you'll still be amazing and back better than ever!!! Have fun teaching spin! I'm so excited for my favorite spin class this afternoon. I always sneak bites, but we're okay with sharing food. We always order a couple of sushi rolls (or a big sushi boat) to share when we go out for sushi.
My workout music is so different than regular music. At home, I listen to more chill music like Dave Matthews, but my running playlists are filled with pop & rap.

When Chris has food I can try, I always sneak bites. I always say "But honey, I am just tasting for poison bc I want you to be safe!" Good thing he thinks I'm funny!

I put the Dropkick Murphys "I'm shippin up to Boston" on my running playlist to get me pumped for the Shamrock Marathon. But I cant listen to it when I am not running (so LOUD!). The rest of my playlist is bootyshaking pop, dirty south rap, and techno dance music! Weird combo but it works!

I am a chronic bite stealer. Usually before they've even tried it. Last night my boyfriend left his blue cheese bacon burger unattended before starting to eat can guess what happened.

Deep dish. Preferably with stuffed crust. More cheese on/in a pizza is always a win.

I never steal bites from the hubby because he doesn't share food- remember the Friends episode when Joey freaks because his date just orders a salad but then eats his fries, "Joey doesn't share food!!" I always am saying, "Aron doesn't share food!" but now he will share with our little girl- he's such a sucker :)

I always have to have a bite of whatever my husband is eating - ice cream, hamburger, soda. It's funny that I expect him to share because I don't share with him.

This weekend, we're going to Chicago so there might be some deep dish in my future. Day-to-day, though, I prefer hand-tossed.

I listen to very different music when I workout - some hip hop and pop music that I would never listen to otherwise.
The best crust in the world is at Durkin's pizza. It's not deep dish and not thin but perfection. You'll just have to make a trip to Texas to try it.
I love working my triceps. I have a fear of flabby underarms from teachers writing on the chalkboard and ladies leading music at church.

Yummy, that food looks delicious and Maryann is great. I tried so hard to keep up with her in the 10K last weekend but just couldn't do it.

I love thin crusted pizza with 1,000+calories worth of toppings on top. :)

I'm in desperate need of some new songs - so I really enjoy the playlists - thanks! Also, I'd be happy to take any other suggestions, too. I have a 22 miler on Sunday - it's my longest run and I'm running solo. Yikes.

The pizza looks absolutely delicious. If I don't have pizza at least one/week I go crazy. I love pizza, especially with olives, artichokes and mushrooms!!

I annoy the heck out of my husband with repeating a song. I literally listened to a song for 4 hours straight while cooking, cleaning and chilling out one Saturday a few months ago. Lucky for the hubby, he wasn't home. Maybe it's more like lucky for me because I'm sure he would have killed me if he had to hear one song for 4 hours.

Once in a while I will steal a bite from hubby's plate. If he orders something I wanted but didn't get myself, I have to have some of it.

All my music is for everything! I can listen to all types of music while doing anything: working, cleaning, driving, chilling out.

Thin crust or Deep Dish? Hmmmmmm they are both good but will say Deep Dish because I had a great one while in Chicago last fall.

I read your self worth post but didn't comment...just wanted to say that I really really enjoy reading your blog. You're so likable, relatable and flipping funny. I don't shower often either :)

I always eat my fiance's food...just one bite I say :) I like to listen to pop or more upbeat music when I work out, but at home I listen to indie folk/rock. My fav workout song currently is Rill Rill by the Sleigh Bells. I love thin crust AND I agree with the delts are my favorite. I love racerback shirts so I got to make sure my shoulders look good!

I ALWAYS try what the Hubster's eating...sometimes he doesn't mind (like when he offers)...other times he glares at me (like when i just help myself!). I bet it annoys him...mainly because i know it annoys me when people do it to my plate (i'm a fat kid and yes i planned on eating every last bite so BACK OFF!).

I've sort of become obsessed with Pandora lately. I listen to the top radio hits...hip of it!

I listen to poppy/dancy stuff when running that I wouldn't listen to normally. I'm a hard rock kinda girl for the most part (there are definite exceptions), but when I run I blast Kanye and Britney.

I don't know that I have a favorite muscle group to lift. I enjoy lifting all muscle groups the same--I don't play favorites!! ;)

Because of your last Terra Mia post, I actually tried it for the first time Monday. I tried the Mahi Mahi Penne. YUMMMM. However, I failed to notice the giant tree. How does that happen??

I always sneak a bite of Husband's food. But he never wants mine...I'm not sure what that means.

I love both types of pizza crust. But, I'm pickier when it comes to thin crust. It just can't be too crunchy.

1. Oh my goodness, that pizza looks sooo good! Well, the salmon pasta does too, but I looove artichokes and mushrooms on pretty much everything. Thin crust = delicious too. Yum.

2. I LOVE the Format! They are probably my all-time favorite band. So glad you enjoy them too :)

3. I am definitely guilty of eating from my husband's plate. One is just never enough for me, and it also always seems like whatever he orders at restaurants is always better than mine haha. I think sometimes he doesn't like it but he must be getting used to it because sometimes he will offer me bites before I ask!

That's a really good idea to order two dishes and go halfsies. I'm going to try that next time I go somewhere new. I also steal bites off of my husband's plate regularly and I always have to resist the urge to ask my friends for bites. People get freaked out by that kind of thing, apparently.

I was saying yesterday how it's weird for me to hear one of my running songs when I'm driving or something. The beat makes me feel like my feet need to be moving at the same pace!!
