It Is Amazing........

How much you can get done when 1/12 of your day isn't spent running.

1-You get to meet your mom after school at Costco and she may or may not enable your produce addiction and fiber overload by restocking your goods.  Oh and with all this free time gelato is mandatory to enjoy together as you talk about her UPCOMING BDAY!!! (It is my lovely mama's bday week....feel free to wish her happy bday week in the comments).

(Hey Billy, would you mind photoshopping the acne out of this picture and also if you could take out some of the greasy bangs and replace them with clean ones that would be great, k thanks)

2-Hang out with your best friend since you were five years old's beautiful daughters.  Okay, technically she was my older sister's best friend but I followed them everywhere they went.  They were my idols....I dressed like them, talked like them and thought I was their same age even though I am 7 years younger.  Maybe that is why I am so mature for my age;)

3-You can have plenty of time to use delicious veggies a la madre to stir fry them (in water and olive oil) and take your time eating 435 grams of fiber along with some egg whites, a gogurt, banana and an apple.

4-Catch up on your latest running magazines while icing your quads in your hot polka dot pajama pants.

5-Last but not least, you will have time to obey your mother's orders by eating the cupcake she gave you because coconut frosting is necessary for leg healing.

Check out my guest post at the cutest HEALTHY CHOCOHOIC'S blog!!! You will LOVE her blog!

Did you try to be just like your older siblings? Or were you the older sibling that was idolized by your younger siblings?

-I am the youngest and I am pretty sure I copied EVERYTHING that my older sister did.  Including not liking peanut butter until I actually tried it and realized my sister was very wrong in hating the best thing ever created.  Shame on her.

Do you like Gelato? What is your favorite flavor of gelato?

-I love cookies and creme gelato!

Favorite magazine lately?!?!

-Running Times RULES.....thanks PAM:)

If you had to choose between Apple's or Banana's for the rest of your life....WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

-Apples.....nothing like crunching into a Pink Lady brand apple.

Glad you are resting up! I would prb choose bananas my calves need the potassium. Magazines? DEf running ones. I do have an older sister and yes when I was a kid tried to be like her. Didn't we all?

Have a great day Janae!!

I wish we had Costco... it looks so much fun!

I am an only child, so never had anybody to try to be like!

Favorite magazine is Food Network Magazine, good stuff.

Apples or bananas? I love apples but they give me belly aches when I run. (too much fiber) So if it's before a run, I love bananas, but if it's at night after a run, apples are my fav because they are delicious with peanut butter.

At March 16, 2011 at 7:45 AM , Blogger trisha*n said...

definitely apples. I average about 3 a day. No joke. Feel free to apologize to my wallet.

I'm the oldest, only by 19 months. In elementary school my sis and I were tight, but come middle/high school we wanted nothing to do with each other! But in college we grew up and became very close.

I'd have to choose banana since they are a vital part of my smoothies. And how could I give up PB&banana sandwiches?!

Happy Birthday HRG Momma!!!!!

R.I.C.E where the C = cupcakes. That's great!

I love gelato. There is a place by my house that serves Strawberry Mascarpone (basically like strawberry cheesecake). It is a-maze-ing!

I would definately chose bananas over apples. I eat a banana every day.

I always wanted to be just like my older sister. I thought she and her friends were the most awesome people in the world! I still think my sister is! I love honey crisp apples! They are just delicious! Good thing for yummy cupcakes to help you feel better!!!

I am the oldest in my fam, but I idolized my older cousin just like she was my sister.

I love all gelato!

I would definitely choose bananas. I eat a lot of both, but without bananas there would be no banana bread and no banana bread is like no, I'm a loser.

I didn't really idolize my sister or her friends. I think we're too similar as it is, so it'd be a little narsasistic. It's funny, though, at my wedding my brother was dancing with my childhood best friend and he said, "I've been dreaming about this my whole life!" Apparently no one knew he had a giant crush on her. Cracks me up.

I want time off to go buy veggies in bulk with my mom!

LOVE gelatto - favorite flavors are coconut and pistachio. And I really want that coconut cupcake you had!! :)

I have a subscription to Runner's World and love that. Haven't read Running Times, but I'll check it out!

I eat at least one banana and one apple a day - so that's a tough choice! As a stand alone snack, I'd pick apples, but to have in things (like cereal, smoothies and sandwiches) I love bananas!

My brother is 3 years younger than me which was PERFECT growing up. We never had the same friends but were close enough that could hang out with each others friends when they were around. I even met my boyfriend through my brother (almost 1 year ago!!!!!).

Health and Runners World are my 2 faves right now!!

I'd probably choose apples but I dooo love bananas!!

Haha- YES I did the same thing with my oldest sister- she is 10 years older than me & was pretty much my idol! I would try to be JUST like her. & When I wouldn't listen to my parents, they would just tell her to tell me to do whatever they wanted me to do & I would do it! Haha! What a rotten little kid I was ;)

I am the oldest, its not a bad place to be, but I will say I got the hardest and strictest from my parents, the babies have NO idea how easy they had it!

Apples All.the.way. Pink Ladies are the absolute best, couldn't agree with you more- honeycrisp gives them a run for their money, sooo crispy, I LOVE IT!

Happy Birthday week for mom!!! :D I love birthday's. This is my dad's birthday week right now. His birthday was yesterday. I hate my acne! I was always told once you grow up it goes away, but it hasn't!! Lies!

I'm pretty sure I would choose apples because they taste sooo good in peanut butter!

Janae can I just say how incredibly gorgeous you are?!? I mean, seriously.

Hmm... I wish I could say I tried to be like my older brother, but I guess I didn't. I am the oldest girl in the family, so I do feel like my younger siblings look up to me.

When I lived in Australia I ate gelato MAYBE 3 or 4 times a week. Seriously. Can't get enough of that stuff. My favorite was hazelnut mixed with chocolate.

Haven't read a magazine in a while... I gotta get on that.

Sorry, no competition between the apple and banana in my book. Apple wins... every day.

I'm in the middle, I have an older brother and sister and then 3 younger sisters. I loved following my older sibs, especially my brother. Plus as I got older his friends became cuter ;)

My favorite gelato is simple vanilla bean. If you have really good gelato it is amazing.

I adore pink lady apples!! Especially with almond nut butter sometimes :)

Happy Birthday Janae's Mom :)

I recently discovered Running times in my chiro's office and LOVE it! So much more solid and helpful running articles for taking my running to a new level. runner's world is great too but just seems to recycle a lot of the same topics and not a ton for the more elite side to running....not that I'm an elite runner ha! but I enjoy the material in there.
