Marriage Advice.

When your husband asks what is for dinner suggest going to his favorite burger joint using your b-day visa gift card.

IMG_0473.JPG

He will think you are being completely selfless because you never want to go there.

Do not let him know that you suggested going to In-N-Out because you were really craving french fries and copious amounts of ketchup.

He will love you forever.  Even if you embarrass him by pretending your veggie burger is a mouth that is talking to him with a British accent.

IMG_4148.jpg

Earlier in the day I did have my recommended amount of veggies for the next few days in a non fried form.

IMG_4142.JPG

The table next to us doubted that I would be able to tackle this.  They underestimated my fiber consumption talent.   That is a 12 inch plate and probably 6 inches high along with breadsticks.  Heaven.  I am very talented at fitting on the maximum amount of salad onto those plates....got to get my money's worth.

Megan and I decided we will be putting in a salad bar that replicates Pizza Factory's in our future homes.  Can you imagine having a beautifully stocked salad bar at your hands every day?

IMG_4145.JPG

After many hours of being productive and catching up on Modern Family and The Office followed by eating french fries and burgers we went over to the CUTEST Kayla and Trent's house.

This is when the party started. I am telling you, things got a little crazy with our mugs of water and Jenga playing.

IMG_4163.jpg

Kayla and Trent: Thank you for letting Billy and I win.  You were trying to lose right:)

IMG_4158.JPG

This game actually really stresses me out, I refuse to knock that tower over.

IMG_4160.JPG

I am writing this post way past my bedtime and I am not even sure what I am writing anymore so I think it is time to curl into bed.

P.S. My SHINS are sore......does anyone else get sore shins from doing downhill training?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are your FAVORITE salad bar toppings?

-I LOVE cottage cheese, grapes, edamame, peas, banana peppers, broccoli and gold fish crackers.

Are you competitive when it comes to board games?

-It causes problems in my relationships.  I don't know if my sister will ever get over the Scrabble Incident of 2007.

What is your Weekend Night Bedtime?

-AHHHH it is 12:08 a.m.... just call me a party machine.

HA that pic of you with the hamburger mouth is pure GENIUS!! Love it:)

I've always been SO competitive at board games! It's heriditary- my brother used to cry when he lost. I still do.

Btw, I used to get shin pains for that by the way, and my physio dude said I was overstriding going down, and I needed to take smaller steps. Dunno if that helps at all!

Have a great weekend your GORGEOUS girlie!!

And I am thinking of doing SF half marathon the second part. They offer 2 and the marathon there pretty cool.

Weekend bedtime: 11 maybe including reading!!!
Unless Keith Urban is playing in town then I go really crazy!

Basically, I came by to share this youtube video with you - it's the 2009 Versus Underdog commercial, and I am watching it repeatedly before I head out on my 20 miler.

It gives me goosebumps - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LccxeBMLibY

Hmmm... when am I NOT craving french fries and ketchup? Or really I should say ketchup. Because that's pretty much my main food group :)

I'm quietly competitive when it comes to board games. I'll be really tense and stealth but if someone confronts me (aka, the brothers think they're better than the sisters) it gets ugly. Really, really fast...

A salad bar in my home?! That would be ah-mazing*.

(*Unless it's like the one I happened across at the $5 buffet in Pascagoula, Mississippi, at which I believe they didn't really understand that because it was iceberg lettuce it did not need to be frozen. Also, as my husband wisely said later on: "Don't go to a $5 buffet expecting a $10 buffet." So true.)

Slash you and Billy are hilar, I cannot wait to meet my future husband who better be as hilarious and the Billster and play Jenga with me! Bee tee dubs I am a beasty at games, we would be the dynamic duo if we were on a team!

And yessss my shins are so sore from my run with the padre yesterday!! Too many down hills in the wind, it was up my nose sideways basically:(

I HEART IN-N-OUT!! i definitely don't get a veggie burger though...but, they don't have them here in the midwest, so it's a huge treat when we actually get to go to one.

a salad bar in our house? yes, please! how fun would that be?! can't say i've ever had goldfish on my salad...pretty sure my kiddos would think that was a good idea!! : ) my salad bar faves are garbanzo beans, celery, red grapes, walnuts and crumbled feta--yum--with homemade greek dressing.

i'm not all that competitive with the board games. maybe that's why i don't feel that compelled to race...(this may be an "a-ha moment" for me)

this blogging thing has got me up till all hours of the night...

I am completely competitive when it comes to board games. It actually may be unhealthy. If someone wants to quit before the game is over, I practically tie them down and put a sock in their mouth. The game must finish and I must win :)

My favvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvorite thing in the world to put on salads is blue cheese. I love it and all of it's moldiness! Yummm. Also, I really like broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes <3, and red onions :)

I've always been the worst at board games. I'm competitive, so this is a bad combination. Now, I just avoid them. Lol

My bedtime on weekends is about 12, I guess. My roommate is a noisy one, though. So I tend to not get much sleep. Plus, I'm a grandma and would rather not be hungover the next morning for my run so I don't really go out. Eh. It has its ups and downs.

PS. to your PS. I used to get shin splints when I ran around my house because there was one really steep downhill. I think downhills cause shin splints and I believe I read an article about it on runner's world, perhaps? But ever since, I always run on an incline or try to avoid steep downhills!

Downhill training is terrible for causing shin splints: I suffer from them a lot because I live on a fell so a lot of my training involves hill work ~ in fact there isn't anywhere flat for me to run! I can only recommend a LOT of icing.

What are your FAVORITE salad bar toppings?

Definitely avocado. Not guac, just plain old avo.

Are you competitive when it comes to board games?

Yes. I will stomp and cry when I am losing ;) I particularly hate it when it's an 'intelligent' game because I feel like a dumbass when I lose to my Dad.

What is your Weekend Night Bedtime?

Midnight. But I don't really sleep...more stare at the ceiling!

I am not competitive in the least when it comes to board games. Except during "Clue" or "Scene It". I am ridiculously good at "Scene It".

When I was in CA I loved In-N-Out Burger, I visited about 4 years ago and I am literally wearing one of their t-shirts right, not even joking! I'm a vegetarian now though so is their veggie burger just lettuce and stuff?
