My dream.

Workout:

11 fun miles on the treadmill while watching The Bachelor 1% incline 7:40 average pace.  One of my favorite features on the treadmill is that there is NO time limit.  At the gym you have to restart it every 60 minutes and it used to drive me insane.  The other awesome thing.....we put it in its own separate room. Billy and my downstairs neighbor can't hear the treadmill or me playing the Bachelor and Kei$ha full blast on the speakers and I get to decorate the heck out of it with running gear, pictures and the inspiration board that I am working on!

Billy made my recovery drink this morning and I took it to go.  By the time I got to school I had a chocolate milk mustache and didn't realize it until one of my students said something.  Awkward.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Besides qualifying for the Olympics for the marathon:) I have another big dream that has to do with another major passion in my life.

Delicious Food.

Right now, I am putting the man through school because he is a rockstar and I don't like thinking about him having to work while he goes to school.  I think 16 credits of Electrical Engineering= 60+ hour work week. Plus, I make bank as a teacher in Utah.  I actually really enjoy teaching and I forget they pay me some days.....playing dodgeball and students bringing me candy=very happy Janae.

As soon as Billy Bob is making mula being a lawyer I am going back to school.

Yep, I am going back to study Nuclear Physics because I am very sophisticated like that.

DSC_3200.JPG

Okay, that's a lie.  I barely passed my physics general education class at byu that I took as a senior but was meant for freshmen.

I want to go to Culinary Arts School.  Get up in the morning and go for a run, talk/learn about food all day and then go home and hang out with my best friend. Yep, that sounds amazing.

The End 26.jpg

Then I will have some chicklets and start my own little restaurant or bakery.

IMG_0538.JPG

Will you come eat at my future restaurant?  There will be more desserts than you have ever seen but don't worry there will also be ridiculous amounts of fresh vegetables, delicious cheeses and amazing salads/pasta's and pizza's on my menu.  Don't even get me started on the breakfast menu, I will go on all day about it!

So there you have it.  I think it is so important to be happy and enjoy where you are in life right this moment but I LOVE TO DREAM BIG and think about all of the possibilities that await me:)

Well best of luck to you and your culinary dreams. I went to culinary school and it was the so extremely difficult, but really enjoyable and amazing at the same time. It takes over your life and when you work out you smell like the food you've been cooking all day. But there is no greater skill in life then knowing how to cook an amazing meal, well in my oppinion at least.

I absolutely LOVE to bake. Cooking is fun, too; however, I'm DEF a baker at heart.

Besides running, whenever I get stressed all I want to do is bake, bake, bake! It stinks going to college because I don't have my mom to mootch flour, sugar, eggs, etc. so I don't really have the moola to bake all I want.

I considered starting my own little "bakery"... AKA, me demanding the people in my classes to buy my baked goods I made because of stress. But I don't believe it would work to my benefit :(.

I keep looking for baking classes in my area but it never works out.

My dream job would be a baker with my own bakery... Except, I enjoy eating the dough instead of the final product so I hope my body becomes immune to salmonella. hahaha.

I loved my job as a nurse, but def. feel like it prepared me for THIS job, ha ha! My running dream is to run a sub 30 min. 5k, kind of sad. And to do my 1st half in less than 2:30.

My dreams are similar to yours, miss.

I hope to someday be a mother and coffee shop owner. Or, a fitness instructor. Or, an author. Maybe all of the above.

I enjoy cooking because I like eating what I make, and I like serving others through food. I like baking because

1) I get to lick the bowl
2) I get to eat one fresh out of the oven
3) I get to eat 3 immediately after that
4) I get extreme pleasure from a sugar coma.

My dream job would be a stay at home wife and mom and a freelance writer or author.

The clip of next week at Shawntels reminded of Ali's season, where she ended up booting Kirk on the home-town dates, because his dad had creepy dead animals in the basement.

My dream is to be the best middle school history teacher EVER, travel a lot, and continue to run marathons and try an Ironman!

I LOVE to cook! My mom cooked but not much variety and not too interesting so I am sort of the opposite from her in that respect. It seems that every recipe I make or ones I make up myself taste awesome, and I've got mad baking skills as well. I would love to go to Culinary school, but don't think I really need to

I love to cook/bake, and I'd also love to do something food-related in the future. Right now I'm studying journalism as an undergrad, but depending on what happens in the next few years, I maybe want to become a registered dietician/nutritionist or go to culinary school! Maybe even open up a bakery/cafe of my own!

Good luck to your dreams, I'd definitely visit your future establishment :)

You are such a good wife! I've been there - sort of - and know how hard it can be. It's all worth it in the end.

I've always wanted to own a bakery. Coming up with fun cupcake flavors and flavor combinations is like nirvana for me. I'd also like to go to back school for dietetics and do obesity counseling. You know that whole make a difference thing.

I would love to open a bakery! It would be amazing! I would make cakes and pies and pastries! I would also prolly gain like 50 pounds but it would be fun!

I want to go to Culinary Arts school too!! I always say that if I could just run and cook/bake all day then I'd be happy! I used to hate cooking, it would stress me out, but something changed a year or two ago and now I'm obsessed with cooking and find it to be such a stress reliever!

I would definitely come to your restaurant, I love seeing all the pics of what you eat and it makes me want to eat more colorful foods!

Hey girly! I love love to bake! Remember me? I decorate cakes & teach cake decorating part time. My sweet tooth is bigger than my head! Thank goodness I run or we would have a problem! I would love to bake & run all day, but this darn day job gets in the way.
I just started a cake blog! No running blog yet...

I would so come to your restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner! My dream job would be to own a bakery & do cakes all day. And try not to eat them.

I'd love to see how you could incorporate swedish fish and gummy bears into dishes like chicken divan. I'm sure they teach you stuff like that!

Seriously... you'd make an awesome cook!

My dream job is to be a vet. One of these days when I strike it rich and can tell the post office to take my job and shove it I'm gonna go back to school for that.

I would definitely come to your restaurant, especially if swedish fish were on the desert menu ;)

I love baking, it's rewarding to see other people enjoy what you created.

Dream job & Dreams: To have a family one day, to race a Late Model & Modified car at least once, and to work within the racing industry!

My total dream would be to open a doggie rescue. Buuuuttt that's probably not going to happen. So, find a job where I don't want to cry on a daily basis and become a mommy. We will see :)

My dream is similar to yours. When I see an opportunity/think of a really great idea for exactly the kind of restaurant or bakery I want to open, I'm doing it! I really want to have a job that is completely my own "project".

I think people who are really into running are really motivated by effort that delivers tangible rewards, which is totally what owning your own business would offer. Annnd I definitely see kids on my horizon too.

P.S. I love your blog, you really inspire me!! I posted a link to your blog the other day on mine, hope you don't mind.

I would DEFINITELY come to eat at your restaurant or bakery! :)
My dream job is to be the best Mom in the world! & I really would LOVE to teach high school one day too (NO lie!). I think you are the one person that could understand why I would like that so much- other people are like whatttt?!?!? High schoolers?! Are you serious?! But I love them! I was a student teacher while I was in college & looked forward to teaching every day! The good news is that my dream can still come true :)

Ummmm we are twins! I wanted to go to culinary school, but my parents said NO WAY, so I went to Duke. (I guess Duke was a good backup.) I love baking and decorating, so I actually made my sister's wedding cake + 250 cupcakes in four flavors with swirly frosting and hundreds of miniature shortbread heart-shaped cookies. Yeah. I love it. I support your decision. :-)

It's funny that you mention the dream job thing, because my fiance and I just had a discussion about that last night after I had yet another job rejection. I don't have an exact position in mind, but I just want to help people, somehow. I've thought about going back to school for something health/fitness related, but I just can't justify that expense right now.
Cooking/baking has been my release right now while I"m not working. I can't explain it, but working in the kitchen makes me feel better and productive and happy. :) I don't think I have the talent to pursue it as a career, but it's a fantastic hobby. :)
If I was ever in Utah, I'd definitely eat at your restaurant.

The Olympics? That is crazy fast. You have to run a sub 2:30 to make the Olympic Marathon team. That would be pretty sweet!

1. I want to be more like you in how you love exercise and so peppy! :) i LOVE your blog, Janae.
2. I want to go to school on a full ride, with no worries about undergrad tuition (we have to save up for....)
3. Medical school! Even though I would love to not study calculus or physics for the rest of my life, I love the thought of my hands healing people. I want to be able to go to Appalachia and help others, taking no pay and etc :D
My dreams are big, but I have a big spirit so I know I can do this :D

That is so very cool that you have that as a dream. (I have no doubts that you'll make it to the Olympics!) I'm actually pretty jealous that you know what your dream is. I'm still trying to figure out what I should be when I grow up. Any suggestions?

Our big dream is to get land, start a farm and CSA and have a few more kids of our own and also be foster parents to inner city kids that will come live out on the farm. :)

Janae!!! Oh my gosh, when you told me I am living your dream, I had no idea that you were thinking about Culinary school!!! I am so excited to begin in 2 weeks... you can read my blog to follow me through the whole thing! Except my situation will be slightly different since I have Celiac Disease and have to be careful about what I am putting in my mouth. Is it sick that I am totally excited to begin classes partly because I will have access to the campus fitness center (which is loaded with treadmills)?? Jeeze, I am a nut!

DO IT DO IT!! You will be an awesome baker!!! I can see the Skittles Cupcakes now!
