Noodles and Red Velvet

Sounds like a great combo right??  Currently my belly is full of those two things and it is quite content.

I promise I will start making something other than heads of broccoli.  Okay, that was a lie.  Broccoli goes good with every meal.

I pan fried 2 chicken breasts in olive oil. steamed zucchini, broc, tomatoes and carrots and cooked some spaghetti noodles that I stole from my mom's pantry.  Threw on some spices somewhere during the process and called it a meal.

I always bring my laptop in the kitchen and watch Friends while I cook.  It's my idea of a good time.

I think I just fell asleep for a second.  It is probably my bedtime.

Went with the girls to go get some ice cream.  I got red velvet, chocolate chips, graham cracker and strawberries?? Who does that.... I looked over at the seven year old at the table next to us and he had the same combo.  Will my taste buds ever grow up, it's hard to tell.

We took a picture together but the lady that took it for us didn't know we wanted a picture of our faces and took one of a girl running in front of her and the other from our necks down. Awesome.  Another drunk BYU student.  JK.  Here in Provo we get our highs from frozen yogurt and laser tag.

What is the most random topping combo you have ever had on your ice cream?

Don't forget to send me a picture of your favorite snack....check out the post below for details. I already have gotten some wicked snack pics...get excited for what is about to go down.

Okay I <3 broccoli - I would eat it every day if the husband wouldn't avoid me at all costs when I eat it. :)

I totally had an incredible snack last night and didn't take a picture because well, it was dark.. and it didn't look good!

"called it a meal" sounds like my kind of cooking. i'm known to throw open my fridge/cupboards and go digging around to find something to throw together and call a meal.

i've watched the friends dvd's (i own all 10 seasons) through and through. i think i watched it from beginning to end twice over the summer...either running on the treadmill, soaking in an ice bath, or cooking/cleaning in the kitchen.

"Broccoli goes good with every meal." Um. Fact. Someone please edit wikipedia to include this knowledge. About broccoli.

Also, I'm PSYCHED about this snackski photo, uh, thing you're doing. I know exactly what I want to do, too. So look out. Deliciousness will be emailed your way.

First off, broccoli is amazing and is a meal unto itself. Second... EVERYTHING goes well with ice cream. Except maybe broccoli. (I'd probably still try it though.)

I like to get cake batter ice cream with chunks of cake, bananas, and gummy bears mixed in. OMGGGGG so goooood....
I also like banana ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels, caramel nougat chunk thingeys and whipped cream.
This is why I am glad that the nearest ice cream shop is 40 minutes away!

My favorite ice cream is: vanilla with gummy bears. Yes, I'm 5.

Also, I was wondering if you'd be so kind, if you get a chance, to give us a sample grocery list of yours for a week. I try to make lists at home but then I feel like I always stray from it or can't think of good dinners to make. I also so your blog on the preparation. I need to get better at that too. Any tips?

Broccoli is rad, and can be eaten solo, true story. I can eat some roasted cauliflower and broccoli like it's my J O B.

I always add heaps of fruit to my froyo, like it's gonna be healthy, then pour caramel syrup all over it.

I too love broccoli...but not as an ice cream topping. The weirdest ice cream concoction I ever had was banana/marshmallow/coconut. All upstanding favors on their own. But together I barfed.

broccoli is so delicious with everything...it soaks up the flavor! I eat broccoli everyday!
I am not a topping on my yogurt lover, but I do always walk away with the craziest of yogurt combos, like pumpkin+marshmellow+strawberry+chocolate...eww! hehe! but I always wanna try all the yogurt flavors! I hope you have a great weekend!
xoxo!

geez lady you are becoming quite the popular blogger... i'm pretty sure that list bit about getting high on frozen yogurt and laser tag described me perfectly. intentional? haha

Ice cream yes. frozen yogurt, no. Really I don't think there's much difference though. One has more fat, the other more sugar. Right? ? ?

Anyhow, I like raw honey on vanilla ice cream with fresh raspberries or blackberries or blueberries or strawberries or peaches with walnuts. The honey gets hard and is soooo sweet. If you are gonna be bad, right?

Also, I would not/could not eat broccoli on froyo or icecream. Yuck.
