3 o'clock munchies

Getting out of bed early for the gym in the winter is easy for me.  Our heater does not work and so the sooner I get to the warm gym the better.

Feel free to make your charitable contributions to Janae Jacobs.  Together we can save two twenty-four year olds (ok, Billy is 25) living in the ghettos of Utah.

Just Kidding, our landlord is coming over to fix it soon but until then I will sit one foot away from our ultra space heater.  Billy says I am going to get skin cancer from it. Just because my skin turns bright red and most humans would die from heat stroke by sitting that close doesn't mean a thing.  We really get into problems when I put a blanket over it to form a heat tunnel directly to my body.

Workout:

45 Minute Spin Class

30 Minute Stair Climber

15 Minutes Elliptical

3.5 Minutes Weights.  Please teach me how to motivate myself to lift outside of a group pump class or when Jillian Michaels is screaming at me.

Time for some snacks......

"My snack is basically a greek yogurt/apple/pumpkin parfait sprinkled with some pecans and maple syrup on top!"

How much will you charge to ship that to me Chels?

"So, the Mister and I have been obsessed with smoothies lately.  We live in the Michigan "fruit belt" which means there are all kinds of fruit stand and u-pick-it places.  We keep our freezer stocked from the summer deliciousness.  They always include rice milk, hemp protein powder, ground flaxseed, and either hemp or coconut oil (for the omega goodness).  Then we add whatever fruit we're in the mood for and alittle agave nectar for sweetness."

You win wife of the year, don't tell Billy that wives make their husbands snacks.  Are these smoothies the key to your speed???

"Pumpkin oats with vanilla whey.... something so warm, comforting and filling about this! it tastes so good it must be bad for me?!"

I love how filling oats are!

And spaghetti squash "dessert" pancakes with natural peanut butter! YUM!
I need to have those for dessert rather than my usual 2 lbs. of Sour Patch Kids for dessert.

See you after dinner.
Tell me what your 3 o'clock munchy was today?
- I had a delicious Sobe lean with a banana smeared in crunchy PB.

Heat tunnel! Hahaha. 30 minutes on the stair stepper... how do you do it? I was about to cry today after 10... I'm going for 15 tomorrow! ;) My 3:00 munchie was a toasted English Muffin with Barney Butter, and a side of grapes. Mmmm.

Does it count if I'm just eating lunch at 3pm??

I hope so, 'cause it is a giant salad with tomatoes, carrots, spinach, eggs, and cucumber, and a veggie wrap - red pepper hummus, misc veggies, in a tomato tortilla.

I'm famished!

nothing - except I think your digestive system would hate you for eating yogurt sitting out for 2 days.

I had my 3 o'clock snack all day! I made popcorn on the stove with butter and salt. Butter is a food group, right?

You have got to be freezing! Thank goodness for the space heater, though. Maybe Billy just likes to snuggle ;)

The Dawn is so lucky to live in a fruit belt!

I so badly want Jillian Michaels to yell at me during a workout. I think I need just one good @ss kicking by Jillian and I'd be motivated for life! My 3pm snack was a clementine!

we're obsessed with smoothies or banana soft serve. Last night I blended almond milk, frozen banana, and sugar free buttercotch pudding. I added xantham gum and made it a monster bowl of banana/butterscotch soft serve. OH SO HEAVENLY!!

i can't lift outside of class/video. i have tried. i hate wandering around from machine to machine. or standing in front of the free weights wondering which exercise i should do. i prefer someone else to figure all that out and tell me what to do :)

your cupcakes? those look killer. like i want to eat so many that i would die. delicious.

and finally--that burger the bro-in-law ate? gross x3.

Ohhh... you know... just some hummus with some carrots on the side ;-)

My heater broke in Jan. a few years ago... I had a fireplace then so I built a fire and then carried my boxspring, mattress and blankets and camped out in my living room for 3 days. Good thing I was single and had a twin bed. Don't think I could have carried a queen!
