Stuck in high school.

Billy will never trust me to pick the movie again.  I chose 'Easy A' tonight.

For some reason I really enjoy movies about high school (think Mean Girls, John Tucker Must Die, Clueless and Bring It On).

Why am I entertained by the ridiculous amount of drama and exaggerations about what high school is like....at least mine wasn't!

How long is this going to last, my poor future children....Hey mom what should we watch tonight?  MEAN GIRLS DUH!!!

Maybe it is because I loved high school so much.  Yes, I am one of those people that still hangs out with a lot of her high school friends.

Can you spot the high school me?

n506983037_27530_3628.jpg

I had blonde hair?!?! The sis was in hair school at the time and tried a new hair color on me every week.

To redeem putting Billy through two hours of watching cat fights and teenagers crying we went to our favorite little cheap buffet.  Pizza Pie Cafe.

It was 9:30 by the time we got there and I was hungry.  Salad was amazingsauce.

IMG_3895.JPG

Plenty of pizza.

IMG_3897.JPG

This is not a mirage, that is actually cinnamon sugar, hot fudge and frosting on doughy bread.

IMG_3898.JPG

Food baby to the max.

Check back later for a running post....I have been thinking a lot about this one.

I command you to relax all day, hang out with your family, eat delicious food and stay in your pj's as long as possible (if you do go to church or something just make sure to get right back in your pj's when you get home).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you like movies or TV shows based on high school?  Which one is your favorite?

-I am ashamed to say yes.  You'd think I would get enough drama from being a high school teacher but no. Mean Girls.

Have you had different colors of hair?

-Platinum blonde, jet-black, redish tints.....pretty much everything and I got so sick of it now I just do a little box color every now and then but that's it.

Favorite pizza topping?

-JALEPENOS.....had a piece that isn't in the picture that had a wheat crust, pesto sauce, cheese, loads of veggies and JALEPENOS!! Best Ever.

I've never dyed my hair before, but it does get lighter in the sun. Does it count as dying if I use sun in sometimes :D and during the winter months when the sun is scarce, I occasionally spray a little sun in on before I blow dry.
If I didn't It would look like I had roots growing in bc the rest of my hair is so light from working at the beach for 3 months. (ok end of ramble)

or not: I've thought of trying out darker also, but I'm scared.

Fav pizza toppings: tomatoes, basil, fresh mozz, and roasted red peppers!!

I still want to see Easy A!! I don't always like movies about high school, but it's a guilty pleasure every now and then.

I dyed my hair reddish twice in high school, but my hair is so dark it just looked like red highlights.

Favorite pizza topping is probably just cheese - but I like margherita piazz too.

I need to watch more movies I guess. I haven't seen any recent ones! I have dyed my hair so many colors. Blonde phase was ri.dic.u.lous.

Varsity Blues, Mean Girls, the first Bring It On, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off are all good ones.

I'm a reddish brown naturally, but its been about 3 years since I had it my own color. I've done the whole color gauntlet as well, and right now I'm True Red (think crayon) with black framing my face. It matches my paintball mask!

Mmmmm...pizza. I love the veggie pizza...any vegetable, throw it on there. And tell him to bring friends!

Cheesy high school movies are my favorite! I watched Easy A last weekend and liked it. And I'm for sure a fan of Mean Girls, Clueless, and just about every other one you can thing of.
I'm a pepperoni fan!! And dessert pizza is the way to my heart!
I dyed my hair black about 4 years ago. I'm a pasty red head so I looked like I was trying to be goth, and it went all wrong. I swore I will never EVER color it again.

Mean Girls was actually just on t.v. this week :) You inspired me to get creamies for a couple get togethers we had with friends and they were a big hit. Strawberry and peach are amazing! Plus they were only $2 for a box of 6 :)

Yum! Pizza and a salad--can't get much better than that. . . although a little ice cream would be good too! ;)

I did enjoy Clueless and Bring it On!

I've dyed my hair a dark, chocolate brown and have had highlights. . . nothing too daring or extreme.

Happy Sunday friend! I love the girlie high school movies - Clueless, Mean Girls, etc and also movies like Ferris Bueller's Day Off! That's a high school movie, right? :)

I've had just about every shade of blonde and brown and even some red in my hair. It's currently pretty close to it's natural color - light brown.

I love jalapenos on pizza! And veggies like mushrooms & squash and always fresh basil. Yum. Enjoy your Sunday. Excited to read your running post. xo

Clueless is my all time fave, though I noticed you forgot "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Jawbreaker"... those were two others I watch alllll the time!

My hair has only ever been different shades of dirty blonde and my favorite pizza topping is pineapple!

Annnnnnnnnnd I can't wait for your running post!!

Is that pineapple on your pizza!? I love any form of pizza w/pineapple on it, don't think my husband loves it as much as I do though. Our pizza place (Right Next Door!) makes this good one with a pesto base then ham and tomatoes, that's a good one too!

I love Mean Girls! Clueless was a good one too.

My hair is sort of a dark blonde. It used to be lighter but has some how darkened as I've gotten older. I have never changed the entire color, but I have had highlights before. It's au natural now. (Actually, right now it's a greasy mess because I haven't showered and I'm about to go for a run, eww).

I've been every hair color too. Which box color product do you prefer? I've been considering just doing a color lighter via box than spend the cash to have someone do it. I was curious if you have a favorite brand.

My sister and I used to die our hairs all kinds of colors when we were teens. Once I went to college I left it my natural color and haven't messed with it since.

Fav topics: I love a basic pepperoni pizza :)

Ohhh I love high school movies. It's ridiculous. I was DYING to see Easy A but never got around to it - I think I need to watch it On Demand or something. My favorites are anything sports related (Remember the Titans), 17 Again, 10 Things I Hate About You, definitely Clueless. Anytime I watch Clueless I'm amazed at how funny it still is! I mean it IS based on Jane Austen's "Emma" so I guess it's not too crazy that it's still great after all these years.

I've had every hair color from platinum blonde to blue to dark dark brown. Right now I'm back to my natural blonde with highlights. My mom would be heartbroken if I colored it again before I get married so I'm hanging in there... but I'm looking forward to when I can go darker again. I miss it. :(

My favorite pizza topping is definitely VEGGIES. As many as will fit on the pizza!!

I love hanging out with my high school friends, and I'm really glad we didn't have drama like in all those movies. My hair's always been red, and I love it. Feta is a must on my pizzas!

Beverly Hills 90210 (the original) and The O.C. top my list of high school shows! I don't think there are any current ones that I watch.

Your hair looks good that color! I've had mine black, which totally washed me out, and lighter which was ok. I decided to stop dyeing my hair all of the time because it's expensive when you have to get it done every month, so I've had my natural color for 3 years now.

I love jalepenos too! I need some spice in my life, or on my food. Jalepenos and pepperoni, simple but good.

I love those movies too! John Tucker Must Die is sooo great! Obviously Mean Girls rocks too. I think those shows are funny. Haven't seen Easy A... should I??

I dye my hair because I have soooo many grays (thanks Mom) and I have been blonde, brown and red. I think dark blonde/light brown looks the best on me and I have a hair appt in Feb, thank goodness!!!!

I'm boring when it comes to pizza. Plain cheese, please.

In high school I dyed my hair blue. It faded to green. I dyed it brown, but it turned out kelpy, because of the green. Then I dyed it black, and it was so fried it would break instead of bend, so I shaved it all off. Oh, high school.

Love high school movies. There is just something about the catty drama that intrigues me.

I am horrible with hair color. Once it started, it has been changing constantly. An original dirty blonde turned to blonde, then platinum blonde (horrid mistake), then back to brown, and down I am a deep brunette. I like switching it up for the hubby. Keeps things suspenseful :)

Immediately after church on Sundays, I put pjs on, and have the most lazy day ever.

i am following your command. Got back in my pj's after church and I'm laying here reading blogs and eating peanut m&ms. AMAZING.

I'm totally with you on the high school drama movies. so good!

As for hair color, my natural hair color is dark brown. I have dyed it since junior high and so now i feel like blonde is my natural color.

Favorite pizza: bbq chicken pizza at CPK.

You were so pretty in highschool! same as now =)
I have only dyed my hair a few times in highschool (IONS ago) and and after. I didnt get to crazy, just added a little red. I am very low maintence though and didnt want to have to deal with 'keeping it up', so I let it fade out.
Fav pizza topping? Hmmm, probably pineapple, but I havent had a pizza with pineapple on it in AGES, all because my littles dont like it. Hopefully I can indulge in 17 years when they are all out of the house =)

Mean Girls is my guilty pleasure...and I'm from the UK, so very little of the High School culture even applies over here. I think it's because I love US culture, bitchiness of High School and all.

I once dyed my hair black...never again, I had to grow it out and looked like a badger with my blonde roots. Then I got impatient and tried to bleach it out, leading to major hair falling out and a bright orange mop. Not recommended.

Pizza topping = plain old (vegan) cheese and tomatoes (marinara sauce). I am a simple creature.

Hope nothing was wrong to stop you running! Great speed workout, even though it wasn't the one you wanted.

I've had really blond highlights in my hair but lean towards the darker shades now. I usually do a foil with 2 different dark browns thrown in. I'm in desperate need of hair TLC. I usually only squeeze it in 1-2 times a year.
