Wedding Post

Workout:  I know I was whining about my poor little calf but when I woke up this morning it felt great so I went for it and had a stellar run.

The treadmill makes you stop at 60 minutes so that is why I had to start over again.

photo-4.jpgphoto-5.jpg

10 miles, 1% incline and 7:06 average.  Now I just need to do 16 more of those and each mile 13 seconds faster:)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have had some peep's request a post about my wedding.  I think they just want confirmation that the awesome Billy really did sign his life away to the craziest woman in the world.

It happened people and I might have to split this post up into a few posts because I have about 4 trillion pictures I want to post and I don't want your fingers to get tired scrolling down the page.

So, here goes......

First of all, this is us getting our marriage license.  Muhahaha proof that he is legally mine whether he likes it or not.

IMG_1689.JPG

This is our engagement announcement picture.  Do not leave me alone in a room with a bottle of self-tanner.  I will submerge an orange monster.

Eng-7854 tu vign.jpg All of my best friends including the sister and sister-in-law had a big slumber party at a fancy hotel the night before the big day and we stayed up way too late and ate way too much candy.   We woke up super early and the sis did my hair and make-up.

Wedding-6193.jpg

Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day we had a wedding breakfast at the Joseph Smith Memorial building in Salt Lake City.

I was not going to be one of those brides that didn't eat all day... I would not be smiling in any of the pictures if I skipped a meal.

Wedding-6209.jpg

Wedding-6215.jpg

We had an amazing breakfast and then our family members and close friends had some things to say.

This picture of my dad gets me every time.  He is a big tender teddy bear and I love him so much.

Wedding-6238.jpg

I was bawling (tears of happiness) and loved hearing such beautiful words from the people I love the most.

Wedding-6245.jpg

Billy with his beautiful mom!

Wedding-6281.jpg

We had a few things to say also:)

Following the breakfast we headed over to the Temple where we were married and sealed.  We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and we chose to be married in the temple where we make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father and our new spouse.  So, no pics of the ceremony.

This is us coming out....I was a little thrilled to say the least!

Wedding-6296.jpg

Don't make fun of my flats.  I am only a little shorter than Billy and I didn't want to be taller in the pics.

Don't make fun of the legs/feet that are the same color as the flats either.

Wedding-6304.jpg

For some reason Billy doesn't like it when I kiss him with four layers of lip gloss on, weirdo.

Wedding-6330.jpg

The whole clan.......

Wedding-6316.jpg

Someone was a little excited about that night if you know what I mean......

Reception and a ridiculous amount of pictures to come.....don't get too excited and hopefully your hand hasn't cramped from scrolling so much. If it is just remember the acronym R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compress and elevate).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Check out my guest post over at my new little bloggy friend, I LOVE her blog!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully, you aren't bored but I like sharing my life with you so deal with it and just accept the fact that we are all best friends.

If you are married.....what day did you get married?

-May 5!! I LOVE SPRING IN UTAH.

If you aren't married.....what season do you want to get married in?

What foods would you have at your ideal brunch?

-Fruit, croissants, eggs and cinnamon rolls (Billy, remember my b-day is on a Sunday this year which is the best day for you to make a delicious brunch with Swedish Fish and Milky Way's for dessert).

Ooooooooh, thank you! I'm engaged, so wedding stuff is super fun for me!!

I'm getting married in October, I was ADAMANT about October, and I honestly still have no idea why... But I refuse to budge.. Lol. I'm so excited I could scream.

You look so ridiculously happy and beautiful in your photos, and Billy looks the same. I was joking about eloping one day when I was super stressed and I told Shane the real reason we can't is because I wouldn't have wedding pictures. Lol. I think I want the whole wedding because of the pictures.

I'm a nerd. Haha! And I love posts about your life, because, well, I don't have much of one right now, so I live vicariously, and I think you're awesome. So I'll read them! And soon, I'll have fun wedding pictures to show the cyber also! YAY!

My brother got married on May 5th as well.

We were August 28th. The weather was perfect.

Brunch is 100% about bacon. But I will not turn down a well made eggs benedict.

May 14th! It will be four years for us this year. :)

Beautiful wedding pictures!! You're like really pretty :)

I'm not engaged or anything but I'd like a September wedding in North Carolina. The temperatures have cooled down from summer but the days are still long enough with the free feeling of summer lingering on.

...I clearly haven't thought about it at all.

my bestest friend and I got married on October 2nd 2010, best day ever!
It was a little crazy because my family hate our church and pretty much disowned me.

My dad got up and ripped our marriage licence during the signing :(

My groom was sworn at my my family members at the altar.

I had no bridesmaids because they all went crzy the week before.

But it was the best day and we are going to get married again next year in rarotonga!!

Your wedding was beautiful, I love your dress and also how you are so unashamed of your beliefs. It is really refreshing.

xx

Oh, we also went and got gelato in my wedding dress! It was so much fun because its our gelato place.

I also ran on the wedding morning and had THE BIGGEST SMILE EVER on my face and said to other runners, "I'm getting married today!"

April 18, so yes, Boston this year is on our second anniversary! But I've only known my husband for about 5-6 years, and I've wanted to run Boston for almost 10 years, so we'll be spending our big day in Boston, running/spectating and then hopefully going out for a nice dinner for which I stay awake (and smiling with a PR).

Choosing our date was not based on preference (we both wanted Sept or Oct) but based on tons of other dates being ruled out:

We got engaged in October and wanted to get married the following October, but both best man and MOH had school-related stuff they couldn't skip in the fall. So Sept-Dec of 08 were out of the question.

We got married in Italy, so we didn't want to do August (since everyone is on holiday then), and we weren't keen on June or July b/c it would be too warm, and we didn't want to get any earlier in the year b/c there wouldn't be time for my family to get passports and to get everything planned. So all of 08 was out of the question.

So we had to look at things after the fall semester ended. Didn't want to do winter b/c we were getting married in a castle courtyard and it would be too cold. And Italy won't let you get married during Lent, so we had to wait until the Saturday after Easter that year!

I like carby stuff for brunch -- waffles, pancakes, croissants, and maybe something like quiche, plus tons of fruit.

I love that y'all had a wedding breakfast. What a fabulous way to start the day. I would have tons of fresh fruit, muffins, pastries and lox, bagels & cream cheese! Billy would request some breakfast tacos with bacon, egg, potato & cheese. :)

10-01-10

it's a super cool date, because my birthday is weird like that to (9-8-89) :)

Can you believe it was 90 degrees in October?? The temple was a bit hot, but it was PERFECT weather for the reception. We almost did the end of August, but I'm so glad we went for October instead. I would have died if it were any warmer in that dress!

LOVE your pictures. Who was your photographer? They captured the moments of your day so well! That picture of your dad has SO MUCH personality in it!

August 2! I got to take a tour of the local temple after it was built. Beautiful. The bride's room was AMAZING. We spent the night in Provo on our way to Glacier National Park this summer. I thought it was a really neat town. Utah was very pretty to travel through with all the cool arches and rock formations.

For suuuure! We could do a temple date! (then you wouldn't feel too weird about meeting a complete stranger from the internet) Promise we're not creeps. Let me know when you're coming down, do you have family out here? Also, the brunch answer: Breakfast, brunch, snack, dinner: Ice cream & cookies. If I would have had my way we probably would have skipped the reception altogether and had an ice cream frenzy in the hotel room that night.

Gorgeous gorgeous pics! You are a stunning couple! My wedding December 27th. Thought we could save a few bucks on the church already decorated for Christmas-ha!

I totally do NOT know what you mean. Why would Billy be excited about that night......I'm clueless!

We got married at the end of July. In New Orleans. It was 97 degrees.
By the way, we had a breakfast, too - but actually our wedding reception was a breakfast. I chose this because
1. I was a broke student and breakfast is an inexpensive meal and
2. No one dances at 11 am and I can't dance at all.

Those pictures are fantastic! I hope you two have that much joy every day of your lives.

J and I got married on June 25, 2004 in Nassau, Bahamas. We picked that day because our first choice (the friday after Thanksgiving) was vetoed by our parents. They were hoping we would push it back 6 months, but instead we bumped it up six months to the first Friday after the schools where I grew up got out. (My little sis was 14 at the time).

Breakfast items: chocolate croissants, cheese filled eggs, stuffed french toast, anything else with 10000+ calories.

You are so gorgeous and your wedding pics look amazing!

Our wedding date was June 21. :) And an ideal brunch would include fruit and muffins (preferably chocolate chip)

August 28, 2010! Exactly one year from when he proposed. We were worried about it being hot bc summer in Vermont can be tricky, but we got the most perfect day ever. I even got to wear a cute sweater in the evening :)

And brunch is such an issue for me. I never know if I should go with the waffles/pankcakes or omelets. But home fries are a must!

I love seeing wedding pictures! I got married August 6th. No real reason for the date. We got engaged in January, and the church said we had to give them six months notice, so we would go through prep classes, etc, and I wanted to get married before school started.

LOVE the pics, you are beautiful! IS your hub's tie that he wore at the brunch knit?? If so, very cool, if not, still looks very cool!

Also- at my gym, if yo type in 120 for time, it goes into "marathon mode" and will not automatically shut off after 60 minutes (it's Life Fitness equipment)- just a thought- maybe try it!

Well, when Bud and I finally get married, it will probably be either Spring or Summer--fall is hunting time for him and retail gear up for me. I have always wanted a big wedding, but as age and a clearer head about money rule the roost now, I just want family (which is huge on my side), a few friends, then lots of great food and some great wine. I'd like a cocktail reception, actually. And I want to see Bud in a tux, because it will be the only time in our lives that he will wear one. And I will probably bawl the whole time in absolute happiness and disbelief that we're finally getting married.

How awesome of you to share these photos! Oh my gosh, you guys make a good looking bride and groom! Love your wedding dress with the short sleeves - so modern yet traditionally elegant. The photo of your Dad is so sweet. I have never heard of a Wedding Day breakfast and really like the concept.
Thank you for explaining your Church's traditions with the ceremony as well. It's really interesting to me! Were your family members allowed in the temple with you while you took your vows?
I would love to get married in the summer or winter. I'm in a very non-traditional relationship... my boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 7 years... so I'd love to get engaged in any upcoming season! :-D

You two are the most gorgeous couple! I think I'd want to get married in the fall...I really like fall colors. But who knows? Because I am not all too sure where I want to get married? A destination weddings always sound great to me but not to the beach, I'm from the beach! I've always loved the idea of having a brunch the day after my wedding because I don't need to rush off to a honeymoon I'd want to take my time enjoying the day with no stress on time=) There'd have to be an omelet station, fruit, hash browns. and or course cinnamon buns and other pastries! I'm a breakfast person...can you tell?

the Huz and I got married on October 18,2008 (because it was after my equine competition season. and the leaves were all pretty.) it was a great wedding- and I too ate ALL day. People could not believe that I kept shoving food in my mouth- but I was hungry, yo! Didn't want my belly rumbling during the ceremony...

What the hey! how did I miss this post?!? For real...I read this blog every day and I missed this post! What?!? The pic of your dad made me tear up and I don't even know you guys!

Anyway, Alex and I got married September 22 of last year...In Jamaica. It was awesome. It was my second marriage, his first. I'm thankful for my first marriage though....It taught me a lot about the person I need to be and about the partner I deserve to have in my life.

During my divorce I was telling someone about my ideal man. There were obvious qualities, but some quirky ones as well...He had to like science fiction and he had to be okay with my closet comic book geek side and he had to have a very similar sense of humor (I have an odd sense of humor). Alex matched every one of those things to a T. I married my soul mate, for sure.

OK, I know this post was a few days ago, but I'm still going to comment!

First off, your pictures are beautiful. I don't know if you two could possibly look any happier. I love it!
Secondly: As my brand-new fiance and I are in the early stages of wedding planning (!!!!), I think we've settled for June. Now we just need to know if it's going to be June 2012 or June 2013. We're having it on my family's property back in MI on the lake, and I'm so freaking excited! :D Early summer in my hometown is absolutely gorgeous.
