Why, hello my dearest friends.....

Workout:

Taught spin

8 mile run didn't happen this morning and I will talk more about that more tomorrow but a 3-mile hill repeat @ marathon goal race pace (this hill mimics heartbreak hills elevation and length exactly) did happen and burned so good.  Seriously, there is nothing like the feeling of breathing so heavy and your lunch about to come back up at the end of each hill.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The day flew by.  We went to the running store (because I love to hang out there and the bro-in-law got VIBRAMS) and I even showered, then it was time for my blogger date.

On twitter I asked whether I should go for a chcolatey mixture of yogurt or a fruity combo with gummy bears.  There was mixed reviews so I went with both and 1/4 lb of sprinkles because sprinkles brighten anyone's day. I loved every. single. bite.

IMG_3892.JPG

Be jealous you don't live in Utah because we clearly have some cool cats.

IMG_3894.JPG

It is crazy how we didn't know each other in real life but we were able to talk for 2 hours straight and we could have talked forever but Billy was all impatient and worried I was half way to Mexico because I was meeting people from the internet and didn't hear him call me 4 times while we were there.

Check out these woman's blogs because they are hardcore and super hot. Rachelle,Julia, Cindy, Jenand Ashley.

The darling Jenbrought me fresh eggs from her chickens and homemade applesauce, spaghetti sauce and Jam.  She is my hero.  I think getting food for presents is my favorite thing ever.

Seriously, I am going to plan a reunion six months in advance so that we can all hang out together and be best friends because we are all a little crazy about exercise and delicious food and we all understand each other.  I promise it will be the best week of your life.  Start saving your pennies for airfare and I will provide everything else, k?

Welp, off for more food....Billy's bro is in town and they want to hit up a pizza buffet, at least there is an amazing salad bar that will proceed the 8 pieces of pizza that I have.

*****Check out the amazing MommysGoingForARun's GIVEAWAY and wish her luck on her 3rd marathon in 3 months....marathon maniac:)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you ever met bloggers in real life?

-This was my first time ever and I loved every second and I WILL meet each and everyone of you at some point whether you like it or not muhahaha.

Do you do hill training?

-Not really that much but I am going to get into it hardcore starting today, makes for a killer workout.

What did you do today my lovelies?

Today I kind of just hung out!

I haven't met any bloggers in real life yet. :( Well, unless you count a few hockey friends who also happen to have blogs. (One of whom had his hockey blog noticed by NBC, and now he works for them writing the Pro Hockey Talk blog. So cool for him!!)
Today was kind of lazy. We wandered around a few stores just to get out and do something, and then I spent the afternoon playing with a recipe while the fiance watched hockey stuff. Glad you had fun on the meet-up! It sounded like a blast!
PS-I just found you on Twitter! :)

Janae, you are too adorable! I wish I lived in Utah! Hang out with the funnest girl ever + eat amazing fro-yo . . . how can you go wrong?!

Sounds like an awesome hill workout. I sometimes/rarely do them intentionally on the treadmill, but my long runs are always on hilly routes and I sprint the hills. Definitely feel the burn! Are you going to do anything specific for the downhills of Boston, or does your hill workout incorporate that? I have heard that can be the hardest part of the course! You will conquer that though for sure.

Just so you know, I am already planning to impose on any and all blogger shenanigans during the Boston Marathon weekend. We WILL meet!

Also, thanks again for the treadmill love! I set a personal record of 17 miles on it this morning and thoughts of your treadmill runs kept me going. It felt amazing!

Today, I went to the gym and worked out for TWO HOURS, which is a huge record for me. Then I went to "Horne's" restaurant with a friend, and a friend of a friend, and had a milkshake. I haven't had a milkshake in two years. It was the most delicious milkshake I have ever tasted. I shall never be the same again.

When my now 6-year-old was still in my belly, I started writing to a bunch of ladies online who had similar due dates. We soon formed a group and called ourselves The Opals because the kids were all born in early October. I've met two of the ladies in real life. Great, great ladies who became great, great friends.

As for today, I got up early to go help out with my school's spelling bee. I was the "Spelling Master" and got to read all the words out loud for the kids to spell. Talk about a lot of pressure! The kids can spell better than me, that's for sure.

I used to hate hill training (cause it is all about speed, and I was always slow compared to the sprinters), but now it is my FAVORITE because I know it is doing amazing things for me :D

Haven't met any bloggers yet, but I'm considering traveling to Boston to cheer you all on and doing a half ironman in Sept. that a TON of bloggers are doing!

I LOVE hill training! Must be the rower in me ;-) Hill repeats, stair running, stadiums… LOVE! Cannot wait to start again. It's been way too long!

Today I just hung out w/ my kids and made chocolate pudding (homemade) when they went swimming w/ dad. Even though it was raining.

SO sad I don't live in Utah because I want to come eat ice cream with you. Seriously I will save my pennies so I can fly to your epic blogger meet up. We should probably meet soon though because I talk about you to people like you are my real life BFF. :)

I've never done a complete previous stranger meet up, although I might next weekend. I feel like I would be real nervous that I wouldn't be as cool in real life as I am online, haha!

I am totally jealous I don't live in Utah! I wish I could have come and hung out with all the cool cats and ate ice cream.

Well, I do love where I live, you and Billy should come visit Wellington.

So I thought today was going to be lazy, but then I ran, ate crepes with some friends, baked cookies for sick manfriend, played a super fun 2 hours of Ultimate Frisbee in my new pink tempo shorts, and now i'm off to bake and deliver cookies fresh out of the oven and watch a movie :)

Hope you have a lovely Saturday night

I hope we can be bloggie friends, too! I just need to learn how to do all of this stuff and make my page look purrrrd-ay.

Plus, my life is pretty dull, so I don't know how this is going to work out. Probably will be me just biotching about everything. Haha!

-I neeeeever met anyone I met on the internet except college people who added me via facebook and I've seen on campus and such. I don't really have a blog yet, so I changed the question a bit ;)

-I used to do some hill workouts but I'm trying to run for distance for the half marathon, so mostly I'm doing just 1% incline on everything. My "easy" paced runs usually have more hills... I feel it balances everything out.

-Todddaayyyy I ran, did some laundry (ew), got some skin cancer to make me look tan, ate about half a bag of broccoli, went grocery shopping, and now i'm just hanging out by myself because I'm a grandma.

Janae you never wrote me back to tell me if you could do a SLC meetup! And while we could do FroYo because I love it, I think we could also do Gelato because it's just beyond. And you would have to bring TB (the billy) with you because A) he'd love the gelato, and B) he wouldn't worry about J.A. (janae abduction) and C) he could take photos of the whole event and D) I would be there so you'd finally overcome that feeling that something was missing from your life.

Settebello's pizza has a gelato shop connected to it called CAPO that would blow you away. Come! We would have such a lovely time!!! And I'm happy to be your counterpart on this end for organizing it if you need help. And if no one else showed up, we'd still have a blast! :-)
Pretty Please?!?!

Bloggy meetups are the best. I have been fortunate enough to meet a bunch. I traveled a bunch last year and was hosted by other bloggers.

Other than G, my BFF and training partner, who is a blogger. I have met and am now friends in real life with Katye from Long Legs on the Loose, Erika from MCM Mama, Shelly from It's one step in front of the other, Courtney from Run Courtney Run, Mel aka Tall Mom on the Run, Zoe from Run Zoe Run, Jill from Running to Sanity, Kim from Just Trying is for little Girls, Stacie from Impossible is Nothing, Becka from 50 Half Marathons in 50 States. Amanda aka Miss Zippy, Jessica from One Happy Runner, Kerrie T from Mom vs. Marathon and Amanda from 5 Miles 2 Empty.

Wow. Looking at it. I'm kind of a blogging whore. I'm ok with that though.

Oh yea and TMB up there...met here when she came to WA for a race!! Pretty cool!! So maybe if I make it up to Boston to spectate I can say "What up YO!?"
