Flatbread that dreams are made of

My sister-in-law works at a company that actually cares about the health of their employee's.  What a crazy idea.

You would think that every company would pick up on this in order to save on health care.

Employees get a free HEALTHY lunch everyday.  Shelly saved up some of her meal tickets and treated us to lunch.

Vegetable soup, salad with grilled chicken, cranberries, walnuts, feta cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette.  The side of flat bread was ridiculous.  I could have eaten a football field of it.

Can you believe that her company provides all 1,000 people a healthy lunch everyday.  Once in a while they give us free pizza at school, it is on wheat crust.

Went for hot chocolate and donuts.....I had a bite but Krispy Kremes are way too rich for me.

Can you spot my bro-in law in the top right corner......they are still getting used to the fact I take pictures of what I eat.

We are now on our way to the Annual Turkey Day sleep over.  There will be about 15 of us sleeping at my sisters tonight.  Plans include:

-Watching movies on a projector all night long

-Pillow fights

-Eating ridiculous amounts of sugar and mozzarella sticks

-Random games my mom made up

-Turkey piñata.  Okay, not really but that is a tradition I will be doing with my future children.

Does your job do anything to promote the health of the employees?

-Not at my job.  At my sister-in-laws work they have a gym, healthy free food, contests to loose weight and rewards for being healthy.  Sign me up.

Any night before Thanksgiving traditions?

-Sleepover party.

My company pays for health insurance for every employee (doesn't include family) but each one of us literally pay ZERO for health insurance every year so I think that's pretty awesome. I don't really have anything Thanksgiving traditions. My family lives far away but I have been enjoying Thanksgivings with my in-laws.

What an awesome idea! Can I please work there??

I hear you on the taking pictures of food thing. My favorite comment I've heard, "How do you have time to actually eat your food when you are so busy taking pictures of it?" We bloggers are a crazy bunch. :)

Have a great holiday!

Honey, EAT SOMETHING. Or let me give you all my fat already. I'm so envious of your skinniness.

I work for a cosmetics/beauty/"adult" company, and gets heaps of free product.... Which is not really "healthy", but it does make me happy? :D

Krispy Kreme are like my crack. I can only have them once or twice a year.

Since we moved across the country, I've been working on creating our own traditions... So far it seems to be hiking. We take a hiking trip every holiday. Love :).

My job does not do anything to promote the health of employees which is a real shame!

Although, my boss is in his late 60 and is a mega cyclists and definitely encourages and motivates us to be healthy!

I love that you are having a slumber party with the fam! We are doing that for Christmas this year with my nieces. Tonight, it's been takeout pizza, cooking, watching Notting Hill, icing sore running knees and reading blogs. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hmmm....well, THIS year, I'm in the basement hiding from my step-siblings-in-law :) Playing on my computer (AKA BlogCrack) like a nerd who didn't get asked to the dance. WAIT! That was ME!

I'm jealous of your sleepover!

Wow, what company is that? That's awesome that they provide healthy food daily! We get a lot of discounts through my hospital...gyms being one of them. I don't know how many people actually take advantage of it. I might if I wasn't such a big runner...

That sleepover sounds awesome! Never too old for a sleepover. :)

We have a gym but no free food. Good cafeteria though with many healthy options. I've never used any of these (gym & healthy options). I'm bad!

My job has a federal (or state?) grant so that my husband (who doesn't work there!) and I get paid to work out. If you work out a certain number of days a week for a certain number of hours you get paid a bonus quarterly. Suh-weet! We recently decided to start funneling that money into a treadmill fund.

No night before Thanksgiving traditions - but gearing up for our Thanksgiving morning run at the local park!

Happy Thanksgiving, Janae!

Healthy Lunch for free!!!

So, I work for a Dentist. I guess I get free toothpaste and toothbrushes which promote healthy teeth but the break room is packed full of chocolate covered potato chips and frozen pizzas...Healthy teeth are a must there, healthy hearts...not so much-ha!

That flatbread looks awesome. My sweet neighbor lady just brought us piles of lefsa she just made (Do they have that in Utah?) Thin, looks like a tortilla, you roll it, made from potatoes...Anyway, this stuff is still warm and the kids and I are devouring it!

Have a great Thanksgiving. Off to hang out with my family. I'm the oldest of 6 girls. Too fun to spend Holiday's with my sisters!!

That's awesome! My work def doesn't do that. It would be cool if they'd offer some benefits/perks for a healthy lifestyle. Free healthy lunch is nice.
