Don't tell Billy.....

But I am slaving away in the kitchen to make him a 3 (maybe 4 I can't really count) ingredient treat.

I don't remember where I saw this recipe but it made me drool and we have had a pie crust sitting in our fridge for at least 5 months.  I bought the pie crust because I told Billy I was going to make him Shepherds Pie- one of his favorites.  This did not occur because he still hasn't made me the 15 lb ice cream cake that I asked him to make me so I refused to make his Shepherds Pie.   Now this is a mature relationship.

Get ready for this tough recipe list.

Store Pie Crust.

Butter.

Cinnamon-sugar (see this is where it got tricky and I am not sure if that is one or two ingredients).

Throw it into the oven on broil for 8 minutes.  Eat 4 before your significant other/family/roommates get home and tell them how crazy it is that pie crusts are getting smaller and smaller these days and that is why there are only 3 churros left.

IMG 6152

The smell of churro-like goodness will hit him like a brick wall when he comes home from finishing his 3 hour electrical enginerding test.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who knows how I got up in time for the gym this morning but I did it and I rocked out the pumping of iron and gained at least 3/4ths of an inch on each bicep of pure muscle.  It was one of those mornings that when I was getting ready after pump I couldn't remember driving to the gym or the first half of the workout.  Scary.  Time to dunk my head in cold water before I leave for the next early gym session.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edited to add:  He just came home and tried them.  He loved me so much for making them he said I could spend as much money as I wanted on races when I get better:)

What is your favorite simple 3 or 4 ingredient recipe?

Do you ever drive somewhere and wonder how you got there?

-Maybe it is just me and I need more sleep or I daydream too much but somehow large chunks of my day pass by without even knowing it.

What are your Friday night plans?

-I don't know yet but I did tell Billy that we better have an awesomely fun night after a long day of teenagers running around the classrooms jumping off the desks.  Maybe it wasn't my best idea to give them a bag of swedish fish, I know that you probably think I am lying but I did share my swedish fish on my own free will.

Ohmygosh those look AMAZING!! Well how could anything with tons of butter and cinnamon-sugar not be, right?! Haha I'D pay for anything for you if I had those! :P

My Friday night was spent watching Disney movies and blog reading. Best times:)

That looks awesome! We always end up with extra pie crust because they come in packs of two and we only ever use one. I hope Billy gets it together and takes you on an awesome free date!

I am LOVING this simple recipe. DELICIOUS goodness.

Ummm...On Wednesdays it takes me at least 45 minutes to wake up. We are usually working on abs by the time I finally realize where I am. I suck. haha.

Friday night plans = leftover zucchini lasagna with my school friends :) And RILEY TIME. Are you getting a pup yet? Lets go puppy searching this weekend :)

In undergrad, I attended college 7 hours from home. I often would drive 200 miles and not really remember where the time went...Scary!

My favorite easy recipe -- wrap spanish rice, black beans, and salsa in a tortilla. repeat for 8, and put side by side, squished together, in a 8x8 pan. Grate cheese on top and throw in the oven at 350 until cheese is melted and they are hot through. Serve with more salsa and maybe some sour cream...delish!

Friday night plans- probably ice my poor foot and watch some cheesy animated movies. :)

I might just steal the idea, they look so tasty!! I love making flour tortilla chips - spray both sides of flour tortilla with butter flavored cooking oil. Cut into wedges and arrange in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle wedges with cinnamon sugar. Spray again with cooking spray. Bake them in the oven @ 375f for 8-10 minutes. They're easy and delicious!

Tonight = couch, after a long week of workouts and moving, I will be lucky if I make it to 7:45, which is the time we went to bed last night...

Injured? Sorry just started reading..

Yum! I love this really easy 4 ingredient recipe: cream cheese + chives + wonton wrapper + oil for frying. You do the math- easy and no where near healthy.

I distinctly remember, during my childhood, behaving the whole time my mom was shopping in Costco so that I could get a churro at the end. Those home-made ones sound awesome!

Are you sure your students aren't holding you hostage right now for your swedish fish?! Codeword: write a post about yogurtland if you need someone to come save you. Wait, no, that won't work :D

I am soooo glad to hear you don't remember large chunks of time. Once I completely freaked out that I had early onset alzheimers because I drove to work and couldn't remember nearly the whole drive. I was spooked.

My favorite three ingredient recipe: olive oil, baby spinach, fresh salsa (the kind from the deli, not from a jar!). Saute in a pan. Yum and so easy!

Delicious treats! My Billy would approve for sure. My favorite 2-4 ingredient treat is homemade peanut butter cups OR rice crispy treats. We're sitting at home on the couch watching movies like nerds/old people on our Friday night. :)

That reminds me of the cookies my Mother made for us when I was a child, and now my older sister makes them, too.

Pie crust, buttered, slathered with cinnamon sugar and then cut in strips like you have done... with one more step. Roll them up and then slice them off in 1/4 widths and THEN bake them. They look like wheels.

I bet Billy will worship you all weekend... and he should!

i made those super simple PB cookies once and they turned out way better than expected for so few ingredients. just pb, eggs, sugar, and i feel like im forgetting one but that might have been it. and they are super dense and moist, oh yummmmm i want one now. those pie crust strips are genius!!! my night consisted of (east coast time, im in bed) babysitting and hanging with my dad. thrilling!

This is easy. I buy the Oreo chocolate pie crust, if I can't find that one, I buy a chocolate one. Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and hot fudge. Let the ice cream soften, spread it in the crust, ALL of it. Smooth it out. Let it refreeze. Then, spread the hot fudge chocolate on top, back to the fridge. There you have the best ice cream pie!!!!!!!!

I rarely remember my drives. One day I was headed into town and was turning off of one highway onto another... well, don't tell anyone, but there are some stop signs that I very rarely stop at. This isn't one of them, but I cannot remember if I stopped and looked for oncoming traffic... all I remember is about a quarter to half a mile down the road I look in my rearview mirror and a car is quickly approaching me. I just do not remember if I actually stopped or if I just turned without thinking!

4 Ingrediants: 3 tbs. butter, 1 bag mini marshmallows, 4 cups rice krispies and 1/4 yellow cake mix. Make them like normal rice krispy treats, but put the dry cake mix in one spoonful at a time as the marshmallows are melting. Yummiest rice krispy treats ever!! And if you want to add a 5th ingrediant...mix some fun sprinkles in there!

I posted about my favorite and easiest dessert to make here: http://irunyourun.wordpress.com/2011/03/25/easiestquickest-dessert-ever/

So it has 6 ingredients, but it basically involves throwing everything at once in a blender, then putting it all in the microwave for 7 minutes. And yes, I take it to dinner parties and people think I'm a rockstar, because all that chocolate is delicious!
