Celebrating Billy's Heritage.

Sure hope you aren't sick of 'Billy and Janae's Crazy Sunday Adventures' yet because you are about to embark on a long detailed journey.

First up, after church we were H.U.N.G.R.Y and decided to whip out Billy's surprise dessert that he made for me the other day when I was at yoga!

Mini cheesecakes (with jam on top) with a vanilla wafer crust.  So good.  He must want something outta of me or maybe this was just my reward for picking up my wet towels from the bathroom floor for the first time in our marriage.  We split one to help us from not eating our arms on the way up us to dinner.

IMG 6055

P.S. Kind of random but exciting news when it comes to church.......I was asked to be a teacher for the woman's group.  I think I was born to teach (because you always learn more when you teach something).....school, spin and now church.....I think it might be a sign that I need help in the whole learning department:)

If the below picture does not scream happiness and the solution for world peace....I don't know if we can be friends.  That watermelon melted my heart and I may have snagged a little baggie, okay a huge baggie to bring to school with me today.

IMG 6057

We had a taco bar for dinner and I decided I just want to build in a perma taco and salad bar into my future dream home and have someone come every day to fill up the stations with fresh ingredients.

IMG 6056

Two tacos for me in corn tortillas with shredded chicken, guac, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese.  Billy used his excuse that he is 1/4th Mexican and needs to honor his heritage to go back for seconds.

IMG 6059

There was some bball to be watched.  Okay, I only lasted 2 minutes.  Somedays I just can't sit still (maybe because I spent 3/4ths of yesterday watching movies) especially when there are people everywhere begging to be talked to.

IMG 6064

You know a family dinner with us ends with a bang.  I was in charge of dessert (I only stole 98% of the ingredients from my mom's pantry) but I did make it so I should get some favorite daughter points, I need another 3,948 to catch up to my sister.

IMG 6067

I brought a cake that we topped with whipped cream and strawberries and homemade oreos.  People need options and sometimes I need a break in between my chocolate binge with something fruity and lighter.  Chocolate ---> Strawberries---> Chocolate -----> Something Salty----->Chocolate.

IMG 6075

My dad calls my mom a 'Foxy Lady' and I would have to agree.

IMG 6076

I clearly won favorite aunt points.  I am so far ahead in that race though (please forgive me sister-in-laws for winning over the hearts of all the neices and nephews in the family).  If I can't get my sub 3 marathon right now you better believe I will be the favorite 'cool' aunt.

IMG 6077

On a final note: This is how Billy and I only spend $120 a month on groceries.

My family loves to load us up on groceries when we leave.  Um, Billy maybe we do need to stick around Utah for law school otherwise my grocery bill will easily hit $500 a month just for myself.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are some features that you want in your 'dream' house?

-A cute little pool house (obviously next to an awesome pool) with 10 different fro-yo machines and a topping bar.  A slide that goes from the top to the basement (my friends have this and it is so cool) and of course the most bomb diggity home gym you have ever seen complete with Kara shrines and a movie screen for me to watch The Bachelor as I run.  Drinking fountains every 15 steps are also a must (one of them will be a chocolate milk fountain). Its not like I think about this kind of stuff very often;)

Hard shell, soft shell or corn tortilla?

-Soft corn tortillas are my FAVORITE!!!

What is your IDEAL time to workout?

-7 a.m. and in just 8.5 more school days that dream will come true!!!

Soft shell tortillas for me!

My ideal workout time is like 5:30, right after work. I'm always ready for it!

You guys have some seriously awesome family time. That taco bar and dessert looks amazing!

Ive never really thought about my dream house, only because Im single and dont have any prospects for a husband! hahaha.
I am a soft shell kind of girl.
My ideal time to workout is the morning, like 15 minutes after I wake up, but its raining in Ohio like the state has become the rainforest so I havent been running outside. So I basically do arms and legs and abs when I am bored or wanna take a break from cleaning or folding clothes!

Oh yea, I really need a automatic salad bar that will refill itself and cut its own veggies. Life would be SO easy then :)

LOVE corn tortillas too! Especially fresh ones that are so soft and delicious...

I usually work out during the morning around 10AM, but I can pretty much work out anytime as long as I've digested my food.

Your homemade oreos and strawberry cake look amazing!!! Send me some please!

I like to workout in the morning too, just not the super duper early morning like 5 am. My dream house needs a fabulous airy kitchen and a walk in closet with a special place for my shoes.

Congrats on your new teaching position at the church. You forgot your teaching and influence as a blogger.

As a mom, my dream house comes with a maid ...but the pool would be nice too.

I always workout right after work. I feel warmed up and itching to go. If I try to run in the morning, I feel stiff and it takes me forever to get moving.

I LOVE a taco bar! Just had one with my family, too :)

Yummmm those tacos look good!

I want my dream house to have a huge kitchen so I could spend hours in there making tons of food! My kitchen right now is like the size of a walk in closet :(

I like to workout after work, my muscles just don't warm up until the afternoon!

If I ever get a handle on my sleep, my ideal time would probably be around 8:00 in the morning, with yoga a couple times during the day. (okay, so I only do yoga once a day/4 times a week right now, but would love to one day do it several times every day. I mean, how zen would I be?? lol)

Mmm taco bar! Love mexican food. I always have my tacos in a corn tortilla.

I usually like working out around 6 am but lately I've been all about working out at lunch time

Yum the cheesecake thing looks way good!

My dream house would be a huge 3 bedroom loft apt here in Brooklyn where I live. It would have a dishwasher and washer/dryer. It would be so wonderful and have an awesome open kitchen!

I like the soft corn tortillas, I just became aware that you can get them at chipotle instead of hard corn. Yay!

My ideal workout time is between 7-8 am.

Woot Woot for summer!

I had tacos yesterday too!! I LOVE tacos!! I had 3 huge ones lol... whoops... oh well, first tacos of the season so I had to splurge right?! ;)

I loved that post about your dad. My mom is very overweight and has sleep apnea and all these other health problems, and we KNOW that if she eats better and exercises she will get better, but it really is all up to HER. :) hard to accept, but like you said, she's gotta get motivated herself! congrats for your dad, he is AMAZING (tell him I said that) and you should totally do a 5k or something with your daddyo! that would be so so cute.

When we strike it rich (HA!) we have said that we're gonna build a house with a section in it just for our animals and it's gonna have all kinds of cool gadgetry, like a door that will open on a timer to let them outside to pee so that I can sleep past 6:00 on the weekends for a change!

I want my future house a large plot of land and to have sheep on the land. I am obsessed with sheep and will have a farm with them someday. Also, I want to grow as much of my own food.

I prefer to work out at like 10am. I love to sleep in. During the summer though, yikes, that 10am is a whole nother story!

I think I have a problem when it comes to soft flour toritillas...I like to roll them up and eat them plain!

And oh my goodness, I have so many ideas for my dream house. But sometimes it's like when you go to IKEA, you see one model room and are like ahhh love it! Then you see the next one that's completely different and love it too!!!

Love the mini cheesecakes. Billy seems awesome! So cool he cooks for you.

I am mad jealous your family hooks you up with groceries. I spend way too much, especially on greek yogurt.

The most important thing in my dream house is a freaking huge kitchen, fully loaded with stainless steel everything. O someday!

you are so friggin' funny.

1) I would have to agree with all of your dream home amenities, especially the home gym and froyo bar. However, I would probably have to add an ice cream shop with a full-time scooper to the mix. One who, of course, gives me scoops the size of softballs.

2) soft corn tortillas, eeeaassssyyyy.

3) A 6:30 a.m. workout with 30 minutes of intense lifting followed by 30 minutes of high intensity cardio. I would be schwetty by the end. And it would be awesome.

WOW, so after getting back from my run and reading your post I'm even more starving! I think the combo of chicken tacos and then homemade oreos put me over the top, I'm also more than a bit jealous that Billy is so cool and whipped you up some mini cheesecakes too! :)

For me it's all about the soft tacos, actually I eat them pretty much every day...no lie.

And I'm all about getting my workout in first thing in the morning. No better way to start the day off...so on that note I'm off to get my food on! :)

NOW I WANT TACOS!!! I'm soft shell all the way loaded with tons of veggies and 3 pounds of guac and salsa.

My dream house would have a candy bar (wine gums and nibs are necessary), endless bowl of BBQ kettle chips, and a tree made of chocolates where the chocolate keeps growing back after I eat it. Chocolates include all M and Ms except for the dark chocolate ones, peanut butter cups, Skor...what am I saying...any chocolate will suffice.

I would also need a huge gym withevery cardio machine ever made, a TRX training system and a stage for Shaun T from Insanity to come in and do one on one workouts with me. That is all. I don't think I'm asking for too much.

Thanks for always posting amazing stories. You make my day :)

My dream house would have two guest houses, one for my mom and one for the mother-in-law. I love corn tortilla the best, I think they add something that soft/hard tortilla's don't.

My ideal time would be whenever I wanted to...but since I have this pesky thing called a job I have to schedule my workouts which is annoying.

Definitely soft! I hate corn tortillas (not the taste, although I think soft tastes better, but their functionality is poor! They always crack on me and half the ingredients fall out, or they get all soggy from my salsa!). My ideal workout time would be maybe 8:30 or 9 am, or 8:30 or 9 at night, haha. I am a night person and when I used to work late hours I loved running at night (I also lived in a pretty safe city...now I get nervous running on my own at night:/).

Hahahhaa- watermelon melts your heart- love it! It melts mine too, especially if it is sweet. I'm wondering if it is ideal watermelon time yet...that is one of my favorite parts of summer!! :)
I HAVE to ask- where (if you know) are the pictures of the flowers behind the tv from?? I LOVE them. They almost look like sunflowers- but I think they are daisies?? They are sooooo cute- I would love them for our house!
If you know- please let me know! I will be forever grateful :)
