Weird Human Tricks.

I am sharing something very personal with you today.

My sister and I have some special talents.  It took 6 months of dating Billy before I shared this with him, so you should feel privileged.

P.S. My sister and I do have the same dad even though our skin colors may tell you otherwise.

IMG_4275.JPG

Hopefully the kids at Claybourne's school don't see the above picture......he may get a swirly.

The Superman (see below) is something we have worked on since I was 2 and she was 9.  I think we have mastered it.  You can't see but my toes are pointed to perfection. It is all about technique.

IMG_4281.JPG

This is our levitation move.  This is the most core work I have done for a month.  We didn't even plan to do the exact same facial expression.

IMG_4215.JPG

Our wrists started getting tired so we had to tape them. Injury prevention.

IMG_4248.JPG

IMG_4269.JPG

Don't make fun of the hole in Rachelle's sock...she was embarrassed but I told her that people wouldn't even notice because they would be in awe of her form.

IMG_4257.JPG

If you can't tell our thumbs are going the wrong way.

IMG_4260.JPG

We held this for at least 30 seconds.  I don't have to do weights all week now.

IMG_4241.JPG

Sadey knew I was tired after all of that and gave me a 20 minute foot massage.  Now if she would only do this after my long runs.

IMG_4206.jpg

We did fuel properly before all of these exceptional freak show activities.  BBQ chicken, rice, oranges, crescent roll and veggies.

IMG_4184.JPG

Our family does not skip dessert. Ever. Brownies and ice cream.

IMG_4188.JPG

I think last night was one of my favorite nights ever. Billy was a great photographer except when he would start laughing so hard that he would miss the perfect shot.

Hope you have an amazing Presidents Day and get an awesome workout/run in!!! LOVE YOU!!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------

WISH JULIE A HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

---------------------------------------------------------

Do you have any weird human tricks? Any suggestions of what we should attempt next?

Does your family have always have dessert at family get-togethers?

What is your President's Day workout?

13-15 miles.....that is if I am not too sore from all of the acrobatics form last night.

Would you rather have a brownie or ice cream?

-Easy question: Ice cream 100% but if I do say so myself the combination of the two is near perfection.

Ahahahaha you are so impressive! That trick on the stool seriously is amazing. I could NOT do that. I hated not having internet this weekend because it meant I couldn't read your blog! I could never choose between brownies and ice cream, I must have both. :) So glad to be reunited with your blog again!

We laways eat dessert in my family. Sometimes before lunch!
I'd choose brownies over IC but wish to have them together...

Impressive moves! I only have one trick and it is making a spectacular turtle face.

We ALWAYS have dessert. Always.

Ice cream for the win! But I agree, the brownie & ice cream combo is hard to beat.

I would choose a brownie because I get cold easily! But I do like ice cream, brownies go better with tea!
Love those poses- I used to do those at gymnastics when I was little, but don't think my spine would let me now!
I managed a 6 mile run and I felt good so I loved my workout today :)

You and your sister are so gorgeous. Seriously.

Workout for the day. May have to hit the gym during lunch and after work for 2 mini workouts. Totally slept in... and I have an appt after work. So hopefully 2 mini sessions will equal 1 decent workout. Lol.

I'm 100% for ice cream. Brownies are ok. Not my fav.

You have super human strength and should take up yoga! You'd be a master! I can fold my left ear all weird and gross. My kids call it my taco ear. Again, gross!
Today I am taking a rest day after running my first 10 miles yesterday. I think I can see a half marathon in my future. Excited and nervous!
We always have something sweet in our house to eat. I LOVE to bake. There is no substitute for the ice cream brownie combo. I'm not sure I could choose one over the other. Ice cream atop a warm brownie is heaven. Now I'm craving dessert and it's not even lunch time! Have a great Monday!

Haha!! No joke, when my husband I were dating, I made him do the superman (we called in airplane) with me. Obviously, he passed, we are married!

I got my president's day run in early this morning, just 4 miles but it was the first run since my 2nd half marathon. (and in my new shoes) felt fantastic!

I can do that thumb thing!!!!

I can also do the wiggly finger thing that used to be in the opening credits of The Cosby Show....You might be too young for that one.

My workout for today is going to be P90X Core Synergistics and P90X Cardio. That's almost 2 hours of working out. That's a lot for me. My 11 year old is going to do it with me! She'll probably have better form than me too!

How the heck can I choose????....Can I chop up the brownies and put them in the ice cream?

Love your family time and I am amazed at your superhuman powers :)

I don't have any super powers or trickiness. Lame I know!

My workout today is a 30 miles bike ride. I was hoping to get outside, but alas I will once again be riding my trainer inside, sad face.

I prefer brownies to ice cream. But fro-yo kicks brownies' butt in my book. Especially if the fro-yo is drowning in syrupy strawberries!

Happy Pres's Day!

My stupid human trick is that I can splay out my toes like fingers (they aren't even long - I have Barney Rubbel feet) and also pick stuff up off the floor with them - like clothes. My husband calls me a freak of nature and that I have monkey toes. Envy is not cute on him.

I can totally rock that first Billy Idol lip thing too.

I would pick brownies for sure. :)

At February 21, 2011 at 11:27 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I used to do all of those same tricks, but alas, I have fallen out of practice. And I never had a partner. I love how the kids are staring at you in amazement. To them you are probably better than the circus! That superman thing is really hard. We try to get people to practice that as a core strengthening exercise in Taekwondo and Jiujitsu, and it is so funny to watch.

Brownies are my favorite. Brownies with ice cream are perfection.

what THE HECK this is hands down one of the most entertaining things I have ever seen on the internet!! You guys have ag ood act. we need to get you on TV.

ahhaa, I looove this.

and that first face? that's a fave in my family as well. twinsies!

I hafta say, if the brownie is undercooked enough, I'd go for that over ice cream. but if the ice cream has crazy good toppings, I'd snag that baby.

however, all in all, I agree, the two together is perfection, brownie preferably heated up. ;)

Wow - I am truly amazed by your acrobatics. You must have super strong guns. I have no weird tricks but I wish I did. My family never skips dessert either, we were recently waiting in a consulation room for the dr. to come in and tell us how my grandma's surgery went and we completely rearranged the room so we could all sit around a table and eat the mini pie and giant whoopie cookie we brought, then we got frosting all over the doctor's table. I am resting after a race and I have a sinus infection but I have got in some serious ab work with all my coughing. And to answer your final question: BOTH. Every time. Hope you have a great run!

I would take the brownie, but only if it was BURIED in icing!

That stool trick is freaking awesome, you guys are ripped!! I don't think I can do that.

I like how the kids are watching on while you do the superman :)

I can't think of any tricks, but my husband's family seems to have this ability to "clap with one hand". They look special.

Ice Cream > Brownies unless it's a fresh warm brownie, then I'll take it with ice cream. Nothing more disappointing than a stale hard brownie.

Pres Day workout: 1 hour of spin.

I can do that with my mouth too like you and your sister. I am the only one who can do it in my family, think it's a genetic thing that only the most awesome can do :) I like candy especially some peanut butter cups on my ice creams

I love brownies and ice cream. I don't think I can choose. I prefer them together.

I am in amazement over the human tricks the both of you can do

ICE CREAM, my favorite is banana splits, I can justify the ice cream if I have a ton of fruit in it
