Three tangent Tuesday

Dinner was made possible by the parentals.  I just happened to call my mom and see what they were doing tonight and when she said Costco I may have invited myself to join them:)  I have a sixth sense about these things.

I always know when a good meal is around the corner.

I also picked up my 7 lb bag of broccoli that will be gone in approximately 3 days and more pears.  All is right in the world again.

IMG_3915.jpg

Caesar salad and ice cream are what dreams are made of.

IMG_3916.JPG

My Mom opted out of the picture tonight....I mean who doesn't love having pictures taken of themselves and put all over the internet.  Some people these days:)

Next time Mom you are in the picture....don't you want all my best friends to see how beautiful you are?!?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know what time it is.....Three Tangent Tuesday.  I would love it if you did it on your blog too.  It is a great way to be random, get to know each other and let the world now how weird you are.

1. I make brownies, cakes and cookies just to eat from the beaters.  Sure baked goods are delicious but there is nothing like staring at the beaters for ten minutes straight eating every last piece of dough.  I didn't even know he was taking the picture until after the fact.....when there is dough within 5 feet of me I have complete tunnel vision.

IMG_1839.jpg

I also spill on myself at least 3 times a day.  I wonder what color the floor was when it was my house was originally built in 1908?

2. I have to have a thick layer of lip gloss on at all times or else I go crazy. Chapstick isn't even enough.  I put it on before bed, when I get up to go potty in the night and at least 34 times throughout the day.  At the end of my first marathon I asked for my lip gloss from Billy before water or anything.  I learned my lesson and cary it with me on every run.

IMG_2800.JPG

3.  I think my brother and I look a lot alike and our sense of humor is even more alike.  He is so good to me too.  One time we went on a road trip and when I was driving he fell asleep, when he woke up we were in the wrong state.  I took a wrong turn and we ended up with a 200 mile detour.  He laughed and then we got a milkshake.  He is so chill...I LOVE IT!

IMG_3581.jpg

Who do you think is older out of my brother and me?

Do you look like your siblings?

Do you ever eat at Costco?

Tell me some tangents about yourself!!!! Pretty please....it really makes me so happy:)

Oo what lip gloss do you like?

Tangent about myself: I forgot how to ride a bike. Apparently, it is NOT just like riding a bike. Five years passed since my last ride, and now when I get on the bike, I fall over, no joke.

I make stuff to like the beaters or spoons too! I"m glad to know there's someone else like me out there. :D

I think your brother looks older.

I definitely look my sister. I get called by her name all the time. (Funny thing is...no one calls her by my name...wonder why that is)

I try to get out of my classroom early enough on Fridays to get the samples at Costco...it's a must!

Hi!
1. I'd guess that YOU are older than your bro!

2. Nah, I don't look much like my younger sister--plus she is 6 inches taller than me. I call her my "big little sister".

3. I don't have Costco membership but my parents have a Sam's club one and it's pretty similar and pretty sure they have that EXACT same ice cream and it is wonderful! They have a berry sundae one where they add loads of glorious berries on top of already delicious ice cream. Oh my goodness!

4. Tangents about myself:
I can eat my weight in popcorn and do on a regular basis. I see it as a healthy dose of fiber, not an addiction. ;) I also can't sleep with my bedroom door or closet door open. Can't eat mac n' cheese with a spoon...MUST be a fork.

Okay, and as a little disclaimer...my website is half done, but I read your blog all the time and love it! I'm a runner too. :)

Giiirl I have caught onto tangent Tuesday and I did it again today! I love another excuse to talk about my weirdness:)

Your bro looks older, slash he sounds so chill, I love guys:) Slash my sister looks more and more like me every day, it is FREAKY but I love pretending we are opposite twins! (I'm blonde and she is a brunette).

We don't have a costco, but since you talk about it all the time I want to find one! Slash I have a chopstick that I take everywhere and it is the size of a glue stick. I love it like it is my fifth appendange

Lip gloss after running & getting sweaty? Hah, gotta look good for post-race pictures.

I kinda look like my sisters. One of my sisters has red hair like me, but I look more like my other sister.

Tangent: I got lost hiking on a mountain two summers ago with a few friends. We found a shelter, called emergency, and had to come be rescued because we had no idea where we were. It was summer & warm, but it had be raining, so we all cuddled together for warmth.

I am not awake enough to think of three tangents...hmmm

I forgot to wear my engagement ring for the second day in a row. Brian is not going to like me.
I have been craving mac and cheese for weeks and just have not had time to make it! If we have a snow day tomorrow with this storm coming I may have to make some!
I am trying to figure out what speed work to do tonight at the gym but idk, its so hard to pick one!

Happy Tuesday!!

LOVE your tangent Tuesdays!

First off, I would say your brother is older than you!

Random Tangent about me: I am like Buddy the Elf when it comes to putting syrup on things. I mean, I have an unhealthy obsession. No worries though, no cavities for me with this one: I at least use sugar free.

I think your brother is older.

My brother is adopted, but we are related by blood (his biological mother is my cousin) but everyone always comments on how he looks just like our dad. It makes us giggle (since there is no actual blood relation!), and my dad gets all puffy chest and proud-like. It's adorable.

I think I may just start 3 Tangent Tuesday! After I go shower. I just got back from the gym. Blogs distract me from personal hygeine.....

I can't decide who's older. Let's go with your bro.

I like my siblings, but they live far away (my sister in CA and my brother in MI) so I don't see them very often. sad face

Love the story about your brother!! I don't really look anything like my brother but my son does!! It is SO weird. My sister and I look a lot a like though. People always thought we were twins growing up. She'd get so mad because she is 5 years older and about 7 inches shorter than me!!!

I would say you're older than your bro??? He has such a babyface! And I mean that in the nicest complimentary way ever! =)

You and your bro DO look alike! My sister, brother, and I are almost identical, but I'm 23, she's 20, and he's 16. It was rough when we were younger and people thought my sister and I were twins. I wanted to be THE oldest! :)

At February 1, 2011 at 6:52 AM , Blogger Sheanna said...

He's older? I'm probably wrong.

I still need to get a membership to Costco...I've been saying that I'll get a membership for over two years now. I just never do it.

My brother and I don't think we look alike, but we're told all the time that we do. He's such a cool guy. He's 6 1/2 years younger than me and has THE BEST sense of humor! Nothing seems to get him down. Well, except when he was over in Iraq. He missed home a lot, but he was pretty positive most of the time.

I also have to have either chapstick (preferably burt's bees lip shimmer in peony or MAC lustreglass in Love Nectar.

I'm also about to go sit in a meeting and doodle pictures. hahaaa I'm such an adult.

I literally get upset if I don't have chocolate at least once a day.
I almost never follow a recipe exactly....I start to and then begin to come up with changes as I go.
I have my very own jar of dark chocolate peanut butter. Sometimes I don't even bother eating it with a spoon, just with my finger! =P

Love your blog!!!!

My oldest younger sister and I have the same smile and similar personalities, but other than that, we don't look alike!! I've never been to a Costco!!! And a tangent about me... I like making phone calls to my family purely when I'm driving. I don't like sitting at home and talking.

haha first off I love that you posted this at 5:35AM. I was up all night thinking of new blog topics so I should have gone and posted something too ;)

I think you and your bro do look like!
My younger sister and I only look alike because of our hair color and noses..other then that we're just built differently. perhaps i'll post and see if anyone else thinks so. and I LOVE COSTCO, although I personally have eaten there, it wont stop me to go and purchase the entire store ;)

Our kitchens look identical. Our house was built in 1910..in Massachusetts of course, though. We have the same awning/cabinet thing over our toaster. The built in cabinet too (I love this--so glad that was the trend in the early 1900's!). Our kitchen is also ridiculously small while the living room is huge, and we have a single bathroom. I think all those old school qualities give it charm!

My younger sister and I look alike. So much so that when she was visiting once she bent over. My husband came up behind her and pinched her butt. The look on his face when he turned around and I was standing there was priceless.
Tangents:

I will one day live on the beach.

Your lip gloss addiction cracks me up! I put vaseline on my lips and eyelashes before bed every night. It conditions your lashes, but Billy thinks I'm crazy. My older sisters look so much alike. And I think I look like them, too, unless my hair is really blonde. But I'm kind of over the really bright blonde. It's too much of a hassle/expensive to keep up. I woke up with a swollen toe. I've never had this happen from running. Maybe I'll email you today! I'm plotting a care package for you, so I'll need your address. xo

My tangent: I can't stand having longer nails. I literally cut mine so they're just even with the top of my fingertips, and that's all the longer I can handle them! Weird, I know.
I've never been to a Costco, so I didn't know you could eat there! That must help with the "don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry" rule, eh?
Have a great day!

And i'm LOLing about you ending up in the wrong state!!!!!!!!!! That is so something I would do.

3 Tangents...I have to sleep with one foot sticking out of the covers or else I feel claustrophobic...I wave my hands around to my music when i'm running (yes, people stare at me)...I hate running bareheaded. I have to wear a hat!!

What have you been up to?" and I seriously respond as though I'm actually her, I don't bother correcting them. She does the same thing, haha is that weird? We probably should start correcting people. He looks older but I say you are the older one.

I have a brother who is 16 mos younger then me, we do look alike I think except I am blond-blue eyes and he is all brown. everyone thinks he is older.

tangents

I got my drivers license when I was 25...only because my brother signed me up for classes without telling me.

I avoided the California Freeways for the first year I lived here.

Why is Michelle STILL on the Bachelor? I was screaming at the TV last night. That girl needs help big time.

hahah...love the lip gloss thing. My sisters are like that with chapstick. So funny! I've joined in on the three tangent tuesday madness, and let's just say, it's a good time.

I look sort of like my siblings, but I'm the only one with blonde hair. Straaange.

When I had a costco membership, Luke and I would sometimes order the pizza. It was so big! haha

Love reading your tangents. I took your lead and did three on my blog but focussed on three random jobs that I had in my younger years. It was fun to think back to those days. Thanks for the ideas.

I too have a brother (and a sister). I now have three girls of my own and even though we are done having kids I kind of wish they had a brother. Life is different growing up with a brother, isn't it?

Keep blogging, it's one of the highlights of my day. You and Billy are super cute!

I kind of want to copy you and do this on my blog!! Anywho...that's hilarious that you ended up in the wrong state. That would totally happen to me. (I have no sense of direction!) I love the yogurt swirl from Costco! YUM!

I could live at costco if it were constructive to my marriage :)

I'm going to say your brother is younger...just because I think it is a trick question.

and I did it. I created a 3 tangent tuesday post and took the challenge!

I am SO like that with vaseline and my lips! I have a little squeeze tube that I carry with me on my runs!
I think out of you and your bro and you are older.
I have 2 older brothers, and the younger of the two and I look a LOT a like.
No Costco but I do go fill up on the samples at Sam's with fair frequency. =)
I love you Tueday tangents, off to go do one on my blog!

I think your trying to trick us so i'm going to guess you are older ;)

1.I am moving to China (from Florida) in 18 days for a study abroad.
2. My favorite movie theather snack is a 8 pound bag of red grapes ;)
3. I can't go to any store (or grocery store) without buying something for someone else. My friends say I'm like a grandma because I always give everyone treats.

Oh gawd i have to agree with you...the best part of baking is the raw dough. SOOOO awesome.

People used to not believe my sister and I were related, but now they say we look like twins! I LOVE costco and bake mainly for the batter as well - its a standing rule in my house not to clean any sort of dessert cooking apparatus until I've licked it. This is my first time so I posted my three tangents on my blog, not sure if I this is the right format?

I like my siblings when they're likeable. There's five of us so one is bound to annoy you. I'm pretty much the best though which means it's only logical that I would find them bothersome. Just kidding. Sort of?
I've never been to Costco. This is a life goal of mine. I'm also a certified taste-tester when it comes to batter and frosting. My mom even told me so.
PS. True Life: I'm addicted to chapstick.

LOVE your blog girlfriend! you have such a fun writing voice.

i was an OOOPS baby and my only sister is 11 years older than me. she's like the cool second mom that has always been the voice of reason and giver of advice. she's super special. on another note, we don't have a cosco in our corner of iowa and it's devastating!

yes, I have eaten at costco. I like their pizza, the one that has everything on it (supreme?). their polish sausages are not bad either :)
and of course I always eat the samples, particularly when they are giving away cheese and crackers or granola mix.

I think your brother is older. I'm a twin, but we don't look that much alike :)

tangent: no matter how busy I am at work, I always find a way to read blogs... not great for the productivity but excellent for overall well-being

I try "not" to eat at Costco unless I'm craving for some pizza. I must admit they have cheap, yummy food but after paying I rush my cart out the door so I won't be tempted. If I was still in my twenties, I'd probably be there every weekend, LOL!

1. When baking the already sliced cookies (slice and bake) I have to eat at least one raw!!
2. I get up at 4:30 three mornings a week to run and usually pray on my way home!
3. I love gumballs. I chew them all the time. Especially when I'm hungry and want to snack, snack, snack!!

I know everyone is going to be like OMG, ME TOO, but seriously Janae, OMG ME TOOOOO!

for these reasons: 1) my favorite foods are uncooked. I will always prefer raw cookie dough and pancake batter and bread dough to the cooked product.
2) 20% of food ends up in my mouth, the rest on the floor and my shirt (especially the sleeve area).
3) I wake up to pee 3-5 times a night, and put chapstick on each time.
