GIVEAWAY

So, I kind of feel a deja-vu with this post. I was the kid in Elementary school that had to bribe the other kids to be my friend and to sit next to me at lunch by giving them my chocolate milk, fruit roll-up and Pogs.

I am just kidding partly.  I really just wanted to share with YOU some of my favorite running gear.  I wanted to give away my favorite brand of running shoes, vibrams a treadmill and some Nike Tempo shorts but Billy said no...... something about teachers salaries being crappy and the fact that I spend 30 dollars on produce a week put a damper on things.  So these will have to do:)

My Favorites:

Skull Candy Headphones:  They stay in your ears better than the lame-o ipod headphones and they play Linkin Park so loud you will want to run a 5 minute mile.

Socks: These suckers have arch support, they are dri-fit, there are 3-pairs and they come in cute colors.

Shock Blocks Strawberry: They taste like candy and they are quickly and easily digested.  I feel a surge of energy within 1 minute.  Placebo Effect, I think so.

Water Bottle:  Keeps my agua frio.  Plus, its cute and that's all that matters in life right?

Trident Gum:  I always chew gum as I run! Bad habit, maybe.  Lack of gu breath, worth it.

Power Bar Energy Blasts:  They are just like fruit snacks but injected with electrolytes.

Plus..... drum roll....... a really cute hand-made card from me.  Don't everyone jump up at once.  Maybe Billy can even sign it.

1. Endorphins--I know you feel me on this...after a long day with kids, nothing beats the feeling of a good hard workout!
2. Weight maintenance--I lost about 25 lbs. right after college. (I guess I spent 4 years not knowing that alcohol had calories...) Much of that weight loss was due to running. Without it, I wouldn't have lost that last 5 or 7 pounds.
3. So I can enjoy what I eat and not feel guilty about indulging every once in a while :)

Oooh I so hope I win! I really want those socks!

1)to feel the kill!=The best feeling in the world is POST HARD-as-HELL workout, and knowing I pushed myself beyond the edge!

I work out because:

1. I always feel great after
2. Setting then accomplishing a goal is rewarding, running isn't easy for me but I feel like I have accomplished something when I do it and push myself.
3. I have a fear of getting old and fat. ;) Ok but really, when I have kids, I want to be a healthy and active mom.

Umm...I LOVE all of those things, and of course I posted a link. Duh.

I workout because (1) It's my stress reliever. (2) It's who I am. My day doesn't feel right if I don't get a good sweat in. (3) I know the bazillion positive effects it has on us, and I feel better inside and out when I do.

I workout more than some and less than others, but for me it is about...
-Staying sane and warding off the stress
-to stay in my skinny jeans. I used to tell myself "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" but that is SO not true, so I just run more :)
-Because its fun and occupies my time. It is much more satisfying that sitting on my butt watching tv all night, so might as well get moving and have something to show for it!

3 reasons why I exercise:

Lose weight after gaining so much from my surgery. To gain muscle back in my pathetic excuse for a leg. And to de-stressify my life! Time to take some ME time! I love nature and I need it to feel whole with myself. :) (Hiking/trail running is my favorite form of exercising)

I work out (well, I run) because:

1. It keeps me from going crazy from being cooped up all day!

2. It makes me a much better goalie, and I love being the backbone of my hockey/ringette teams

3. I love testing to see how well I can do; if I can run faster than I did the previous day, or further, or get ahead of that other runner who has no idea I'm competing with them :)

I love to exercise: Well that is such an easy question.

1. I love the way i feel and I love to change what I do with my exercise.

2. I have been running again becasue my wonderful sister has lost over 60 lbs starting a minute at a time and now she keeps me running 10 miles every Sat.

Why I workout:

1. I run because I don't consider it "exercise"...it's fun and I love to do it.
2. Because runners are the best people I know and it's a big social event for me!
3. It makes me feel good....and I can eat whatever I want! :)

I work out:

1) Because it's my time to listen to the songs on my ipod as loud as I want without worrying I'm going to corrupt my 18 month old son.
2) Because even if everything else in life seems out of control, I feel like I've accomplished something after a work out.
3) Because I love to eat way too much and I would be in big trouble if I didn't work out!

i workout because...

1. My day always seems to run sooo much smoother after I run.
2. I have never been much of a runner, but running one more mile every single time I run and accomplishing my goal is so empowering. I feel like I have accomplished something when I do it and push myself.
3. I don't have any kids quite yet, but when I do...I want to be the best healthiest, happiest mom I can be...b/c not only do I deserve it, but so do they!
