You know you need a vacation when......

People ask you if you are on your way to the hospital because of the three tumors that have appeared on your face overnight (and this picutre is with cover-up and bronzer on those suckers).

Photo 13

or maybe you may know it is time to get away when you realize that there is an open container of frosting with you at all times whether in the passenger seat, your purse or on the night stand that is probably what caused the three tumors.

Photo 14

Maybe it is time to get away when you see that your clothes rack looks like you no longer have arms to hang things up but in reality it is just because I don't know how to be responsible and put my clothes away.

Photo 15

I think my sister noticed these warning signs because she surpised me by telling me she is taking me to St. George (4 hours south and a lot warmer than here) in the morning for a girls trip.  I squealed.  Her hubby is taking care of the kids and we are going to be able to swim, lay out, shop, eat lots of yummy foods and stay up late watching MTV, TLC and the Food Network.

Don't worry too much....I will still be blogging (I know you were getting anxiety over not being able to feel better about yourself and a little bit more normal each day after reading how crazy/creepy/weird I am;)

This morning was great and I was able to teach a stellar spin class (even though I am a gimp, I can still yell at them to go faster) and after class a chest and back lifting session.

Push-up update: 4 sets of 11.  I am already feeling those babies and it feels SO good to be sore!!!

Spin Playlist:

1. Gettin Over You by David Guetta

2. Good Girls Go Bad by Cobra Starship

3. Price Tag by Jessie J

4. I need a Doctor by Eminem

5. Showndown by Black Eyed Peas

6. Yeah 3X by Chris Brown

7.  Break it Off by Rhiana and Sean Paul

8. Like a G6 by Far East Movement

9.  Coming Home by P Diddy

10.  Live your Life by T.I.

11. Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida

12. All I Ever Wanted by Base Hunters

Il 570xN 234267944

Do you think this should be my new theme in life?!?!  I couldn't agree with it more!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you agree with my poster above or what would you change ice cream with to complete the sentence?

-Shoes, skittles, yogurtland and running clothes.

Do you like feeling sore?

-OH YEAH.....I love being reminded all day long that I PUSHED myself during my workout.  Stress fractures on the other hand...not so much:)

What is your favorite song currently (not your all time fave just one you are really diggin' right now!!!

-The Show Goes On by Lupe Fiasco.....PERFECT for whats going on right now:)

Newest thing on the good ol' blog for the next 26 days.......What are your favorite things that start with the Letter A?

-Apples, apple pie, avocado and almond butter (crap, why do I always think of food things first).

1. LOVE the poster! Can you believe I didn't use to really care much about ice cream?? But then I got pregnant and everything changed!!

2. I like feeling sore as long as it doesn't keep me from my next workout. Like right now I KNOW my legs are toast from lots of activity this last week, but I REALLY want to have a leg day today in the weight room before my swim.

3. Favorite song right now? I'm going to say the one I was unconsciously humming this morning. My 6 y/o informed me it was a Big Time Rush song from Nickelodien.

4. My husband, Mr. "A"rts.

I am a nurse and although I don't know much about orthopedic injuries I can't help but wonder what your actual treatment is for your stress fracture besides not doing any high impact activity on your leg. I have seen other people with stress fractures walk with crutches for several weeks because any impact could have an effect on healing of the stress fracture, so I'm curious if it's a difference in the MD that is treating the fracture or where the fracture is located. Either way I know an injury no matter how seemingly trivial can really mess with your head and I think you are doing an awesome job staying positive and making attainable goals like your push-up goal. You are a great example!!

You should get someone to turn that poster into a shirt! So funny - I bought new running shorts the other day and my husband told me the most awfulest thing in the whole wide world...He said...

"Sweetie, I think you have enough clothes."
I nearly stroked out. For sure I had an anxiety attack, and I may or may not have thrown myself on the ground crying out for my mommy. Anyway, I think he was referring to the fact that our closet and dresser looks a lot like the picture above! Who knew a 1 bedroom apartment closet couldn't hold enough clothes as a walk in? News to me.

SO I was watching an infomercial for an at-home spin bike program, where you have the spin bike & you pop in a DVD and I was thinking about how FUN it would be if you taped a spin workout, then put it on Youtube.

Of course, this would mean I would have to find a Spin bike. And put it in my living room.

BUT! The thought of this makes me happy, even though it's just my imagination! :)

I ran with a group yesterday and we went on a really hilly route and now I have this weird muscle in my leg that hurts.

But it hurts in a good way, I'm just trying to roll it out.

A few years ago, I totally would have agreed with the ice cream sentiment.. but now that I hit my mid twenties and my metabolism slowed down like crazy, eating lots of ice cream makes me feel guilty because I KNOW I'm going to see it on my tummy :( No fun.
