Date Night with the Jacob's (2 years later and that still sounds weird).

Oh, yes we did.

IMG 5654

Cafe Rio I owe you for the many afternoons and nights that you have strengthened me and B-dawgs marriage through providing us our favorite meal to have a good conversation over.

Most people share these salads.  We do not.  It is mine and I will probably bite your hand off if you come within 2 feet of me and my salad.  For future reference if we ever go out to Cafe Rio together do not ask, "Can I just have one bite."  I would rather give you $8 to go buy your own.

Honesty is key in friendships and I feel so much better that we have gotten that out of the way.

IMG 5655

After dinner we (along with the rest of Provo) went to Walmart to pick up the essentials for dinner tomorrow night......chocolate chips, oreos, flour, a windshield repair kit (long story) and Hawaiian sweet rolls.   We are in charge of rolls and dessert prepared to drool tomorrow majorly.

My brother that goes to ASU law school and his wife decided at 10 a.m. this morning that they wanted to fly to Utah for Easter.  The beauties of having a brother that is a pilot with buddy passes.  They wanted to go to Yogurtland tonight.  Even though I really don't like sugar bowls of happiness, we met up with them and they forced me to get pb and devils food cake fro-yo topped with marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs.

IMG 5657

You need to meet the hungryrunnerbrother, he had us laughing so hard that I forgot to take a group shot.

How did I forget to document every second of my life last night?  I partly blame Billy for this.....he reminds me when I start face planting into my delicious food to take a picture of it first but then I remind him I will probably be hungry again in 20 minutes and that I can just take a picture of that instead.

To replace the group shot around the white Yogurtland table I will provide you a picture of them on their wedding day.  I don't think I have told you this (okay, maybe only 17 times) but I set them up.......they will forever owe me.

and that is the story of the night before Easter.

What are your Easter plans?

-Sleep in, make dessert, consider taking a shower but instead stalk blogs, Churchola, EASTER EGG HUNT (I am nervous I am going to reinjure myself....I get a little competitive) and dinner at mis parentals.

Do you fly a lot?  Do you like flying?

-We need to take advantage of buddy passes more often but I LOVE flying, minus the part when you take off and my nails dig into Billy's skin.

What is one meal that you refuse to share because you love it that much?  (Please help me feel less alone/selfish in this area).

aww love this girl! I NEED to find a Yogurtland place because all your amazing desserts just sounds super yummy! I do like to fly actually but I just get nervous when we have turbulence..and so does my tummy!

I love to fly--it doesn't really bother me and I sleep really well on planes for some reason? Plus I bring along a pound of snacks so that keeps me busy!
Easter plans are fuzzy since there's no family around--hubs and I will hit up the gym and then spend some time outside--it's gorgeous here!

That's totally okay- I am NOT a food sharer. My friends call me The Joey ("Joey doesn't share foo!!") because when it comes to food I am the least generous person ever. It's okay- my pastor is working on it with me:)

And WHAT?! pb and devils food cake fro-yo?! I didn't know flavours like that even EXISTED!!

I love this post, two of my favorite things, Cafe Rio and Yogurtland! I really think we would be best friends if we lived closer! Haha! So, do you have any other brothers in AZ that you want to set up, because i'm definitely moving there in 2 months! ;) ;) Kidding...kind of!

I definitely don't love to fly.. but I love to travel, so I get over myself and just grip the seat handles.

I definitely don't like sharing my candy when I'm working. Candy helps me get through 12 grueling hours in the ER and I need every last piece!!

Happy Easter! Sound like you're going to have a good day. The only food I'm selfish with is breakfast. Touch my breakfast and bad things happen, haha.

Im sooo not a food sharer. If i go to the kitchen to get something, i make W pinky promise not to eat my food. Ok not really but i should ;)

Happy easter sweet girl!

Ha! I love your comment about giving them $8 to go buy their own. I feel that way about just about everything! I'm bad, bad, bad at sharing food.

Easter will definitely consist of eating way too many of the strawberry cupcakes I made yesterday! And some cadbury chocolate :)

Happy Easter!

Ha I try and be a food sharer but with breakfast all mine all the time. I have my breakfast perfectly proportioned out so that it keeps my tummy full and I am weird in that missing in a bite will make me starving in five seconds.

Happy Easter!

OH, flying is a funny story! I fly a couple times a year but a few years back when my husband I were coming back from Vegas I had a total freak out. Ever since then I still fly but I HATE turbulance. It's pretty funny really!

Hey, did you say that you're running NYC in Nov?? I hope I get in! We could meet up!?

I'm new to your blog but like what I've seen. Hope you'll stop by and visit my brand new blog. I can use all the inspiration I can get. I am also originally from Utah, so I totally get your Cafe Rio Addiction. :)

i'm more of the moocher! haha. I don't share my salads either, or my gum. Weird I know. But my poor hubs will let me mooch off him anyday. such a good guy!

I had a yogurtland dream last night. There isn't one close, and I haven't been since I was in Hawaii. :(
Miss me some good sauce.

Janae you are sooo cute!! Our Easter plans are so lame since we just moved away from all our family :( its our first holiday all alone and I wasn't expecting to feel this sad. I am a big food sharer, but my hubby HATES when I take food off his plate. Somehow though his food always looks way better than mine.

I have never flown on a commercial plane! Mike took me on my first plane ride ever for our first anniversary together and I just about cried!!

And I refuse to share my ice cream. Like serious death eyes and punches if you come close to it.

My Easter plans included a beautiful 10 mile run, and coming up will be coffee, a bike ride, cleaning, grad work, then having my fellow Jewish friend over for wine and Mexican lasagna (corn tortillas instead of noodles = thumbs up for passover). I love how much you love your in laws! So I have a serious problem with not sharing, like even when I tell my husband to try something he refuses out of fear. I actually couldn't think of a meal that I WOULD share, unless of course it sucked. And dessert - um I will cause physical harm to someone for attempting to touch mine. I'm really glad I'm not the only one, but food is too delicious to even give up one bite. And I love flying - I ran at the airport yesterday and wanted all the planes to take me away! Happy Easter, have fun tonight!

I do not share my ice cream. Seriously, get your own! :-)

I don't like flying just because it's such a hassle, but I love to travel.

We hung out with my family for Easter last night and are going to the in-laws for dinner tonight. There will be an ice cream sundae bar. Can.Not.Wait!!

You're a little saint...setting up marriages, inspiring runners, making everyone love you to pieces...

I oughtta warn you I "borrowed" a picture of you from your blog for a fun post I recently did. I'll take it down if you're bothered!

ANYONE WHO HAS EVER EATEN A CAFE RIO SALAD CANNOT SHARE WITH ANOTHER! seriously- after living in Dallas for 4 years, I am SO freaking excited to rage on that salad. I also refuse to share my Costco yogurt- yep that's the yogurt I crave. I also refuse to share any of my broccoli- it's MINE. (I'm going to make such as great wife)

At April 24, 2011 at 10:05 AM , Blogger Angie said...

I don't eat french fries or canoli very often but when I do I don't share either!

At April 24, 2011 at 10:29 AM , Blogger Meghan said...

Easter plans - nothing! I'm in san diego and driving back home by myself - had to drop the boyfriend at the airport last night. When i get home - my parents are not there! so no big plans today.

I fly a few times a year, but I really don't like it. But, I've figured out that it's actually that I don't like being crowded around people and all the logistics.

Oh man - I hate sharing food. I'd probably say a really great big salad that I made for myself. I wouldn't want to share that.

I've been reading your blog for a short while now and I love your positive attitude and quirky ways. Keep smiling!

As a pilot myself,I LOVE to fly. Live for it, in fact. I got my license at 18 and Im 21 now, working on becoming an instructor so i can teach people how to fly. Does your brother fly for an airline? I dont plan on ever going that route, but I am at school right now for air traffic control.. don't worry, I'm prepared to stay awake :) Anyways, love your blog and keep it up!

LOL… I get like that with sushi and dessert. I did the bite-your-hand off thing with a group of friends once when we went out for sushi. I tried to explain, but I think one of them was seriously offended :(

LOVE.2.FLY. I would travel all the time if my wallet would let me.

The pic of you protecting YOUR salad is fantastic :)

The kids did an egg hunt…videoed of course ;-) That is sort of the extent of our Easter festivities. Hope your Easter is wonderful :)

I LOVE flying.. it's so exciting.

Ummm so I have a beef with your blog. Every time you post a photo of Yogurtland, I cry a little inside... I live in WI and we have no such deliciousness here. No froyo of any kind. Sigh.

Happy Easter girly!

I loathe flying. It's just such a hassle and I've always gotten molested at security. I might like it better if I could do it for free, though!

For Easter we went to church and had brunch with my mom. I've been working on a paper and watching tv since she left. Oh, and consuming obscene amounts of sugar. My name is Sarah, and I am a sugar addict.

I absolutely will not share my crab rangoon at out favorite Chinese place. It really bothers my husband, but they are amazing and he can get his own freaking order if he wants a bite that badly. So, no, you are not alone at all.

devils food yogurt? I want!

For Easter we went to church and then to my parents' for brunch. Now we're back home and I just finished mopping the floors. My life is so glamourous!

I am late to comment and I have never commented before but I felt the need. Good questions :)

A: I love to fly. No fear. Love adventure.

B: Outback grilled shrimp. I order two appetizers and a piece of cheesecake and that's my dinner. I'll share the cheesecake but if you want shrimp...please order your own. It's too yummy.

I LOVE flying. I don't have any flights booked right now and it's making me very anxious. I usually fly twice a week for work.
