Foodie Family

I vote that every day of work is a half day.  We met up with the party-animal Jacob's Familia and headed over to the Creamery on Ninth (BYU's ice cream/hang out parlor).

I got a heavenly Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich (I guess the one inch piece of pineapple constitutes it as a Hawaiian sandwich).  The winner of the meal was the soft fluffy bun...... pretty sure I could put every meal I eat inside that bun and be happy for the rest of my life.

IMG 5503

Reason #4235 I married Billy.....the Jacobs Family are foodies too (okay, let's be honest you know that this reason is in my top 10).

IMG 5504

I am weird and anytime I go to eat with more than 4 people I LOVE to have a circular table/booth because I want to see everyone at once.  No me gusta trying to lean across the table to hear what the other side of the table is talking about.

IMG 5506

Dessert is a complete must when we are together.

For some reason I felt the need to be shy in this picture or I am just trying to see how hard I can squeeze BIlly before I realize that I am acting like a five year old.

IMG 5507

I think that banana split could eat you gma Jacobs.

IMG 5509

Time to get back to the party.  We are chopping up fruit and veggies for the bro's graduation party tomorrow.  After that we are going to get bundled up for Billster's baseball games....wish him luck.....he reads all the comments too:)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you like banana splits?

-I am not even going to answer this one....if you don't know the answer, I don't know if we can be friends.  Billy's biggest flaw is that he doesn't like bananas and yes, I have actually gotten mad at him because of this weird quirk.

Do you speak any other languages?

-You may have noticed that I threw in a few Spanish words.......I am pretty much fluent.....3 years of Spanish in Jr. High will do that to you.

Are you shy or outgoing?

-I think I am outgoing to a fault and people wonder why a complete stranger is telling them their life story and for their advice about life-altering questions.

I got about halfway through the Spanish Rosetta Stone CDs before we went to Cabo last year. I actually got pretty dang good at it! I was SHOCKED at how much I was able to use and understand while in Mexico. Then we came home and I kind of lost interest. I haven't used the CDs since. And probably won't until we plan another vacation south of the border.

The amount of ice cream you eat amazes me. I love bananas and I love ice cream but not a HUGE fan of banana splits...weird, right? I think it might be too complicated a dessert for me to handle! ha

I speak a little broken Italian to communicate with the grandparentals. They're off the boat so you know...non parlano Inglese. I suck at it but they get me 90% of the time!

I've never actually eaten at the Creamery, just had the ice cream! I married into a foodie family as well and I love it. However I usually eat myself sick every time we get together.

Good luck Billster!

Anything banana -- split, creme pie, cake, candy...SOLD!

I need Rosette Stone! They advertise on my Pandora about 70 trillion times a day and i'm about to take them up on the offer so I am longer so broken in Spanish. Too much time having fun in college and not learning mi espanol!

I think the real world has made me less shy. I definitely enjoy my "me" time but also HAVE to gab my friends ears off at least 1 hour a day!

My family is full of foodies too! I am really super social so I prefer round tables too! I want to have one big convo and its so much easier! I've never been a big banana split fan. I use to be fluent in American Sign Language I took it all the way through ASL 6 and I wanted to be a translator but life got in the way of school. I am not fluent anymore it really takes using it to remember it!

So you are the person who tells me their life story in the grocery store line....I am one of those people who is spoken to A LOT in lines...and I am actually socially awkward/disaster idk if that counts as SHY LOL!

Where can you go to get fries in party hats? Those look delicious!

I speak spanish and took latin for a few years. It was an immersion class, so we had to speak it. Yep I can speak a dead language!

Outgoing or shy depends on the circumstance.

I loveee ice cream, but am not a big fan of banana splits! :(

I would usually consider myself shy, but most people (friends, family, and coworkers) tell me this isn't true at all-- or at least my shyness doesn't last too often!

I don't like bananas either...Ok, I like banana bread and dried bananas, but not "real" bananas. I like all the other ingredients in the banana split though! :D
I took Spanish in high school but don't use it very often so I've forgotten a lot.
I guess I'd say I'm pretty shy. I wish I wasn't sometimes.
Good luck to Billy!

Circular tables are a must! I hate being out of the loop of the other side of the table's conversations - I just want to talk to everyone!
I'd love to be fluent in something, but the only spanish I know is basics from high school.

Best to Bill :)

Yum to banana splits.
I can speak lame French, lamer Italian, lamest Spanish and off-the-charts lame German.
I am outgoing but off-putting, I think. Today in Target I tried to strike up a conversation with two other moms... actually one of them did the initial striking... but the other was a total sourpuss and wouldn't give an inch :(

Tiny Grandma behind the huge banana split is so cute!!!!

I took 4+ years of German, and only remember bits and pieces. I doubt I could put together more than a 3-word sentence if you paid me!

I'm really shy and awkward when I first meet people, but once you get to know me, I never shut up :)

I love banana splits!! It's a flavor party in your mouth :) Especially with crunchy walnuts on top.

My boyfriend's pretty weird about bananas too. He only likes the under-ripe ones that have a little green on the ends. But I love over-ripe ones with brown spots on the skins. It's sweeter that way!

Looks like you're having a great time!! Good luck to Billy in his game!!

I don't know if I've ever really had a banana split... hmm.

I took 2 years of Spanish in high school and 2 years in college. I know enough that I could probably get around in a Spanish speaking country because I know how to say "bathroom," "hamburger," "beer," and "water." That's all I need.

I can be shy but once I know people I am VERY outgoing.
