Cookbooks and Chocolate Covered Raisins

We went to Harry Potter.

I only dozed off once for a few minutes during the movie.  It was the 5 p.m. showing.  I don't know what my problem is.  Pretty sure I have slept through the majority of each Harry Potter movie.

Billy's family and I met up with my family at our favorite spot.  I am telling you Cafe Rio is crack to me.

I wish I could tell you that I branched out and tried something new but I went with grilled chicken, pico and salsa. Amazing, now I have a leftover tortilla for tomorrow.   I also had some of my mother-in-laws tortilla soup.

Conveniently there is a frozen yogurt shop right next door.  They had the football game playing and the girls gossiped and ate ice cream.  Does it get any better than that?

It is now 12:46 a.m. and I just finished making my spin playlist for tomorrow (I mean today) morning and I am now eating chocolate-covered raisins and reading a new cookbook (free from Costco).  That is completely normal right.

Do you ever fall asleep at the movies or am I just ninety years old?

-85% of movies I fall asleep in.  Should I get checked for narcolepsy?

Do you enjoy looking through cookbooks?

-I have read more cookbooks than normal books and I am not proud to admit that.

I lovelove reading cookbooks. I especially like the ones with pretty pictures- they make me extra hungry (like I need that...) A new cookbook was my one black Friday purchase and I can't wait to test drive some of the recepies.
BTW- I always fall asleep during movies that I watch at home- not usually i the theater.
I did once fall asleep at Disney in "Sounds Dangerous" which mostly just sounded dark and relaxing... ZzzzzzzzZz

I've only fallen asleep at the theater a few times. Usually I can stay awake though. At home, forget about it, I almost always fall asleep!

I only saw one Harry Potter movie, and I completely fell asleep in it! I can stay awake through most other movies, though.

I love to read, but cookbooks interest me more than any other type of book! Whenever I get a new cookbook, I will read it from cover to cover without putting it down. :)

Dave and I are hoping to get to Harry Potter here soon. I'm more of a car sleeper than a movie sleeper. My mom, however, always sleeps during movies. So maybe you're not 90... maybe more like 52.

Dammit. How did I miss the free Costco book? I get one every year. But when I was there this week. None. Consider yourself lucky. Cookbooks and choc raisins in the middle of the night is def the way to go.

i'm ok with falling asleep in my house while watching a dvd...but i hate it when i do it in the theater. like on our first anniversary when we were recreating all the dates from the first week we met...one of them was watching a movie, and i totally fell asleep. too bad it was the newer james bond movie and i slept through the part that connected all the dots, so by the end i was super confused/bored. mr. dawn LOVED the movie and i had no idea why...ah such is life...

I always blamed falling asleep in movies as being hereditary and that was my excuse. But now I know it's not just me and the reason is probably because we are such nice wives and always accompany our husbands to their action/war/suspense movies and we can't help but get tired of it 5 minutes into the movie :) And yes I think you know I love looking through cookbooks. Hah that's all i did the other night at your house

I'm beginning to think you own stock in Cafe Rio....just saying.

I don't ever fall asleep in movies...probably because I rarely go to them so they're movies I generally REALLY want to see.

I fall asleep in movies, too. It's totally cool. As long as you have friends to wake you up for anything that might be important.

And I LOVE looking through cookbooks. I frequently reread the seven or so that I have and it never gets old. Supplemented, of course, with the fliers from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's that have recipes using what's on sale that week. Those are good, too. :)

Well, I used to read books until the internet got so popular. Now I'm addicted to the internet. Blogs in particular. Yours is no exception ;)

I really think you need to invest in some Geritol. You are showing your age falling asleep in movies, granny!!

I used to always fall asleep during movies so we stopped going and only rented them. Now I just fall asleep on my couch, but it costs less! :)

Ha! I have totally fallen asleep at some point during most (if not all) Harry Potter movies. I only went to one midnight showing, so I can't blame it on that.

I also fall asleep at home while watching movies, especially if hubby feels the need to turn off the lights to prevent any "glare" on the tv. I warn him that if he turns the light off, I can't promise I'll be awake for the whole movie!

Slept through a couple parts of Avatar most recently. Though I'm not sure the plot was all that awesome.
