Happy National Running Day.

I decided to postpone celebrating National Running Day until tomorrow.  (Okay, I actually had to force myself to not run because I was starting to make exceptions to the 'running every other day' rule because it is a national holiday!  I guess femur recovery doesn't celebrate this holiday)

Instead I swam for 60 minutes after doing some squats and lunges.

If any goggle companies are reading this, I think it is due time for me to get some new ones:)

I had a killer swim and I think it was partly because of my kick-butt playlist.

Don't stop reading my blog because of my randomness when it comes to my music or for the fact that I post a picture of me for the world to see with a uni-boob, swim cap and yellow goggles.  I will just hurry and push publish before I realize how ridiculous that picture is.

PS  UTAH COUNTY SPINEE'S.....I just found out that Gold's added one more week of glasses!!! COME TONIGHT @ 6:30, tomorrow @ 6 a.m. and Saturday at 9:15 a.m.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How did you (are you going to) celebrate National Running Day?

-I will let you know tomorrow:)

You look awesome! Love it!

I'm celebrating by going to my first running group (so long as we don't get thunderstormed out)!

I'm also putting off the holiday until tomorrow! I'm feeling a little injury and I need time to make sure it's gonna be ok.

For me, swimming is even harder than running, and I can't imagine doing it for an hour.

I hope that your gym changes its mind on cancelling classes!

Hey girl!

Can you please do a review on your waterproof iPod holder thingy? Or at least just say yes it works? I'm a super swimma' and I've always been hesitant to invest in one bc if my iPod croaked I'd be super sad.

P.S. You are awesome. I am injured too and it's so nice to know I'm (well, and my hubby too) not the only one on this roller coaster.

Can't run :( Achilles issues big time. So I am off for at least two more weeks.

Love your enthusiasm!

I love that you have Brand New on your playlist - they're my favorite band! Fortunately they are rarely played on the radio so I'm not sick of any of their music :)

I'm coming off a two month running detox, and this is my first week back - marathon training started Monday! I'll be running tonight after work :)

I'm saving my legs for a trail run tomorrow and posting about my latest 5K instead. I love that you still listen to the Ruff Riders Anthem! That definitely takes me back to high school. :)

Celebrated with day 3 of my first week of marathon training! woo-hoo! Broke out some new shoes that have been hiding under my bed waiting till all this darn rain (or on Monday-snow! ack!) left because they are yellow and I didn't want them to get all muddy and nasty.

I assumed National Running Day meant I was supposed to run across the nation. Can I stop now? I'm getting kinda tired.

Don't worry, no one would look good in goggles! I still can't believe that golds canceled all the group fit classes! The 24 hour fitness in slc better not try to pull that!!!!!

What is this AMAZING iPod device you have for swimming and listening to music!?!? I'm a swimmer and my life is about music, but I've never been able to combine the worlds! Please share your toy!!! I'm a new blogger and I'm documenting my weightloss journey by becoming a runner. I'm pretty active but I am trying to increase my activity level! I LOVE your blog and your advice! Keep sharing :) If you ever want to check out my blog, it's whipplebabble.blogspot.com Thanks for the posts! Good luck with recovery!

For goggles, I like these http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/1131.htm

And that's after like 8 zillion hours in the pool every week. I've tried all the others. They are the best. Bonus: they come in hot pink. To match my hot pink and black suit.

Oh swimming uni-boob & ugly cap/goggle combo--sure don't miss those days!! I celebrated with an albeit horrrible, 5 mile run. But I won't complain cause I know you'd kill for a 5miler!! Soon =]

I with ya on celebrating National Running Day tomorrow, set out to run today but my legs are still stiff and sore from this weekend's past race. So instead I stuck with 30 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes of biking with a killer upper body workout.
I love your swimsuit. I have thought about swimming as a way to cross train so I ordered a suit on Amazon and it is too small grrr!!

I celebrated national running day with only a mile of sprints in between weight sets! It was gonna do a longer run outside, but I'm postponing it until tomorrow when it's not 90 degrees outside.

What do you use to listen to music while you're swimming?

The picture made me smile!!

I'm glad you got the stuff. If you need more let me know :)

I am celebrating running day by resting my legs as running in funky shoes is tiring them out faster and there are tornado warnings in my town!

I went for a 4 mile run and I am planning on going to the store to pick up a Nike Plus. I used to have one and loved it, more recently I had a Garmin but am not a huge fan of that... so until I find a new and better watch (preferably with a heart rate monitor) I'm going to go with the cheap alternative :)

Looking forward to reading your blog! :)

Some days I totally miss my old swim stuff. I have the really awkward goggles that are just small enough to fit into your eye sockets. It's a great look.

I MISSED National Running Day! hahah because of time zone differences, it was already Thursday the 2nd here by the time you posted this!

But then again, it says 'national', not INTERNATIONAL.....so maybe i can start my own day ;)

At least you don't have country music thrown in there, too... that's how mine is. Rap, hip-hop, pop, country... I also had some soundtrack music on it before I had to remake my playlists.

I think they should have moved National Running Day in honor of your green light to run again, I'm just saying...
Great to see you back in the swing of it all Janae! I missed national running day because of the time difference but I ran yesterday anyway, guess I'll have to go tomorrow in delayed celebration!

i celebrated by running. it was so muggy out that i went to the gym to run on the treadmills. i'd planned a 6 mile speed workout but got 3 calls while on the treadmill (2 from mom and 1 from dad) about tornado warnings so i left the gym early. the tornados didn't reach us, so i could have stayed longer! oh well, we're very lucky that we were all safe.
