Napping my life away.

I am really cool and right after school yesterday I went straight to my bed for a 2 hour nap while 'watching' Friend's with my eyes closed.

I am thinking about doing a series on the blog about home decorating.  If you want any tips on wood paneling and grean flowery velvet drapes, I am your woman but let me just warn you....it might be a little on the pricey side to transform your house to look like our 1908 home.

IMG 5705

I told Billy that I was just going to sleep until the morning.....that is until the sis-in-law called saying they had extra gift cards to Olive Garden and wanted to see if we cared for some buttery breadsticks and saucy noodles.

IMG 5707

That salad dressing has to be made of all sorts of artery clogging ingredients because it tastes so delicious.  I love how unhealthy we can make salads these days.  Oh, and dipping the breadsticks into more dressing makes life that much better.

I got the Chicken Parm.  I will forever love spaghetti.  No branching out for me on this one.

IMG 5711

2nd reason I am really cool: I go to restaurants in gym clothes. There was a nine o'clock yoga class I REALLY wanted to go to and I knew that if I just put my gym clothes on it would motivate me to still go to yoga after dinner rather than going back to bed.

IMG 5708

Plus, secretly I knew I would need stretchy pants after unlimited breadsticks.

So, it is my brother Dave's B-DAY (he is a pilot living in Kentucky) TODAY!!! For some reason he sent me a present for his birthday.  They are Kazoozles and I had never tried them so he figured send a crate of them to her and odds are she will love them, not share them with her husband and she will finish them off in 24 hours.

He was right.

Happy Birthday David. I LOVE you so much.  Thank you for always making me laugh (click here to see my favorite picture of him), inspiring me to run (he rocked the 400m and 800m in high school) and being such an amazing example to me.  You are awesomesauce and definitely in my top 3 favorite brothers;)

IMG 5712

My strategy worked with the whole wear gym clothes everywhere you go even if it embarrasses your husband and I made it to yoga.

Thank goodness Ash came with me......I really don't know how I lived pre-blogging friends.  Thanks girl for partying with me in yoga all the way until 10 pm-way past our bedtime!

Note to self: Olive Garden is not good fuel for yoga.

It felt so good to stretch, breath and think about thing.  I better keep all this strength training and yoga up when I am back to spending 60% of my life on the treadmill.

Don't forget to enter myGIVEAWAY.....it is the bomb.com.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How often do you stretch or go to yoga?

-I want to start going twice a weak....I felt amazing afterwards!

What is your favorite 'chain' restaurant (not fast food)?

-I LOVE Cheesecake Factory, I study their menu for at least 22 minutes before ordering.

Are you a napper?

-They are my favorite and the first month of school while adjusting from my summer routine I take a nap EVERY day.  I think my body goes into shock having to become a real person again and have a schedule!

Have an amazing WEDNESDAY and give yourself a big hug right now and pretend it is from me:)

Oh man, Olive Garden is so delicious but so bad for you! I had soup salad and breadsticks for lunch once and it turned out to be like 1000 calories! Yikes!

We don't really have a whole lot of chains here, so I'm not sure I have a favorite.

I stretch pretty much after every run. I'm starting to think i should do it on my rest days too.

I don't nap. If I do, I turn into the grinch when I wake up and no one likes me.

yes, i know, i'm a horrible movie date...my husband can't stand it.

favorite chain? hands down, bonefish grill. it's those dang bang bang shrimp that keep me going back for their naughty goodness.

I try and strecth daily and always intend to go to yoga once a week but that doesn't always happen!
I am not a napper, I think I have ADD sometimes because I can barely sit still for a few minutes! haha
Thanks for the hug!

I LOVE cheesecake factory. so tasty.

and I love naps too..except i've found that the more I nap, the more I want to nap and I end up spending all of my free time snuggled in my bed doing absolutely nothing. So now i only let myself nap when i'm sleep deprived. :/

Miss you!

I never stretch or goto yoga. I keep saying I will, I had a prenatal yoga dvd when I was pregnant, I got through 10 min, I get bored easily. Im really bad at relaxing.

I LOVE naps, everyday it's a battle between running and napping.

Cheesecake factory is the bomb, their menu is like a book!
I love carrabas too!

*HUG*!! Happy Birthday to your BRO!!

I LOVE yoga, and I think it'll really help me prevent future running injuries!! I do a class at least once a week!

P.S. Wearing workout clothes everywhere is what ALL the cool people do. I should know ;)

I'm going to have to agree with you on Cheesecake Factory! I love that their menu is like reading a BOOK! It's huge, I can never decide what I want!

I am not a napper, I wish I was. I just toss and turn, trying to sleep but my mind won't seem to ever shut up :)

I definitely need to stretch & do yoga more often. I love doing yoga but the places near my house are pretty darn expensive.

I love taking naps! I took a nice three hour one yesterday & it felt amazing :)

Olive garden is a trick.. man I ordered a spinach salad there thinking I was being light. Then I saw some article where it's one of the unhealthiest salads in any restaurant in the country or something like that. Or was that macaroni grill? I just don't know!

I'm a big napper! (just about to take one now...)

Shift work gives me lots of highs and lows throughout the day.

I like how you get super excited over stray found candy. Haha. Its one of my secret behaviours, but it's good to know there are others out there. You are too funny for sharing :)

Mmmmmm, Olive Garden. That reminds me that we still have a gift card there we haven't used! Don't think I'll go directly before yoga, though :) That's brave!

Yoga....I love yoga, I used to do it all the time (like 4 times a week!) but my PT told me that I need to do some strength training. So I have knocked it down and do it when I can't make it to the gym.

Olive Garden looked good! Though my favorite chain is Ruby Tuesday's because of their awesome salad bar! :)

I hope you are having a good day!

I wish I could do yoga twice a week. Right now I just do a DVD yoga at home once a week. I LOVE to nap as well. I work in a high school as a guidance counselor and some days I just need to detach!!!

I stretch but not as much as I should, and pretty much the same with Yoga, I hardly ever go, I should really get on that!

Fav chain restaurant... currently I would have to say J. Alexanders, everything I have ever had there is SO good. Cheesecake factory domintaes my dessert list though, I could eat cheesecake every day!

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

I sit here in my workout clothes with 'Little Mama' at my side...sick again. See, I told you with kids life gets crazy and there is no such thing as sticking to a schedule...but one can try! Instead of hitting the gym I'll have to settle for the treadmill once she's feeling better. I love yoga btw, it's hard for me to relax and get there but every time I do I'm so glad I did. It helps that my new found instructor is awesome and there's an amazing girl in the class who can do all sorts of twists that don't seem humanly possible. Have a great day and yeah, what we do to salads now day...ha!

Just did my first Yoga workout Monday night and I love it! Although my arms/shoulders are super sore!
I love Olive Garden but I would never work out afterwards, I always feel way too full! lol
Naps..only when I am extremely tired can I nap during the day.

How often do you stretch or go to yoga?

-I usually go at least once a week, sometimes twice at the gym. When my gym membership ends I have a month pass at a local studio that I scored on livingsocial. I'm not sure if I'll go after that. It's just too expensive. I love it though.

Are you a napper?
I am definitely not a napper. My mom and sister are and would always take naps on Sunday afternoons. That was the most boring part of my entire week because I was the only one up. :D

LOVE the picture of you and Ash! You two are the cutest people I know. I suck at stretching and yoga and really wish they taught a yoga class a decent hour. I thought about you as I was falling asleep last night at 9:15p.m.

Favorite chain restaurant is Chilis although I do love me some cheesecake factory. Yum!

And I am jealous that you can nap, I am a terrible napper. Have the best Wednesday ever bestest friend. :):)

I'm impressed you were up until 10! I'm not up that late.

I really came by to say that I discovered a song that I think you'll like. Ok, I admit the lyrics are funny but it's got such a great beat for running and spinning - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkVy2FeqIyc

And I LOVE PF Changs. And Karl Strauss. And Pizza Port (oooh when you come to Southern CA, you must go to Pizza Port. You will be in love)

I probably need to start going to yoga and stretching more. I used to love the cheesecake factory when I could actually eat there, but I always used to get the same thing. The Thai Lettuce Wraps. It's an appetizer but I ate it all myself. It was SOOOOOO good.

Teaching is so exhausting. I would nap EVERY single day after school. Then get up, eat some dinner, then go back to bed.
But this is from the girl that slept in on her first day of teaching elementary school AND the last day of school.
I was a really responsible teacher and my principal really liked me.

I like Panera - yum!

I am not a stretcher. I used to do Pilates & loved it, but can't quite squeeze it into my routine at the moment.

I'm not a napper. At all, unless I'm sick. I took a nap yesterday (had the flu) & I think it was my first nap in 4ish years? I don't like the way I feel when I wake up, so I try to avoid napping.

I love me some naps but only 30 minutes...any longer than that and I am so grumpy and don't want to wake up at all!
:)

I love naps when I can take them! esp. w/my hubby!! :)

Have an awesome Wednesday!! :)

LOL... you are like a prettier, married version of me when I was younger and a much more fit athlete :P This post just cracks me up.

What your decorating is missing is the burgundy plush carpeting... it makes all the difference. Goes super well with "mahogany" paneling. We found that sheets hung over the windows achieved a much more "ghetto" effect, too, than actual draperies :)

Hugging you back, girl!

I have never found the patience with yoga, I get to bored but I am always determined to keep giving it a shot.
My fav chain restaurant is Red Lobster-yum for crab legs!
I love naps, but usally try to stay away from them because it is always harder to fall asleep at night. Like you though, when coming back to school after a long summer break I always need a cat nap here and there.

I love Applebees...and as for naps, I usually nap by accident? Does that make sense at all? When I've had a hard day at work (I'm a counselor with children) I sometimes end up falling asleep for just a bit or an hour long nap ;)

I always say I'm going to do yoga more regularly...but I am bad about getting into a routine:( I wish I had a yoga buddy! I love working out with friends!

My favorite chain restaurant is Bonefish Grill. I LOVE their shrimp with mango salsa! Yummm.

I love naps, but they don't love me. I always wake up more tired/grumpy...unless I can nap for like 2-3 hours, in which case I can never get to sleep at night:(

I LOVE naps!

If I have time, it's great to squeeze one in.

Only problem is that sometimes when I go down for one, it can last hours by accident, oops!

Okay, I think there is a PROBLEM with me... I CANNOT nap! I have tried in the past and I cannot seem to fall asleep. I just seem to lay there and think what the heck am I doing, I cant sleep. (I think I might be crazy!)
Also, I do not go out to eat often I would much rather eat my moms home cooking. BUT, when I do go out to eat I usually go to "chain" restaurants like Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Cheesecake Factory, and Claim Jumper.
I also dont go to Yoga, I cannot seem to relax my mind enough to attend! :D

Ahhhh, I LOVE me some Olive Garden. AND Cheesecake Factory. Probably two of my favorites. I always order the marinara dipping sauce for my breadsticks because I try to trick myself into thinking it's better for me than extra dressing. You know...tomatoes are good for ya, right? ;)

I'm actually not a napper, but sometimes I wish I was. Unfortunately, a mid-day nap usually leaves me feeling more tired than I was to start. Ahh well!

What shoes are you wearing in that last pic? Me likey. Not usually a napper. Sometimes I'll plop down on the bed if hubs is napping on a Friday with the dog snuggled up next to him though. My eyes rarely close, I'll just play on my phone or read Runner's World or attempt the Friday WSJ Crossword.
