Top Ten.

By now you may have noticed I like top ten lists....today's is a little different.

Random, yes but isn't that why you read my blog?

Top 10 teenage boy characteristics I displayed today.

10. Acne.  I took a picture but it was gross so I will spare you this time.  You are lucky.

9. I drank straight out of the milk container.  Hopefully Billy skips this post.

8. I listened to Linkin Park while I ran.

7.  I am motivated by food.  I will do anything for a treat.

6. I didn't shower after my run this afternoon. (Don't worry Mom, I will shower in the morning)

5. I think Taylor Swift is REALLY pretty.

4. Guitar hero is a great way to spend the afternoon.

3. I think MTV is awesome.

2.  Somehow I was on ESPN's website today....that didn't last long, I don't know how that happened.

1.  I am a garbage disposal.  I ate two large breakfast burritos for dinner (eggs, zucchini, potato, tomatoes, onions and corn) with a ginormous side of broccoli and I was still really hungry afterwards.  I don't know what is wrong with me.

IMG_2737.JPG

IMG_2741.JPG

I ate a pear the size of a gopher and saltines to try and fill me up....still hungry.  I will be making my way back into the kitchen momentarily.  I am thinking yogurt or cake bites.  I think you know which one will win.

Random questions of the night.....

What time do you have to be to work/school/drop off the kids etc?

-7:45 which is actually really late for teachers.  I love it.

Love or Hate Taylor Swift?

-Obviously love.

Would you rather have horse hooves for feet or crab claws for hands?

-I need sleep obviously but I would choose horse hooves.  Think of how speedy you would be and there would be no chances of getting a foot fracture, plus it would make an awesome noise as you ran by people.

The amount of numbered posts I saw yesterday and today is off the chains! Everyone was definitely on the same wavelength - weird! :)

You were probably hungry from all that stress relieving running you did crazy girl! :)

Isn't number 7 more of a dog? LOL.

I have to be at work at 7 in the winter (where I get started then eat breakfast until about 7:30) but 5:30 in the summer- ugh!

I have zero feeling about Taylor Swift...

With all the pounding that you do as a runner you'd still be at risk for a fracture of your horse hoof (of your coffin bone, no lie) so stick with the crab claws!

And clearly your were starved because you work out for a million hours a day! Silly....

Love Taylor Swift so very much! I have to be at work at 6:00 when I work day shift, 2:00 in the afternoon the rest of the time.

Mon/Wed - at work at 10
Tues/Thurs - at work at 6
Fri - at work at 7
***Nothing like a CRAZY schedule to make it impossible to have a sleep routine.

I like Taylor Swift in a way that makes me question if its appropriate for my age (29). But i'm kinda a 15 year old girl at heart.

I'd go with horse hooves. Obviously I'd be faster. And I have a weird fear of amputations and claw hands kind of reminds me of having fingers amputated.

I have to be at work by 9:00. AM or PM depending on the week, but always 9:00.

I am not Taylor Swift's biggest fan. I don't like her eyes. They remind me of a weasel for some reason, and I just can't shake it. And I'm 50/50 on her songs. I love some pretty hardcore, and hate others just as much.

Horse hooves. What joy is there in life if you can't hold hands with the one you love??

I like number 2, but then I'm always on ESPN.com. During football season at least.

- I work at 7, makes it a little tough to train in the morning

- Taylor is ok in my books

- I would pick hooves too, and then I can have my cycling cleats put on and wouldnt have to worry about switching shoes when transitioning to the run

Hilarious...all of it. As long as you don't have the boy funky smell you should be fine!

And horse hooves? Clippity clop clippity clop clippity clop...yep, pretty sweet sound!

You crack me up!

I have to be to work by 8 am. I get up for the gym at 5 am and my classes start at 5:30.

I'm with you on the horse hooves. :)

Oh, and I found the recipe I was looking for! Now I need to go out and get some hershey kisses!

Usually my classes start 8 am or later (next semester 10 am!), but the past two days I've had 7:30 exams :(

LOVE taylor swift...I blare her CD in my car while driving and my boyfriend gets to hear my lovely singing hah

Haha you are so random but it's great!!

I have to be to work by 9:00 but I come in at 8:30 so I can leave early!

LOVE Taylor Swift! So talented!

I'd rather have horse hooves because I think I could run super fast with them.

Maybe you have a tape worm?

Drop off kids at 7:50 then it's off an running. Water running usually.

We LOVE TS around here. Saw her in concert last year. She is a big part of our family. I have a nine year old daughter, so the Taylor fun never stops around here.

Haha! This post cracked me up!

What time I have to be at school depends on what school I'm in that day. Generally, it's between 7:45-8:00.
I love Taylor Swift. I loved Taylor Swift before she was big.
I'd much rather have horse hooves. Crabs scare me because they remind me of giant spiders with body armor!

I think it's definitely your activity level causing your hunger--you work out more than anyone I've seen, and it's just your body refueling itself!

omg, loved the teenage boy list, lol! I actually just downloaded some Linkin Park because of it! They're great for running! I don't know why I don't have any of their songs in my ipod's running playlist! Thanks for the "tip" : )

According to your list I might be a teenage boy.
1. I still have Linkin Park on my playlist.
2. You can get me to do just about anything by bribing me with food.
3. I'm the 26 year old driving to school this morning jamming out to Taylor's new CD.
4. The first time I beat a song on Expert on Guitar Hero, I took a picture and had it has my screen saver for like a week. LOSER.
5. I still watch MTV faithfully. like Cutthroat/RealWorldRoadRules/FreshMeat..whateveryou want to call it.
6. I <3 ESPN.
YEP, Call me a teenage boy.

LOVE teacher hours. I don't have to be at work until 7:45 and I'm out the door by 3:45 on a good day! Not to mention in a few sweet days I will be on vacation for 2 glorious weeks.

i love that you choose hooves because of how it will sound when you pass people! you could have added competitiveness to the list :)

personally, i have a warm spot in my heart for those teenage boys. true they are misguided and hopped up on sugar most of the time, but they sure do make my job more interesting.

don't hate me, this semester i didn't have to be at school until 9! but that all changes after break. it's 7:30! ouch!

At December 14, 2010 at 8:31 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

this made me smile and laugh many times... thank you for that.

ABSOLUTELY horse hooves !! :D

At December 14, 2010 at 8:50 AM , Blogger Shannon said...

But if you had horse hooves for feet you'd have to have shoes nailed on, and you'd get crud stuck on your feet all the time.

If I always had to be at work at 7:45 I'd probably die. Seriously, I was up at 9:15 this morning. Last semester my earliest class was 7:30, it was awful. Fortunately it was only one day a week, then I had a class at 8 one day a week. This semester my earliest class was at 9:30. Usually for work I either have to be there at 1:30 or 4/4:30. Very rarely I work morning shift and have to be there at 7.

Taylor swift = major girl crush!!!

And for the last... well, hooves would be great for your reasons, but I like my shoes. hmm... i dont know!

i'm glad you think tswift is really pretty because i've been told i look like her. i'm not sure if i agree with either statement though hahh!

and i am a garbage disposal too! i'd have thought that week+ from the marathon my appetite would have gone down but NOPE hahha!

Um Taylor Swift is pretty but if she has babies with Jake G, I will cry with jealousy.

I have to leave the house by 8:15 to get to work on time (9 AM) which is actually late (should get to work at 8:30 AM). That means I have to be up by 5:30 and out the door a little before 6 AM to run or get to a class and back by 7 AM to get ready!

At December 14, 2010 at 9:33 AM , Blogger A Big Little Life said...

I think Taylor Swift is lovely. However, I don't like her with my man Jake. And definitely the horse hooves. I'm still in grad school so I usually get up and going around 8.

I get to work by 7am everyday. I like getting up early and beating the traffic. I work until about 4ish and I enjoy getting out "early" and having a lot of the day left. My work is pretty flexible which is nice.

I hope you went back to the milk carton along with those cake bites. I'm sure any teenage boy can manage to dunk them in milk without pouring a cup first ;)

At December 14, 2010 at 9:44 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I usually get my day started around 7:30 or 8:00 with a hot cup of tea! Well, in the winter anyway. Billy doesn't go to work until 9:00ish so we have a casual morning together. Definitely horse hooves!

At December 14, 2010 at 9:57 AM , Blogger Shannon said...

You may have eaten your meal and still been hungry, but I don't think a teenage boy would choose that meal! haha

I'm still in college, so my earliest class is 8 (but they video tape them and post them online). The earliest class I go to is 10 am 2 days a week. I usually wake up around 11 on the other days. I like sleep!

LOVE Taylor Swift

I would rather have horse hooves. Do you think I would run faster???

I hate that you get to go to school so late. I have to be to work at 7. Blah! I cannot wait to sleep in all Christmas break.

I think you were so hungry because you burn so many calories or maybe youre pregnant. Your body has been doing different things right? :)

I would choose crab claws. That way I don't ever have to use a can opener, I can just touch students I don't like and hurt them, I can scratch my back better, and honestly who doesn't want crabs?? (Obvious health joke!)

Can you tell it's the end of the day and I feel like it's Friday, but it's only Tuesday. What on earth!? Well I better go pretend like I am bettering myself as an educator. Or maybe I'll lay on the floor and sleep!

P.S. I have some goodies for you! I will delivering them to you tomorrow! :)

that looks really good - the burritos. Doesn't look like THAT much food. I used to have to get to work by 7:30 but I'd get in by 7 latest to get ready for the day. Now I'm up at 5 to workout and be ready for my 2 kids to wake up by 7:30/8.

I love T-Swift, her songs are amazing! My days for school vary, but I am an early riser (to which everyone I know thinks is insane), and I would definitely choose horse hooves! I think inside everyone there is a little bit of a fifteen year old boy...some of us just don't have to dig as deep to find it!
Your dinners always look SO DELICIOUS by the way.

You make me laugh! How do you come up with horse hooves or crab claws? The sound you would make thing made me really laugh! I think you're hungry because you can actually run now! Yeah! I don't have to take the kids until 8:30! Don't even get me started on our district! They suck. But even though I hate the starting and ending time it works really well for my not running in the dark.

I have to be at work at 8am, which is nice because I live 15 minutes from my office. I'm in OR right now, though, and haven't adjusted to the time, so I"m up at 4am when I have to be at the office at 8:30...it'll be an interesting day.

My mailman keeps harrassing me that I look like taylor swift (he has a little crush on me and may be delusional). I like her though. She doesn't seem hollywood insane.

Crab claws? I'd like to be able to hold things still and possibly scare the crap out of people.

I have to be to work by 7:30 on most days. I usually don't comment on people's physical appearance, but I will say Taylor Swift's curls bother me. Definately the hooves, I think I could have special shoes made to cover them up so no one would know.
