Give me my carbs now.

First off, after school I went to Costco with my mom and it was a good time.  Costco + mother time = a lil glimpse of heaven.

While driving home all I coud think about was don't get pulled over again because I don't think a cop would let me off with the excuse,
"I am so hungry and I need carbs so I am driving 20 above the speed limit.  Step away from the vehicle and nobody will get hurt."
IMG_1813.JPG

Um, speed work makes me want carbs now and obviously that makes me have greasy bangs.

I wasn't going to mess around with a salad or something silly like that.

I needed bulk and carbs and that is what I got.

I went straight to the kitchen without saying a word.

Dipped chicken in an egg wash.

Covered chicken with italian bread crumbs.

Topped with Marinera and loads of cheese.

Stuck in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cooked up some noodles and dinner was ready to be inhaled.

IMG_3618.JPG

Billy thinks it is really funny to attack my head and try to slice my eyeballs with his new remote control helicopter. I live a hard life.

IMG_3614.JPG

And no, I still haven't cleaned up yet.  Carbs, catching up on Modern Family episodes and Running come way before making sure your home is sanitary.

I literally am going to bed at 9.

What time do you go to bed every night?  Does your hubby/wife/significant other go to bed with you at the same time?

Poor Billy....I make him go to bed with me by ten every night.  He is a good sport and never complains when it is still light out, most people are eating dinner and we are getting into bed.  I have to admit on the weekends I am quite the party animal and stay up until at least eleven.

Marinera sauce or Alfredo? (Calories, fat etc don't matter in this question....we are talking only about taste mk)

-Alfredo all the way but we only had marinara sauce that I stole from my mom's food storage, it was delicious though. But if I am going to be honest about my sauce needs....PESTO is the winner.  I could guzzle that stuff.

Carbalicioussss love me my carbs, I snackety snack all night! And alfredo all the way, I love creamy goodness over red any day:)

I TRY to get in bed by ten every night, but as a student sometimes that turns into 10:30 :( Computer is always off by ten though, that's my "cut off time" :)

I try to go to bed about the same time every time too-- I think if we lived in the same time zone we'd be the ones in the neighborhood with our lights out early :)

I used to run about 4:15 in the morning, so I went to bed pretty regularly between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. Now I run more often around 5:30, meaning I get to stay up until a whopping 10:30 p.m.- but I try to spend the last 1/2 hour or so reading in bed to get good and tired!

I definitely make Mike go to bed with me. Mostly because when it's cold out I like to steal his body heat until I warm up. I go to bed pretty much at 10 every night, but it's been later the past couple of weeks. We got Apple TV for Christmas so we've been watching TV on Netflix like it's our job. Who knew there were so many good shows out there???

My husband and I go to bed at the same time every night. If one of us wants to go to bed at 9, both of us do. If one of us wants to stay up till midnight, we do that too.

I could eat pesto with a spoon. Love it beyond all measure.
Bud and I don't live together, so I go to bed whenever I want. If I work a closing shift at work, I usually make it about an hour to 11:30 before I can't stay awake. Otherwise, I'm usually in bed between 10 & 11 so I can read before going to sleep!
I probably would not make Bud go to bed with me at the same time because I need some time to read every night--no exceptions allowed. Plus, he's a big boy, and can go to bed whenever he wants. :)

Pesto is my jam! I live with my fiance, and we usually go to bed at the same time. He actually falls asleep far easier than I do, but he wakes up for work at 4:30/5 in the AMs, so I guess it makes sense...

I am in bed by 9-930 every night! David stays up as late as he wants, when he's not staying here, otherwise he is in bed same time as me. He always says he feels better when he goes to sleep earlier so it's a good thing!

I always crave carbs after a longer run! I always get up super early in the morning and love having my "alone time" then. I am in bed by 9 every night. I don't make John get in bed with me when I go to bed because he would just toss and turn until I yell at him to get up and go watch TV. :) We have such a happy marriage, don't we? His "alone time" is at night after I go to bed for an hour or so. We cannot function if we are around each other at all times, which is healthy I suppose.

You're probably wondering when we get ::ahem:: adult time - don't worry, we've got it down pat! :) (Sorry if I offended your mom.)

I would be perfectly content with going to bed every night at 9pm but living on the east coast (okay, and work schedules!) doesn't really make that work. Some of the BEST shows don't get over until 10! I try to be in bed at 10 at the latest and sleep until 7. Yes, I enjoy at least 9 hours of sleep on most nights.

Marinara all the way!

I love how you lounge out in scrub pants:) I wear scrubs to work and then just use the old ones for lounge around pants. They are quite forgiving:) My son has one of those helicopters. They're lethal!!

I don't like Alfredo-nothing to do with fat or calories, just not a fan. I LOVE pesto!

My husband is gone a lot when I go to bed. I'm working on trying to get there earlier. I can't seem to get my brain to slow down enough to let me sleep sometimes.

Man, that chicken looks good-even at 8 in the morning!

And definitely don't feel bad about going to bed at 10. If I could swing it, I totally would. I usually end up going to bed somewhere between 11 and midnight, even on the weekends.

I was in bed by ten last night, which is typically the norm. Justin wakes up a 5:30am, so he usually prefers an earlier bedtime.

I like mixing some marinara in my alfredo sauce. It makes a delicious creamy pink sauce that is amazing on all pasta. Not healthy at all but still so so good.

I love all sauce: marinara, pesto, alfredo. I grew up in a half-Italian house so we ate red sauce all the time, so I can usually pass that up, I am a big pesto fan though, we rarely ever ate that!

Also 45 minutes is a long time to wait for things to cook. And pesto is my favorite, but mix pesto with alfredo....put it on some pizza crust, chicken, tomatoes, spinach...ok I'm going to go eat my entire fridge now.

oh remote control helicopters. One of the guys in our office has one, so he was flying it over our cubes yesterday and we tried to shoot it down with nerf darts. It was hilarious.

My hubby is so gracious with me and crawls in bed and reads while I fall asleep, and then I recently discovered that he usually crawls back out and lives another 2 hours of the night without me :)

Oh, and marinara all the way.

I am always in bed early when I work days. :)

I had a delicious pear today, and thought of you. It was kind of small, but you take what you can get in Africa! :)

Was it sample day at Costco? That is always an added bonus for Costco trips!

I am usually in bed around 9:00 and asleep by 9:30-10:00. My hubs and I actually sleep in separate rooms (because we used to wake each other up all the time), but he is usually headed to bed around the same time as me.

I would say marinara!

Love the helicopter action shot.

Hubby's better about going to bed early (and I'm the one that needs to wake up first!) He has to tell me to get ready for bed. Usually we go to bed in the 11-12 range, It should probably be earlier though.

Alfredo is awesome! or vodka sauce. or pesto.

Alfredo...yum!!!! We have it like twice a year and my hubby gets really ecxited about it. :)

I love to go to bed early...but my husband likes to go to bed late. We try to compromise...or I fall asleep on the couch. :)

I actually read an article about 5 keys to a happy marriage, and one of the 5 was going to bed at the same time. That being said I always go to bed at the same time as my hubby 9:15, but I do get back up from time to time because I just am not tired at that point yet. With age I need less and less sleep. Used to fall asleep on the couch many a nights at 8:30, now I can be going strong at 10:30.

Marinara all the way. The cream in the alfredo gives me a belly ache. Damn my touchy stomach.

I try to drag my husband to bed before 10 every night; it rarely works even though he's usually up before me. I hope some day I'll require less sleep hours!

Our nightly routine:

8:00 pm - Jason (that's the husband) falls asleep on the couch.

10:00 - 10:30 - Jason decides to go to bed. I tell him, "I'll be there in a minute."

11:00 - 12:15 - I go to bed.

~5:00 am - My alarm goes off and I say to myself, "I'm soooo tired...enough is enough!! I'm definitely going to bed SUPER early tonight!" (Yeah...never happens.)

We don't go to bed until midnight(sometimes 4am...I have no idea why because its not for the fun reason that you thought when you read 4)...so does Amelia...we're teaching her bad things.
And alfredo. The really thick kind from Pizza Factory.

I go into wedding plan zone for TWO days and get totally behind with your blog!

The picture of the helicopter attacking you made me laugh out loud. And serious workouts make me crave two things: protein and carbs. Running makes me NEED carbs. I'll come home after a good run and just shove an english muffin in my mouth on my way to the shower to take the edge off. Swimming makes me NEED protein. I'll swim laps while dreaming of egg beaters and tuna melts. So healthy. I remember the day that I broke a mile in the pool, the lifeguard was eating an Italian sub. Italian subs have NEVER appealed to me (only meat I eat is fish), but the smell of it was absolutely destroying me. I was so ready to tackle her to eat the meat out of that sub.

Alfredo...hands down!

If The Husband would eat Alfredo lasagna I would totally make that instead!

I'm usually an early sleeper, but lately I've been a freaking night owl - my morning workouts have been feeling it!
